Jordan Love Portrait Picture, HOFSM.com; 2021

It’s been a long time since I wrote a My Take on WordPress. But guess what? It’s time to bring it back yet again for the Green Bay Packers. By now, as everyone knows, they were eliminated from the recent NFL Playoffs of the dreaded San Francisco 49ers, but however, this season overall was the season that many thought they had no business being in. But that was just a chunk of the iceberg in the now previous transitional season that it was.

Let’s go back to last March when Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee Show to announce his decision on his future after the 8-9 season in Green Bay. As many recalled, Aaron Rodgers wanted to intently play for the New York Jets. Several weeks later, he got his wish. Aaron Rodgers was signed to the team which laid the plans to get Jordan Love moving as the new starting Quarterback. This was also a move that the Packers wanted to go in a new direction with the starting position. Aaron had no problems with it based on the interview. Also, this was history in the making that the Green Bay Packers were starting their first African American Quarterback EVER. And guess what, there was some backlash on that in the Packer Nation an example, “Why does it have to be about race?” Well, most folks who are non-Black of the NFL Universe, let this sink in: The Green Bay Packers in their 100+ years as a franchise never had a starting quarterback that was African American. I’m stating a fact! There should be no arguments there. Now when we had Brett Favre, there was Aaron Brooks. When we had Aaron Rodgers recently, there was Vince Young, DeShone Kizer, and Seneca Wallace. All were backup Black quarterbacks in preseason, but none of them were full-time starters. Brent Hundley, remember him? He was also a backup to Aaron Rodgers who had more playing time before Matt Flynn took over that one season when Aaron Rodgers was injured at the time. There was a new embracement in which to get the Packer Nation to become interested and support Jordan. Now, when Jordan Love was getting his name out in the open, it wasn’t well receptive. Ranging from Shannon Sharpe, Adam Schein, and dozens of others, who felt that the draft pick of 2020 from Utah State was doomed to fail. They believe that Jordan Love who sat behind Aaron Rodgers for three seasons was going to add more plummet woes to the Packers franchise in his first year starting fully. Well, guess what lads and lassies, most of us were wrong. Jordan Love in his first year as a full-time starter did more well than fail.

His preseason games fared well for those three games before the start of the season. The 18 weeks were a bit of a challenge. The 2023-24 Packers team was going through a transitional season. You know those seasons of changes that were going to be different and have growing pains. Aaron Rodgers predicted this, and it was true. It happened to him in his first year without Brett Favre. Remember that, Packers Backers? We should. We’ve seen this before, so it is quite noted it was played previously. Aaron’s first year as a starter was 6-10 in 2008. Brett Favre’s record as a first-time starter was 8-5. Some of the games I know stood out well were the two victories against Chicago, the rematches against Minnesota on New Year’s Eve, and the Detroit Lions at their hometown stadium, Ford Field, on Thanksgiving Day. (Side note: Jordan Love should have received a turkey leg). A win against Kansas City during the week of my Birthday, Carolina on Christmas Eve, the comeback win against New Orleans at Lambeau, the victory on International Men’s Day vs the LA Chargers in the 50’s Unis, and to top it off, the wildcard playoff win against Dallas at Jerry’s World in Texas that many claimed they shocked the world as the 7th seed.

And with that, came the eight losses in which some should have been victories against The NY Giants, Minnesota, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver, and Tampa Bay. And the more we stressed about growing pains and nearly pulled our hair out when the Packers were about 2-6, we had to remember that it’s Jordan Love’s first year as a starter. He’s just getting his feet wet. So, we just need to relax and chill and assess what he needs to do to get himself and the rest of the team going. Jordan Love, also in the games followed had to learn and still remember that he needed to tame his pass throws to minimize the interceptions that ended the games unceremoniously. But all in that, he stepped up. His teammates from Romeo Doubs, Aaron Jones, Luke Musgrave, Ben Sims, Bo Melton, Dontrayvion Wicks, Zach Tom, Darnell Savage, Tucker Craft, AJ Dillion, Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Patrick Taylor, Emanuel Wilson, Kenny Clark, Lukas Van Ness, Keisean Nixon, De’Vonte Campbell, Kenny Clark, Devonte Wyatt, Jaire Alexander, Carrington Valentine, Jonathan Owens (husband of Simone Biles), Rashan Gary, and a host of others who filled in the gaps all contributed as a TEAM, not just a one-man show. The regular season finished at 9-8, with an overall record of 10-9. Second behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North.

By now again: after last Saturday, the Pack is out of the playoffs. But despite that, Packers Backers, this was more of an examination season. No one expected the Packers to make it this far. Many were asking, “What would it be like since Jordan Love took over Aaron Rodgers’s spot?” There were a lot of what-ifs going on in between. Started off slow and sluggish, and being able to get into the last spot of the playoffs is a bit of a small victory. And here was a feature to be included, this was the first time that this young team aged 25 and under got into the playoffs since 1978. And the first team to win the last #7 Wildcard slot, ever. And get this, Jordan Love is the first Packers Quarterback in years that has started in the regular season with a playoff shot in reach. So, there were some historical feats from this year’s Packers Season to take away from. And that recent L in Santa Clara and other cities can’t take away that either. So, the young Packers will indeed learn from this like many others before they go into the off-season and try to do it again next time.

Many have stated that the future is bright. In the 1989 Movie, Batman Jack Napier (aka The Joker) played by Jack Nicholson, kept telling Lt. Eckhart, “THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE!”. Prince, who wrote the produced the Soundtrack of the movie started out with the song:

“I’ve seen the future, and it will be,
I’ve seen the future, and it works,
And if there’s life after, we will see,
So, I can’t go like a jerk.”

So, there was and is talk about the future of the Green Bay Packers. This year, as I indicated, was a transitional season. This was more like an examination to see what this group was all about. Even though it was their first time, we saw something that is yet to be produced. The 2023-24 Green Bay Packers Team wrote their own footnote to say, “Even though we had no stars, not supposed to be here, but guess what, we’re here. Get used to us”. So, Packer Backers, we had the transitional year behind us, and there was an ideal thought they would be contenders for next year’s Super Bowl. That remains to be seen. But for right now, they are just getting started.

I often said about the era of Jordan Love titled, “The Love Revolution”. This was modeled after Lenny Kravitz’s album, “It Is Time for a Love Revolution” from 2008. Well, the “10VE Revolution” may be on pause for this part of the year, but it has made an impact to start for the next. Everyone says, “The Love Shack”, “All We Need Is Love”, “In Love We Trust” or “Love Overboard”. But the 10VE Revolution still sticks because that is what the current Green Bay Packers franchise needs. Another revolution to start, generate a buzz and get moving towards the next level. Just like businesses, organizations, families, and others, the Packers new Revolution of Jordan Love, or “the G-Way”, has already begun.

For the Packers opponents, you know who you are. Sit back and chill, we’re just getting started. Just watch the G flowing with the Green and Yellow Lambeau style. ONCE MORE!

Go Pack Go.

With all this break I took, I needed to breathe. And with all the concerns and the sentimental mess of opinions and the stupid thoughts of folks not taking the COVID Vaccines, President Biden is doing what he could do, VP Harris the same, R. Kelly is on Trial, The Olympics have been wrapped up, MLB Baseball maybe seeing Brewer Fever Again, The NFL just had it’s warm ups, Aaron Rodgers is back with the Packers, Giannis is still out with the people, folks are taking livestock vaccines (WHAT?!!!!!!!) reckless drivers are a mess in Milwaukee, MPS is back in the buildings, Black men, women, and children are still being targets, the employment stuff is still up for grabs, the so-called “YouTube Woke Folks” spread false rumors online, and oh, the IRS is STILL LATE WITH THE REFUNDS!

And I’m still scratching my head again.

It’s been over a month. Has everyone knows by now that the Milwaukee Bucks are the 2021 NBA Champions? Just checking.

Have any of the R. Kelly fans, the hard-core fans been leaving or supporting him lately?

So Stephen Colbert made his “apology tour” in Milwaukee after his rant from last year. Are we convinced?

It’s been 20 years as of August 25th. How we are still summarizing Aaliyah in memory? And oh, One in the Million was in the loop 25 years later for you new Generation Z folks.

How about those Brewers, though?

The NFL is over with the preseason warm-ups and who’s going to stop Tampa Bay?

As of August 31st: the U.S. is out of Afghanistan. After 20 years of battling the ongoing “Holy War”. After 20 years of our country being attacked on 9/11. President Biden did made decision to end our long stay. But many had stated that we were the lovers of not staying longer than usual. And with all the mess since October 7th, 2001 a month after 9/11, getting attacked on American Soil was and still the worst smackdowns in our American History. And to end the month, our folks lost 13 members of our Marines, Navy and Army in the attack recently. Are we really mad that Biden made the choice again? Many feel we should have been out long time ago.

For all the so-called woke and conscious folks out there that are the so called know it alls: Explain the the real reasons why you hate Roland Martin. Whom, unlike many of you is more woke than you? Some of you are salty.

Milwaukee: what is up with the dumb reckless drivers that are messing up the city? Especially driving recklessly on MPS Schools like Marshall High School?!!!! This year will mark 30 years of me starting high school and I know that my first year was not a good year to start! Food fights, drive by shootings, white kill day, and the then administration didn’t do nothing! Oh yes, I remember. But these so called drivers are doing this crazy at the next level!

For the Alumni we need to get back to get engaged with our former school. Can we do that?

Did the WWE actually went dirty on Bianca Belair at Summerslam? Getting beat in 25 seconds versus Becky Lynch?!! Some are calling it the Kofi Treatment or act of racism. Or an act versus AEW on CM Punk’s debut.

Hold up: James Clyburn said he is “more progressive” than those who surrounded his office most recently. Who agrees?

Speaking of AEW Wrestling, is the thirst of them actually wanting a new weekly war vs the WWE? Let’s face facts.

So are we still afraid to take the COVID Vaccine? All that talk about “My Body My Choice” might end up being, “Your Funeral, your Burial.” Somebody had to say it.

Who attended Summerfest with vaccination cards and/or COVID testings? Don’t speak at once.

So we hear that Lil Nas X is “expecting.” Since when dudes like him started his own pregnancy?!! Wait a second, the reason of this “expectancy” is because of his new album. Another reason for shock value.

Well it assumes that if you apply for a job, or maintaining your job, you probably will need to show your COVID Vaccine Shot Record. Will that hinder your job, or kill your job? But guess what, many of us predicted this ANYWAY! WHY ARE WE TRIPPING?

Source: The “Doctors” of the Anti-Vaxx Movement; debunktionjunction; 2021

Why are many are still believing in the Anti-Vaxx folks especially these fake doctors?!!! DUMB!

This needs to be said for real: For all those who are the non-college crowd and the pro trade school crowd, I need to ask this. If all what you just said about Colleges and haven’t been to one is true, why many are saying this now in 2021? Where was this when many of us were going to College years ago? I still believe that you need to get the jobs in all, but I also believe that EDUCATION STILL MATTERS! We need to keep it real here. Of course folks will be broke in all, but no one says that we started broke in the beginning. That is the truth that NOBODY IS SAYING! I’m all for various opportunities in all, but many need to stop hindering that College won’t work (UNLESS YOU PUT YOUR EFFORT INTO IT!) And for those who are in school studying in all, do not let anyone hinder your education. You made the choice and earned the right to do so. Go get yours!

Quick question for the Sci-Fi fans out there: who really celebrates Star Trek Day? Which happens to be on September 8th? Which also will mark 55 years since the original series made its debut?

Is this really the last dance for Aaron Rodgers with the Packers?

Most recently, the state of Texas kind of turned the clock back when it regards to women’s rights or in this case the right to choose. For all the Texas residents including those that moved out of Milwaukee like a long time ago, are you really happy with that decision or not?

So I’m assuming that everybody knows that USA Basketball is still the kings and queens of the world with gold medals. Will there be stronger in a different fashion once the Olympics go to Paris in 2024?

It’s hard to imagine that right now that Labor Day will be coming up, and it will feature the nontraditional end of Summer. Which means that the kids will be going back to school, folks will be going back to work maybe and above all else football season returns. But the main reason why September is here so quickly is because that people cannot wait until fall! So here’s the question what do you normally do when summer turns to fall?

September is the month of two awareness months that we should know the most: Childhood cancer awareness, and for the men out there prostate cancer awareness. Here’s the question before October gets here many of us will go all out in pink for breast cancer awareness month. But the real question is for September, why can’t we go all out for the Children wearing yellow for Childhood Cancer awareness, and yes what is up with the fact that we can’t support the Men when it comes to prostate cancer wearing light blue? You got to be fair. Come on people!

Is anybody surprised that Halloween merchandise is in the stores like right now?

Who hasn’t received their Federal Stimulus Payment check yet? Come on, IRS!

With all the “now hiring” signs floating around of various companies, and for those who are still not interested in going back to work, this is one other question: If you are underemployed or unemployed, or still waiting in the wings of someone to give you spare change in the parking lot, do you think it’s time for you to start looking for a job like right now why you or anyone are still an able bodied person?

What is real better right now for a job: finding one, or making one?

In 2020, virtual learning was like the new norm for students in schools and colleges. Now that the semester has resumed again for the fall and winter, is virtual learning, or will virtual learning will still be the norm or a norm when it comes to education regardless of opinion or thought?

And the final question of this long awaited return of the scratching my head blogs: this is another virtual learning question: Which of the following services is the best to use: Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams, or Skype?

Not the “scratching my head” blog I had in mind, but guess what, this is just another beginning just to let me breathe again. Plus also to restart my generating thoughts of the mind that most folks have already known too long. Stay tuned!

Sign of the DNC 2020

It’s over. The DNC 2020 Convention has been sent to the archives. And yes, it was different than the previous 4 years of the duration. And yet, this was supposed to be in Milwaukee. Yes, were talking my hometown that last year was so engaged to find different ways to get engaged in this thing called “A once in the lifetime opportunity.” From last spring to this past Thursday, we were excited to have this moment in the spotlight, to the monkey wrench thrown into the machine that messed it up due to the health issue of the Coronavirus. We know this was a messed up move, but however the health and wellness of us as a whole was on a watch.

Well let me run down the Days in which I think stood out in the Virtual Convention:

Sunday – This to me was the pre game show/kick off to the DNC Convention in which Gospel Artists performed as well as different ministers gave prayers for the Convention. Also, Captiva Productions here in Milwaukee gave a decent powerful rendition of “America The Beautiful.” Way before the coronavirus.

  • Monday – Between the speeches and the performers and the other features, Michelle Obama owned the night. Hands down. No, Michelle was not an Angry Black Woman mad at the world. Stop that mess.
  • But in a Milwaukee sense: our Congresswoman (and Milwaukee Public Schools Alum) Gwen Moore kicked off the Convention well in a “spirited Milwaukee/Wisconsin way”.
  • Tuesday – Between the statements of the leaders of the day, it was narrowed to Dr. Jill Biden and the 42nd President, Bill Clinton.
  • Wednesday – With the speakers like Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi, it was also the night when the 44th President Barack Obama told the truth that 45 “can’t do the job”.
  • And to add that Sen. Kamala Harris had accepted the nomination to be the VP of the U.S.
  • Thursday – It was about Joe Biden. Not only accepting the nomination but also much more to stand up and to go one on one with 45.

Those to me were the highlights that showcased the DNC Convention. However, let’s keep it real why many folks had to joke and to make an assumption that Milwaukee was at fault that it went virtual. Usually, Milwaukee doesn’t get the spotlight of opportunity as much like the DNC. Granted it was the city’s first time doing this. Will the city get a second chance to do this again? Most think so. The real reason why that the convention had to go virtual YET AGAIN was in fact due to the Coronavirus Outbreak. That was THE MAIN REASON! Let’s face it, this year’s Convention like many other events, reunions, special events, weddings, and a host of others were either cancelled or postponed due to this health concern that many feel it’s a hoax. Even 45 thinks that this is fake, the so-called woke/conscious/RGB folks, the overly patriotic with the racist rebel flags, all believe that this outbreak of the Coronavirus is phony. REALLY? This is what they think. And to date, how many folks died from the COVID? 177,000 plus so far? And having all this mess we’re dealing with plus folks not going by the rules of social distancing of 6 feet, with the masks on when out in public. Already you had some groups from Sturgis to a packed concert somewhere in the country just mocking the thought that it’s all blown out of proportion. AMERICA WAKE THE F****** UP!!!! This is no joke. I recently lost a former teacher that I had in Tech School this year due to the coronavirus. And he was 75 years old. He was a black teacher taught printing here in Milwaukee. He hooked me up with a job working as a bindery assistant in Wauawtosa. And when I hear about all this “mess” about the mocking of those whom have passed on, this makes me sick! As in pissed.

Second, getting back to the DNC and this taking the digs of humor. If you’re a Stephen Colbert fan, obviously you’re late as hell. Real Late. Oh, that so-called “Virtual Milwaukee” video that he posted on his show, was so foul. I’ve seen worst videos than that. After the late night guest had to gesture his humor of our fair town, we Milwaukeeans had to say in defense that some of the old buildings that he had in this so-called virtual video were be updated. And they still are. For all you Colbert fans, I get it. It’s business! Oh the next time he uses his mouth in regarding Milwaukee, he better take notes from Jay Leno. The last time he was here it was during one of our every 5 year anniversaries of celebrating Harley-Davidson. He however had this joke about the Harley riders due to being fat and skinny or somewhat ever thing he was on. However, the so-called joke was running a muck among those who were in town at the time on the Harleys. Jay however confessed in his words: “Sheeh, Milwaukee it was a Joke!” Well apparently that DID NOT sit well then and now. I mean take it as it was. That was just bad all around. So yes, Stephen Colbert you need to watch your mouth as a non-viewable comedian as you are. Nobody actually cares about your show as a matter of fact, when was the last time you visited Milwaukee anyway? If those that made fun of Milwaukee and never visited here for any reason, consider yourself a coward. We used to have a saying around here: If you’re going to make it Milwaukee, you got to KNOW Milwaukee!”

And not only that, most of the logos shouldn’t have been changed featuring the state of Wisconsin.

Now the big million dollar question happens to be is, when or if the DNC decides to do Milwaukee again for their national convention? Already the buzz behind this has began to develop as an idea to redo the event for 2024. From Mayor Tom Barrett to the L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti had stated that they would like the DNC Committee to choose Milwaukee again due to this current climate of the Coronavirus.

And yes, the guests, hotels, activities, events, and volunteers that were about 50,000 of us were ready for those who wanted to come. Even Joe Biden. I also signed up to do a volunteer gig but like many they didn’t need us to help out. This was when the virus was rapidly beginning to surge. However, with all this happening many had to ask, what about the positives? What about the positives that the DNC Convention in a virtual format actually went through?

One of the positives: was saving lives. We know that many of the guests and speakers outside of Milwaukee had not attended in person, but the use of the virtual communications was a plus to at least to have something. The DNC was downsized as we all know and the cost was about 3 Million. With the event being downsized, some of that cost was saved. And about 75 computers were unused and donated to the Milwaukee Public Schools.

Second when the delegates were announcing the votes for each state and territory most of the areas had their respective surroundings of the Edmund Pettus Bridge lit in blue for the late John Lewis, areas in Alaska, Detroit with the GM Vehicles, and many other areas that were recognizable.

Us in Milwaukee had the Wisconsin Center in the section of the podium. Featured below is our Lt. Governor (and another Milwaukee Public Schools Alum) Mandela Barnes whom was apart of the virtual roll call of the DNC.

About the previous thought, that should give us an idea to use either Harley-Davidson Museum, or the Art Museum, Hoan Bridge or yes Summerfest. Or even Lakeshore State Park where it’s cool to have the Milwaukee Skyline in the background. Or even yes, Fiserv Forum without the Fonzie statue. So yes many were taking notes! Oh wait a minute: I noticed that when the delegates were announcing the roll call, I looked at the signs, and most of them had the D20 symbol with the State of Wisconsin silloette featured. There was also talk that Milwaukee was not featured enough, but that was resolved to say that again, they were in our city, and the DNC picked it. Just a reminder check!

Finally, as a resident of Milwaukee who lives in the city everyday, this is not the end. I can see this as a new beginning for the city to resurrect. Already Milwaukee has begun the process to try to compete with other cities to get to the highest point of getting to the next level. I mean, yes we got our festivals, concerts, The Milwaukee Streetcar, Theaters, Sports Teams of the Brewers, Bucks, Packers, Badgers, Golden Eagles, UW-Milwaukee Panthers, and yes the Soccer Team Milwaukee Wave and our IHL team Admirals. Of course, we still have to address the issues of segregation which began long before the 1960’s and still lingers today along with the 57% of our African-American population are under and unemployed. Of course yes this like our health disparities, and concerns with the Law Enforcement, which lingers everyday. And it will be documented if and when the DNC does comes back for their future conventions. The Wisconsin Democrats knows this well.

So as we have to listen to the upcoming Klan Rally……….I mean the RNC, many of us will be taking notes to see what they really want to do but will not buy into it. The Republicans know it and 45 does know. But like the DNC, they too will be in virtual mode around North Carolina and other places. And don’t be surprised if many in the black republican section might not be recognized. *SPOILER ALERT*

Okay. It seems that the holiest of days upon us. We’re talking about Christmas Day. However, by the time you’re reading this it’s Christmas Eve in the world today. And yes like many others you’re probably out shopping getting your gifts, ready to get them wrapped. Watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” or a movie called “The Night Before” or “Home Alone” or any other holiday movie of your choosing with your with your family and friends. But like anything else even on the holiest night of the year, we still deal with concerns and problems in the world. And also in America. And in our communities. And in our neighborhoods. So as we celebrate Christmas 2019 tomorrow, most of you already right now. Yes it is the happiest holiest days of the year. But then again, I’m scratching my head….

So the woke conscious folks hate on Christmas this badly all this time? What else is new?

Question: why do people get offended with the “X” in Merry Christmas? Many already didn’t know that the X is the UNKNOWN! Go back to your Roman Numerals from History Class! And futhermore, no one really knows when Jesus was born anyway. Let that sink in.

Who really deserves a Christmas holiday? Those who have everything or those who have nothing to share or to comment or to explain to get mad?

Yes we all know that Christmas is not the same for us older folks. But why do the older folks have to spoil the fun for the young to enjoy their first or some 18th or 12th Christmas as a child? Many of you are just bitter! Let them have their fun. For now.

Did Eddie Murphy brought it on SNL?

For us the Introverted, are we holding up our end of the deal with some quiet time in between breaks? We know us!

Okay truth-tellers and woke folks: can you really explain to me exactly what truth lies within Christmas being as a “pagan holiday?” If Christmas is supposed to be a so-called pagan holiday, do you think your birthdays/anniversaries are pagan holidays too? Yeah, follow that! Is Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, or Marcus Garvey Day a Pagan Day? Don’t get me started!

Of all the old School Christmas jams: Which sticks out the most? No matter if it’s soul, R&B, Rock, Jazz, or Hip Hop? You already know!

So, what was the best gift to give for your kids for Christmas of 2019? And for the Adults what was the best tech gadget? Or woman’s gift, for Christmas of 2019 that you may have missed or didn’t know about?

For many of us who are experiencing a “Blue Christmas”, that means that there is someone who used to sitting in the chair or at a table spot that is very empty is no longer with us. So the big question is what will be the ultimate opportunity to not only to try to move forward, but try to build new ideas for new traditions with the Christmas holiday?

Okay this needs to be asked: How was the new Star wars movie? Don’t say nothing here!

For us in the Midwest, we are having a foggy Christmas Eve. And also a mild Christmas Day. Everybody in Milwaukee has a Harley out with a Golf Game?

Back in the day, sitting in front of a TV with the commercials on. Now who remembers the real Classic Christmas commercials that used to get you in the mood for the spirit of the holiday, and also the future of the presents to be opened?

Who’s ready for the TV Yule log on Christmas morning? All day until about 6 p.m.? If not, you still have the Google Fireplace.

I need to know this question. How you going to top Christmas in 2020?

Word on the street, or in the neighborhood, or in the world that one of the cathedrals in France may not have a Christmas Eve Mass for the first time in 200 plus years. That’s like a long streak being broken. Any other Cathedral or Church experienced that?

Next week in 2020, January 1st: can the Badgers ACTUALLY WIN THE ROSE BOWL?!

Milwaukee in years past had great Christmas decoration things. Who wants to see them back?

Has anyone ever got tired of the Hallmark Christmas shows yet?

Oh I see that the other channels have Christmas shows out. Now you know have to realize that other channels like BET or TVONE have their Christmas Specials on lockdown like crazy?

For the Jewish readers, How is your Hanukkah going?

Is it time to do a modern version of the following movies like It’s a Wonderful Life? Even in today’s times of the so-called woke and consciousness of darn near everything?

Here’s a question also and this may kind of hurt: How is because that Churches are not scratching the surface enough of the real meaning of Christmas as much as everyone else?

Bonus question to ask on this Christmas Eve: And I know many of you have probably seen this movie. Who really got scared of FX’s version of A Christmas Carol? That right there, was THE CHRISTMAS CAROL! It was not your Grandpa’s or Grandmother’s Version. It wasn’t the fuzzy warm version like Mickey or Bugs Bunny. The BBC and FX went so DEEP! That was a Dickens!

Does feeling nostalgic at Christmas all day really bringing back those memories? And if so how will it go for the next era?

Okay this needs to be asked to what was the purpose of 45 have to implement the thing called the “Space Force?” Really?

For 2020, I hope the Democrats get a real Christmas present by being hard on 45 for next year. Can they actually make this happen without beating each other up like the royal rumble?

BEFORE YOU VOTE: Have you checked your Voter Stats lately?

Before this year is over, and I know many of us are going to be doing this a lot: What is going to be the best and worst of 2019 that you want to forget, pass, and not to move forward?

I don’t know about you, but when Christmas comes, does anyone’s mind wonders off and forgetting about the day and time? And no, there is no weed or alcohol.

Do people really seriously wake up about 3 in the morning for opening the presents?

Should Black Milwaukee do a story of the history of Christmas in their household traditions?

Optional question: who traditionally goes to church on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? And then to the house and CHILL?

The Milwaukee Bucks went hard on Christmas Day vs the Knicks last year. Could they do the same vs the Sixers this year?

PACKER BACKERS! We got the NORTH! But we know it’s not enough. What is enough you asked? You already know!

Rumor has it the Christmas garland represents a symbol of a snake going around a tree. Now I need to know this serious question and I know a lot of you on Facebook have probably asked this question or read you some what statement on the question with all those memes: Where is the actual proof of reference? This is really a fault on our Education!

For my Sagittarius folks, did we had a good season that made our Birthdays good? Sling the arrows all the way!

There’s always a War on Christmas. Why?!!!!

More and more people have actually spent money on Christmas day than any other day of the whole year. Why is that?

So the Christianity Today is now against the words of Trum….I mean 45. Where have they been at?!!

Should every holiday be a Christmas Day in it? Easy question to spoil.

Why do people get tired on Christmas Eve anyway? You know it’s good exercise! You know, walking and junk.

And one final question to ask: who still does display Black Santas on the front lawn or in this case having a Black Santa/Mrs. Claus teaming up at the Malls and schools? Oh yeah, there are Black Santa everywhere. Even as displays in the house. Just like the white ones.

So with that: Merry Christmas everybody! Now you may unwrap your gifts.

Last year, the Milwaukee Bucks has one of the worst seasons of their franchise history. And yet with at record of 15-67 was not a good sign for the team’s design of the future, it was not promising that the record would equate them to the next opportunity of the level as given.

But keep in mind, this was last year. After the season had past, the Bucks were given a new HC by the name of Mike Budenholzer who previously coached the Atlanta Hawks and also was on staff with Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs. And yet also, part of the Spurs’ Success was with Championship Experience. Coach Bud brought a new fresh of perspective to get the Bucks moving to a new direction of offense, and yes DEFENSE! I think who before the Bucks were given a chance to explore Coach Bud’s idea of gameplay, many were reminded of the Spurs’ days as ball handling and many others. Now he’s bringing it to the Deer in which so far this season, has been proven otherwise.

The new “Fear The Deer” moniker had caught on as part when the Brewers were championship bound. And yes, Milwaukee Sports (we know the Packers) but MILWAUKEE SPORTS in general is already rising up out of the ground to be able to compete as a medium market city. Never forget, Milwaukee is a Medium Market town with experience of Breweries, Industrial, City of Festivals Celebrations, and of course if you’re a snowflake: Socialist historical figures like Juneau, Kilbourn and Walker that owned their own portions of the city. Despite of those who think the city is still like 1975 in which I was born afterwards, Milwaukee is on rise to be known!

But getting back to the Bucks: The 2018-19 Deer Squad held down the record of 60-22 as in the first in the League. And in the inaguural season of the Fiserv Forum and conversely, the Deer District when it’s becoming a new mainstay of entertainment and sports. If many HAVE NOT seen or visited the Deer District while the old Bradley Center is almost gone with demolition, you are sleeping! No matter if its the Good City Brewing, or the Mecca Sports Grill, or the Punch Bowl Social, this district is coming up along along with the Milwaukee Streetcar like or not, and more attractions like the 2020 Democratic National Convention next summer in July.

But AGAIN: Back to the Bucks! The Bucks have everyone’s attetion. They got my attention back on my Birthday of December 5th when the team beaten the Detroit Pistons. Yes, I was at the game (a first for me on my birthday) when Giannis and company did the job. And yes, Giannis did his signature dunks to capture the excitement in the arena. Oh yes, later on there were a couple of trades getting Mirotic, Ersan, Pau Gasol, Brook Lopez and George Hill as an example to get the team more competitive. What’s even more shocking in this thing that the 7 footers are three point shooters! And they’re good! It’s been a turnaround in under a year that the Bucks did and here they are currently as of press time in the Eastern Conference Finals. Note: this is the first time in 18 years the team has reached this far. The last time the city was so Buck wild you ask? When the team had the Big Three of Glenn Robinson, Sam Cassell and Ray Allen. They were the pre-Fear The Deer before Fear The Deer. Wait a second: the first championship team from 1971 were FEAR THE DEER!

What’s more cool this year that several players and coaches from the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers came out to support the Bucks. Wisconsin Badgers Legend like Ron Dayne (whom was so good 20 years ago) came out to give the deer support. Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Oscar Roberton and other NBA Legends all came out for the Bucks. Marquis Johnson became the latest NBA Legend to have his number 8 retired in the Fiserv Forum. And yet more and more folks are just now yet again getting a chance to get a glimpse of Bucks Fever 2019!

But of course: not many are all out for the Bucks. Of course many were all about their teams and yet they rooted for their squads in sorts. But I have to talk about the teams that the Bucks went against and it had a strange stop up north. First was a sweep on the Detroit Pistons, then it was 4-1 against the Boston Celtics and this was strange: The Toronto Raptors. Where the Bucks won 2 out of the six games against the team that routed them. Yes, we know Toronto. Kahwi Leonard and Danny Smith of the Raptors are no strangers to NBA Confrence finals and they have been there before. I think after the second game, there was no telling that the Bucks would have a tough edge in Jurassic Park/Scotiabank Arena in beating the Raptors. They had a tough edge alright. Dropping 3 games in T.O. and surprising stealing one in Milwaukee. Oh, let’s talk about this rapper named Aubrey. Or as many calls him; Drake. This whole thing with Drake is nothing more than a dude that is reaching. When the series began, there was this #BreakFromDrake in which one of the Milwaukee Radio stations took it to Facebook and stated that they were not to play any of Drake’s songs during the Milwaukee/Toronto Game Series. The station was Kiss-FM 103.7 They made it clear and stuck to their promise. Oh, and this so-called “Drake Curse” was a distraction. Obviously the series was just about Drake making a fool of Milwaukee and other teams that he wanted to lose. Oh, good job Aubrey! But I wouldn’t count his chicken before they hatch. Nope not one bit. According to the NBA, they already warned Drake not to get so, distractive during the NBA Playoffs. Last time this happened, Drake apparently had a run in with one of the Cleveland Cavaliers players and that ended almost in a fist fight. Talk about family values and role models. Really? And he’s from Canada.

Even this so-called distractive Drake Curse had reached the Wendy Williams Show. I read that summary on social media and apparently, Wendy doesn’t know shiznit from a wristwatch in regarding Milwaukee. She even got Aaron Rodgers mixed up in this. For the record to all the clueless Wendy gossipers and her personally: Aaron Rodgers PLAYS FOR THE GREEN BAY PACKERS! THAT IS IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN! Learn the game idiots! Especially those up north cross the border.

CALLOUT: Let me tell Toronto this: If you don’t know nothing about Milwaukee, (and this blog does go international) may I say as a lifelong resident of the city, pack your bags and take a visit! Get a passport and you either fly or drive to Milwaukee and again take a visit. Learn, engage and simply get out and explore the city that you know nothing about. It ain’t about sports. Oh, don’t feel bad about it because many have said the same thing, But they also VISITED the city. For you Americans that already know about Milwaukee and have not visited, you realized that the DNC is coming here in 2020? Oh, the location is the Fiserv Forum. I’m sure many know about it by now. I mean didn’t Houston and Miami were in the running? And this caught my eye that some of you Raptor folks respected the Bucks? Really!? After all the Drake Distraction crap?

But anyway back to the Bucks. With all the NBA Playoff fever here, it seemed that Milwaukee dollars were actually winning. And it had won. Plus it brought folks together in the new area of the Deer District that is now a new spot to hang out with Good City Brewing, The Mecca Sports Grill and the Punch Bowl Social. And yes we should include the NBA on TNT Crew with Wisconsin Born Ernie Johnson visiting his old neighborhood that grew up in this area by the way. Yeah, never forget where you started. Keep in mind also, this is the same mentality that the Brewers captured last year in the attempt for the World Series. So yes, overall the City of Milwaukee full of denial, marred with segregation issues and racism, plus lead water issues can seem to fall into place with a sports team or teams that can generate a buzz. And yet Milwaukee is stepping up with a 21st Century mentality that is has to learn to compete with other cities that had that same train of thought going forward.

As for the players, yes the team has to make decisions to either keep or let go some that has fought for the Deer. We know Giannis will be back and I expect some of the core players that started the generated fire that made the moniker “FEAR THE DEER” actually work to be a thing! So yes, I say this the Bucks at a time were a champion, a contender, a basement low record nobody cared always losing team that had some several times to get a championship, once in a blue moon moment to get a Central Division Championship noticed. But yes, don’t assume that the Bucks will get another run at a championship and also getting a shot at that brass ring and a ticket taped parade down Wisconsin Avenue they definitely deserve. It’s been 48 years since the Bucks won a NBA Title. But that drought will not last very long for another shot of the gold. And yes, Mike Budenholzer one year ago took this low record team and made into a contending powerhouse. And yes, he was again on Gregg Popovich’s staff with the San Antonio Spurs to get some of the Championships.

So yes, FEAR THE DEER!

And later on: RESPECT THE DEER!

It’s only the beginning. Again. This time, it’s a restart.

Before we Americans throw down on the turkey, yeah there will be political drama at the dinner table. There will be many other factors in which we will ask the question, what are we thankful for in all. It’s also a Thanksgiving that yet the truth will bust out that some of our Ingenious Native American Folks will not partake in the holiday due to the national day of mourning. If you’re not familiar with it, research! Even you might watch football and the ongoing traditional Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade ushering the Christmas Season.

But likewise….I’m scratching my head again.

Milwaukee, how’s that streetcar thing doing? Overall, please. No Hop Haters from those who DON’T live in Milwaukee!

So it seems now that the People’s Flag and the Milwaukee Arts Board have to get back in talking about the ongoing idea of getting a new flag. We’ve all have seen it like everyday. But many will agree that the People’s Flag Folks HAVE NOT talked to the whole Milwaukee Community. Why?!

They say that the voting never mattered in the Governor’s race in Wisconsin, mainly Milwaukee. Ummmm, did anyone see the totals while yet folks complained?

Can you be a real church member and bring a level of consciousness that many might fear and still be loyal? Not talking about money in all.

Can the Wisconsin Badgers think big and quietly usher in better talent to run pistol plays? Be advised, Big Ten.

Black Woke Folks: we need to stop all this talk about getting us not to vote. And what is the reason why? Back off! Jeez!

Mostly, in that Georgia Election, the reason why Stacy Abrams lost was due to voter suppression, and I dare say: Racism. Agree or disagree?

Remember when the WWE or the WWF Survivor Series was ON Thanksgiving Day?

What will it take to get the Green Bay Packers to get red hot AGAIN?

You know that Country music has two African-American singers that are killing the scene right now. Like Kane Brown and Jimmie Allen. Heard of them? And Country Music is part of Black History!

Who still goes to the clubs and bars after the big meal on Thanksgiving to shake off the pounds?

How about those Milwaukee Bucks though?

And why did Andrew Gillum lose in Florida again, to really someone who is deemed racist?

Since November is National Veterans and Military Families Month, how really those who love our Military actually SUPPORT our Military? And how many of us really love our Veterans SUPPORT OUR VETS?!! Don’t start illing of not being a fake patriot.

When will Milwaukee EVER get their Holiday Parade…..err Christmas Parade BACK? Come on Harley-Davidson, Northwestern Mutual, Kohls, etc!

This is very disturbing: Why a fight in the Milwaukee Courthouse?

It seems that this portrait in Baraboo sparked an outrage. Of course. But what was the real reason again? Let me guess: that blasted Nazi salute and of course that got Wisconsin in a bad light yet again.

I asked this question last time and I’ll ask it again: The Hallmark Christmas Show is back. Who’s still watching them?!

No offense to the Christmas decors but, why does Thanksgiving get suddenly skipped? I’m mean HELLO! Turkey Day is missing!

This is interesting: Sagittarius Season BEGINS on Thanksgiving Day. Sags: what are we thankful for 9th house rulers?

Remember when Thanksgiving shows actually was reclaiming their time?

Men, has #movember really sunk in? After all that no shave, November thing?

International Men’s Day had come and gone. Why is this day not formally recognized again? And why are the whiny feminists of the world, still treat as this day being sexist?

Speaking of Feminism: why target Kleenex for Mansize tissues again?

Wait a minute: there is a Football Game out the Nintendo Switch? Not Madden! But how do many like the MFL? As in the Mutant Football League? Rated M but this might attract those in the think tanks to actually MAKE A FOOTBALL GAME for the Switch! Madden, or make an “NFL 2K” Sports game. I’m calling this!

Men (and women),  can we remind ourselves not to complain about International Men’s Day on International Women’s Day next year in 2019?!!!

When Thanksgiving Day is here: is it Macy’s, Football and Food? or is it Macy’s, Food then FOOTBALL?

When Thanksgiving is over, and for many of us who do not work on a Friday, why is it necessary for those who work on Thanksgiving have to start the Black Friday sales all early?

Speaking of Black Friday: NO SHOPPING FOR ME! But who will be the idiot of the moment when engaging in others for stuff on sale in a violent physical bloodbath? It’s bound to happen. You know it!

Speaking of Small Business Saturday: Who will actually shop locally? No national stuff!

Speaking of Cyber Monday: Best online deals right now. Who has it?

Speaking of Giving Tuesday: Who will donate? To Schools, Organizations, Alumni, Church Groups, Fraternity, Sorority, Legion, etc?

I don’t get it. Since the victory of the recent Wisconsin midterm election, there might be some folks from the black community might call out the new administration of not being diverse enough. My question is: why aren’t many who are complaining (i.e. Facebook and Twitter) not applying?!!

Will Creed II be a hit?

In the last 100 seasons, how many games the Packers won on Thanksgiving? I know, I know. They got archives.

Yes, there was a time that the Native Americans were slaughtered outside after a church service on a Sunday, and years later it was dubbed as the National Day of Mourning. A real question: do many today know that part of the history?

Who might fill up the table that once was occupied by those who passed on?

Who will fill up the table and set a new tone for the big dinner?

And the last question before: how REALLY thankful are you? Like really?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Expect a “Be Thankful” Traditional Blog

Well as we know, the 2018 season of the Milwaukee Brewers has ended. As you’re reading this they didn’t beat the LA Dodgers but they beat them 4 games to 3 in a Best of 7 for the NL Pennant. Flaws were a concern, as well as positives. Plainly speaking the season wasn’t a total embarrassment. However that speaking, the team like 2011 had a “Strange Brew of Confidence” of actually making a name for themselves and for the city. So with that, I present to the squad this blog letter.

Dear Milwaukee Brewers:

It’s me, Stephen. And I’m potentially observing you.

Call this: “Strange Brew of Confidence, part II.”

First, let me say as a “Fan Observer in training” and I can cosign with the rest of the Brewer Nation these two words: Thank You. Thank you for all the highlights and best moments that you ground all this time and getting this far. Thanks for that!

SSP_MillerPark_MilwaukeeBrewersPostSeason_2018

I for one kind of got in late. Forgive me on this. Yes, I’ve been observing. The reason why I observe the squad because I think I wanted to see how the season would go. No, I’m not a die hard, and by the way, Die-Hard Fans GO HARD! They stay loyal every day like The Pack Daddy on Packer Sunday Football Games! Yes, the idealistic was captured and was presented to us in a “Brewer Fashion”.

Oh yes, the season was fun. Fun seeing Eric Thames being that home run guy that everyone wanted to see. Or the rise of Christian Yelich as a player in the making. Or Jesus Aguliar making nods on camera after smashing homers. The rise was coming.

On the flipside was this ongoing saga of Josh Hader and the discovery of racist tweets discovered after the All-Star Game. In which we were all puzzled about the standing ovation after the discovery. And let this be known that yes, Josh Hader WAS WRONG! And yes many of us, or should I say Baseball Fans also had to ask, is it wrong to support Josh Hader after what he said, in the VERY SAME WEEK that Hulk Hogan was reinstated into the Hall of Fame status of the WWE after what he said years ago of someone non-white who would date his daughter? This remains to be a hot button topic, but there is no denying his pitching ability for strikeouts.

Speaking of that: Jeremy Jeffress. I’ve been studying him. However, he needs to concentrate on his game in executing the finish! Gotta work on him. Just needs to be sharp with the strikeouts!

Also since we are thinking this, I’m going to say it. Eric Thames must come back. Now we all know that he had an injury that kept him out most of the games. However, I think that if he were playing against Dodgers in the NLCS in all of the game series, in my estimation: the Brewers (NOT THE DODGERS) would be in the World Series facing the Red Sox right now. Just my thing to say. But the same October 20th date in which the Crew was eliminated, is the same date that the 1982 Wallbangers lost Game 7 to the St. Louis Cardinals. And I was 5 years old then. But anyway, I think what I said had nothing to do with Eric in all, but just to think if he were playing though, the Brew Crew would be World Series Bound. I’m just saying in my view.

Other than that, after the stunt of Manny Machado did on Jesus Aguliar, I’m glad that the Brewers did not get him! I’ll be not surprised if Boston beats him. On the flip switch in all, the rise of Jesus will indeed continue. He has to be sharp! Others like Ryan Braun who has been on the squad for a while is still getting his reps. Now I need to comment about Christian Yelich. He’s a good player. Had that cycle going in all. He’s really good. But I want Christian to be better than he was this year. And the others like Eric Kratz, Mike Moustakas, Lorenzo Cain, Orlando Arcia, Manny Pina, Brandon Woodruff, Corey Knebel, Travis Shaw, Corbin Burnes, and a host of others are all good, but still NEED TO BE MORE SHARP if making a run to the postseason for 2019, while staying on top the NL Central.

SSP_DefendMKE_MilwaukeeBrewersPostSeason_2018

Finally, I need to comment on these words: DefendMKE. Actually, I really like the concept of it. I say save that #DefendMKE for next year and beyond. I don’t want it to be just for the Brewers game only. I want that to be a way of life. EVERYDAY! Because every day, there is always the negative about the city that we know. Crime. Segregation. Racism. Not enough jobs. You know it. It’s not just the job of the Brewers to “DefendMKE”, it’s the job of EVERY citizen who works, plays, volunteers, contributes, and mainly has to do the honorable thing by really standing up for the city no matter what. We know it’s a hard, medium-sized climate here. And it’s on the rise in some areas. But the ideal about Defending Wisconsin’s largest city may be controversial for some (who may have moved out) but the fact of the remaining citizens here, we need to really defend this town in a new way to prove that we have to deal with right now. So I say this: EVERY Milwaukeean (and Milwaukeeans at heart) should properly adopt #DefendMKE in a way that needs to be done.  Maybe change it up like #DefendMilwaukeeNow or #DefendBrewCity or, I don’t know. As long it’s cool with Major League Baseball.

On the Stephen’s Spot Twitter page and as well as the Stephen’s Spot Facebook Page, I made the references at the Brewers as a Dark Horse team. I kept saying “Dark Horses” a lot for a reason.  And I’m like….that’s them. They are the Dark Horses into the Postseason. No one I think never saw them coming and expecting them to be in the race this far. No one. I didn’t see it coming. But then again, they earned the right to be Dark Horses. And also in the ongoing hashtagging of #ThisCrewThisOctober #TakeBackTheNLCentral #TakeTheNLCS in all, it was just about hyping up the Crew for the postseason. Hey, this was the hometown Brewers here.

Oh did I mention that there were other “Brewer Fever” things like this we know that was floating around?

Or this one in which a local Milwaukee Rap Group made a song about Christian Yelich:

Or this sign outside of City Hall?

SSP_MilwaukeeCityHall_MilwaukeeBrewersPostSeason_2018

Or the question which logo was the best? – We know it’s the long loving Ball and Glove shaped like the MB.

And yes, our Milwaukee County Transit thing was on point:

SSP_MilwaukeeCountyTransitBus_MilwaukeeBrewersPostSeason_2018

In conclusion: 2018 Milwaukee Brewers Organization in all, you’ve had a good season. Many of us who are not baseball fans had probably missed out. But if given the energy and opportunity for next season, get the doors open. Let us see what we need to do in order to get this interesting. Let us see what is needed and interested for us. After all, it’s been 48 years since the debut. It’s been 61 years since Milwaukee had a World Series Championship. And yes it’s been a long minute that this team, this Brewers Company can break out of the funk of being a “lovable team” into a “powerhouse of opportunity” to get a championship. NL, maybe. A World Series? Still on the radar.

Brewers, your championship is coming.

Sincerely,

Stephen

P.S. – Still remain a Dark Horse!

Before us Americans get the cooking stuff out, it’s time think. Get your thinking caps on. With all the media mess going on from the flag to racism, we know food is source of healing. So is the mind preparing the food. But as always, I’m scratching my head again.

You realize that “Movember” really started with voting right? Way before the health awareness male mustache thing. Research!

Why is #45 wasting his time with LaVar Ball?!

Trump supporters: some of you realize that LeVar Burton is not LaVar Ball. How dumb is that?

Milwaukee, stop playing with the Streetcar questions. You know it’s giving folks jobs right? Quit playing!

I want to know: WHY are callers calling Churches for money?!!

Why are the Packers not playing good football right now you ask? – 5 words here – Anthony Barr injured Aaron Rodgers. Say it again and again.

What about those Wisconsin Badgers Football players?

So, Atlanta tore down the Georgia Dome. But why many are upset?

In a recent report, the Greater Milwaukee Area is not good when it comes to African-Americans. Do we know this like, already?

According to Forbes, it once stated that many HR’s look at resumes that get tossed after looking almost scary. What is the real reason why many aren’t getting the jobs?! Race, Credit Checks, Education?

So the Facebook group, “The Whole Milwaukee #1” is now getting noticed. So my questions are, why are those using it for swapping drugs, beat downs and not enough for networking with our people?

Speaking of networking, does the Milwaukee MPS Alumni actually know about it’s networking events and actually go besides the Alumni Reunions?

Is Mahlon Mitchell ready for real to run for Governor in Wisconsin? And you realize that Wisconsin never had a black Governor since it’s founding?

Did the black Veterans received much love on Veterans Day? Minority Vets don’t get that much love though.

International Men’s Day came and went on November 19th. Why is this day not honored enough in the United States? Close your mouths, feminists! It’s not about you.

Hey Sagittarius folks, our season is here. Ready to sling the Arrows?

So GOP, is Trump really that guy? Seriously?!

Again, why are we body shaming?! This ain’t High School.

Every church men’s group should know about the safe sanctuary rules from sexual harassment to violent outcomes. Does your Church men’s group do this?

For those of us who have to spend Thanksgiving without a special loved one for the first time this year, how will we get through this? And the same for Christmas, etc? It’s hard for us. Even my family.

Why is it always that Black Men, (good ones mind you) get all mistakenly for something that they didn’t do for years and years? Black women, you must explain your part also. As well as everyone else. From molesting, to harassment, to abuse.

For all those whom are so-conscious and running your mouth on social media: what is your motive for ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING?! Don’t talk about it, be about it!

Will Aaron Rodgers be stronger than ever? Just wait, Packer fans. Revenge is coming.

Why is it always a problem for men to talk about Sexual Harassment? Even if you have men in your life that went through it since childhood? This is not a joke!

Is Brett Hundley learning well? What about Joe Callahan?

Tired of reading the same ol’ stuff? Why not read something different? Hello!

If many complain about other people’s blogs, journalism, radio, TV, Online Podcastings, and others, why not start their own stuff to inform of what they want to talk about?

One of these days, I want to learn Skeet Shooting and Archery. Who is a great teacher? Where? Must be in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Lot of folks might do the Black Friday thing. If you pack Walmart or Best Buy, why not the local small stores?

I gotta ask why did those in Wisconsin think that it’s a good idea to have a gun laws signed for toddlers or those under 10 to have guns in their hands for hunting? No!

Is Foxconn the real way for jobs in Wisconsin regarding black folks who CAN’T get to the jobs? Still asking that for a friend.

Twitter: I like you. Why is your app causing problems of logging in?!

And the final question before you start cooking: has the Black Friday feeling sunk in yet, or are you staying put?

Now you may resume continue cooking your Thanksgiving Meal.

As many already know, the 2016-17 Season of the Green Bay Packers had its turn. But didn’t win the NFC Championship. This season was started out as slow as usual, but then got hot in December. They also rebounded with winning the NFC North Championship, a surprise rebound of their running game, defense had a thin concern of banged up injuries, plus a new thing called “run the table”.

So with that, here is my blog letter to the 13 time world champs and 17 time division champions Green Bay Packers.

Oh, it’s been a while, but I do my best!

Dear Green Bay Packers,

It’s me Stephen. A black blogger by hobby and still one of the fans that still supports.

First, I want to say thank you for a season that can run the table. Now  I know that you had your vacation started after the NFC Championship loss to Atlanta. I should say the same Atlanta Falcons team that NOW knows what you felt after losing big period. It’s not a good feeling to lose we know, but as I look at the entire season, there were positives.

And yes I like the idea about Ty Montgomery was used as a running back most of the season, Davante Adams improved EVEN MORE THIS YEAR, and Jared Cook was used as a weapon in Aaron’s arsenal. Plus we know that it was expected that Jordy Nelson was making that improbable comeback this season, EVEN WITH BROKEN RIBS! Not too many can’t do that.

For the Defense: well…..the defense needs to be less exposed for next year. I know that many or some may not be back in the 2017-18 season, but for those whom are remaning can certainly improve to be more combative in the upcoming season to be.

I know that the NFL Draft is coming up and plus there will be picks that might linger in the weak spots in the future spots in the D. Might I make a suggestive idea? I want to hear this: “For the first pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select……………TJ Watt from the University of Wisconsin”. CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN?! Think about it. We know he’s JJ’s and Derek’s brother. And when TJ was playing with the Badgers, he was a beast as a linebacker. So for example, if Nick Perry gets traded, or Julius Peppers decides to retire, get TJ Watt just in case! Also the Cornerback/Strong Safety points MUST be stronger than this season. The opponents of other teams exposed the positions and that was part of the downfall. They need to make the safety points very improveable  to be not very exposed a lot. Micah Hyde and Morgan Burnett can’t do it by themselves. And neither Damarious Randall. But I’ll bet that Damarious will improve by next sesason standards to be a strong CB. Plus it could be a revived point for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

As well as the season, well let me say this: I had some predictions that Jordy Nelson will be a comeback. He did. I predicted that the Packers will take back the NFC North Title. They did. And had a decent record of the Season, in which it was hard, but they did. As for the Playoffs: Finally got the Giants off the back, and dealt with the Cowboys in a win in their house!

And as far as Atlanta: after being torched twice by a team with “buzzsaw potentials”, yes it does make you humble. But look, now they have to be really humbled because the New England Patriots made them look foolish in the Super Bowl with that comeback!

Finally, as I close: I want to give a special shout out to Sam Shields and James Starks. As many already know that they have been cut in the now offseason. They were both a boost for the Running Back and Cornerback positions. And helped the Pack in getting a Superbowl win in Dallas back in 2011. To those who like to hate the Packers: hey we hate you too! But in a respectable manner. Just remember who owns more NFL Championships in historical history! So yes of course that the Packers will take a vacation. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Packers will reload with new talent and revised talent to Minneapolis via SuperBowl 52.

Sincerely,

Stephen

Right now, the Green Bay Packers, (aka the team that everybody loves to hate because of them being 13 time Champs) made the playoffs.
