Posts Tagged ‘Wisconsin Republicans’

This is just for the current residents of Wisconsin. Just today, one of our State Republican Representatives, Janel Brandtjen had this idea that about cutting funding to the city of Milwaukee in order for her district of Menomonee Falls to be free from time. From the crime that is going on.

What is she talking about, you ask?

I was reading the Urban Milwaukee Webpage about this “idea” and from the looks of it, in my opinion: she is in denial. Plus check out the story below:

Last week homeowners in Washington County were held hostage in their homes by the actions of 5 young criminals from Milwaukee. All night long the Milwaukee Police, SWAT teams and law enforcement from Washington County combed the darkness for 5 youths with guns. Families were forced to unlock their gun cabinets and instruct their loved ones to shoot to kill.

The violence and the crime that has plagued Milwaukee for decades has now begun to spill over into Milwaukee’s suburbs. I lay the responsibility for this growing and out of control problem at the door of the Mayor’s office. Mayor Barrett may not care about the safety of his family but I certainly do care about mine.

Mayor Barrett, the people of southeast Wisconsin will not sit by and watch your administration destroy the entire region with failed liberal policies and a 10 second “Tommy Tough Talk” sound bite. If you do not fill the hundreds of vacant police officer positions, apprehend and arrest car thieves, demand prison for repeat criminals and start standing up to the judges who let repeat offenders off easy you will be in my opinion “assisting and enabling” the very criminals who are responsible for the record number of shootings, car jacking’s and murders.

I will be openly advocating for funding cuts to Milwaukee unless steps are taken to dramatically cut crime in Milwaukee. I will no longer sit by while you destroy Milwaukee and its flourishing suburbs. I cannot justify financing your failed policies in Milwaukee until you take public safety seriously.

I got to say this and I’m going to be unapologetic: WHITE WOMAN PLEASE!

Seriously, State Republican Representative  Janel Brandtjen?! You obviously think that the dollars that you “somewhat support” would be cut off from Menomonee Falls to Milwaukee due to Milwaukee’s problems with the young black folks that hid away in YOUR COUNTY from the police? And you believe that the crime from Milwaukee is harming Menomonee Falls! You must be, and I must say, “STUCK ON STUPID!”

How many times have I heard and read about in the Milwaukee Suburbs about drug crimes and also many types of assault that occurred in YOUR AREA?

How many times, have I heard and read about racism in YOUR AREA that kept popping up?!

How many times have I heard about the concerns of ALCOHOL or Drinking and Driving that has occurred not only in the suburbs, but also IN YOUR AREA?!

And you honestly think that cutting funding from Milwaukee will solve this problem and just go away without any harm or concern. Like it’s nothing. REALLY?!

Don’t worry I’ll wait!

You said in your “commentary of denial” that Mayor Barrett needs to do something about this crime thing that is not only harming Milwaukee but also the suburbs. Well let me say this as a Milwaukee RESIDENT: We all know that Mayor Barrett is handling his “Mayor Business” here in Milwaukee. We know this. We know what is going on a day by day basis. Good or bad. By the way, excuse my French: What the hell have you done? What the hell have you done to fix or curb the problems with employment that disrepects the VALOR of African-American Applicants that want to work IN YOUR CITY? Out of Milwaukee? I demand the answer to that instead of you making this demand of you pulling dollars from Milwaukee. If the dollars you demand to be pulled from Milwaukee and if concerns the safety part of it, that would be trouble. Oh, I don’t agree with Gov. Numb Nuts, but even he feels that pulling dollars from Milwaukee due to crime is a bad idea. WOW Scott Walker, the Marquette University Dropout made one little sense that this idea is bad. Now if Scott Walker would have got his brain straight about 5 years ago about the High Speed Rail, we would be in business NOW getting from Milwaukee to Madison faster than clunking cars. Open for business, probably?

State Representative Janel Brandtjen: If you really want to share your “fighting crime” techniques so bad, then go get your crew. Mayor Barrett will get the Milwaukee crew. Either meet in Milwaukee or Menomonee Falls, or even at the State Capitol. Let’s be like “Real Wisconsin folks” and bring all of our ideas to the table to bring in stopping the violence in the Southeastern Part of Wisconsin. Not only that, don’t be surprised if any of the Black families from either side will show up!

Hey State Rep: your move if you want it. Put down that conservative mantra like a bad rash of hate, and meet up. And that goes for ANY rep that has a dislike for Milwaukee. Are we Wisconsinites that carry the motto Forward also?

Put the money where the mouth is.

Can I just vent a little? Sheriff David Clarke’s freaking head needs examination!

Yeah I said it!

I hate to say it Milwaukee County, but what were we thinking in which this dude got in again. Now I know the sympathizers might come and say, “oh at least he’s telling the truth…..” Don’t know what I’m talking about? Look at this video footage:

You see this BS? Seriously?!!

You talk about Sub-human creeps?

In the video, he also said that about police brutality: ‘There is no police brutality in America’. He also said that the President is playing the race game, in his regarding the subject of #BlackLivesMatter. Oh, he also claimed like after January 2017, when he claims that the “nightmare” will disappear.

I call the B.S. Card on this one!

Sheriff David Clarke, the second black sheriff in Milwaukee County is nothing more than a misguided dude. I’m sorry he is. I thought he was “voteable”, but I was wrong. I feel that those whom voted for him the most probably got more votes in the outline suburbs surrounding Milwaukee than in the Metro Area of Milwaukee! And those of us in the Black Community IN Milwaukee probably got the worst mistake by accepting that in voting for him by being a black man in office. Is that the reason? I’ll never forget the acceptance speech after he won. And I’ll never forget what the late Annette “Polly” Williams said that she voted for Clarke because he’s a black man, whom also supported the Sheriff’s vote to stay in office. She said that on her own radio segment in Milwaukee awhile back. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Hey man, she was a black woman voting for a black man, and served her district well in her tenure”. I get that. That was her viewpoint. But  I also realized that others like Polly probably felt the same way in Milwaukee’s Black Community. With all due respect to her and her legacy, and have nothing against that. But right now, I hope that folks are beginning to wake up with the truth stating that the Second Black Sheriff in Milwaukee County History is not really out for black folks!

And also, why wouldn’t Sheriff Clarke wouldn’t go on black talk shows like Roland Martin’s to talk about #BlackLivesMatter? Just like all the Bill O’Reily fanatics, the Rush Limbaughs, Ann Coulters, Glenn Becks, and others of that so-called right wing media mess of The Blaze and Fox News, that talk a lot of their game being anti-black this and that, to not having a sit down convo with someone like Roland who pulls no punches in talking about the real deal about the purpose or goal of saying and displaying #BlackLivesMatter. But they won’t! They are scared to death of black media folks who want to challenge them on their commentary! And lately, Sheriff Clarke said this tweet about the movement joining up with ISIS:

image

Really, Sheriff Clarke? The Black Lives Matter movement will join up with ISIS?!!! How stupid and pathetic of this high ranking COUNTY OFFICIAL thinking that this would happen?!!!! Yo, if anyone voted up for him last year, or endorsed him in your Milwaukee radio spots last year, you should have thought twice! Polly Williams has turned over in her grave like crazy right now. SMH! I have to ask this Milwaukee County: Is electing Sheriff David Clarke (yet again) plus what he said here, a real conclusion that really will get Milwaukee’s long shot of jobs?  I’ll say it: No. Not a chance. This is an embarrassment!

In regards to President Obama’s stance on the Black Lives Matter movement: it got a boost. Last week as we all know, The President did indeed nodded that there are issues that the African-American community faces each day that goes unnoticed. In the interview, he said this from the article of the Washington Post:

Sometimes, like any of these loose organizations, some people pop off and say dumb things but … on the other hand though, it started being lifted up as ‘these folks are opposed to police, they’re opposed to cops and all lives matter,’ so the notion was that somehow saying black lives matter was reverse racism or suggesting that other people’s lives don’t matter or police officers lives don’t matter,” Obama said. “And whenever we get bogged down in that kind of discussion, we know where that goes, that’s just down the old trap.”

Obama went on to suggest that organizers of Black Lives Matter — which he declared a “social media movement” — do value all lives and do support good law enforcement. But he added, repeating a line he has used often when discussing issues of race and policing, that concerns about policing and profiling in minority communities are real and valid.

“I think that the reason that the organizers used the phrase Black Lives Matter was not because they were suggesting that no one else’s lives matter … rather what they were suggesting was there is a specific problem that is happening in the African American community that’s not happening in other communities,” Obama said. “And that is a legitimate issue that we’ve got to address.

And guess what, ladies and gentlemen: we are still addressing the legitimate issues! It doesn’t matter what year or era it is. Even if it’s Police Brutality! I’ve seen scenes of police videos in Milwaukee of the Police Department punching a black woman in the back of a squad car. Even a California Highway Patrolman punching a black woman on the ground in broad daylight! Remember in Milwaukee in 2004 when Frank Jude Jr was beaten up by the police way back? That happened. Tell me I’m wrong! Beatings. Brutalities. And Sheriff David Clarke thinks it’s been handled in the 60’s and it’s gone? Obviously, he had forgot about Rodney King!

It is no wonder that the head of the County Sheriff himself needed to be examined. And to those that voted him into office yet again, your heads need to be examined! It’s coming like a evil Halloween smile on a Jack-O-Lantern.

WAKE UP!

Oh, and Happy Halloween by the way.

Oh let me get this Three Way Dance started. And it’s a Three Way I am willing to write.

First Dance: Sandra Bland.

We all know what is up with the case in which it’s getting various attention. Personally, this is a strange case. But also we, the American public in all, would like to know about the status of why Sandra Bland, this 28 year old black woman who was trying to start a new life in Texas was later dead in a jail cell. Much after she was placed under arrest after a traffic stop. I’m hearing mixed messages about her that she could have remained calm, or put out a cigarette when the cops pulled her over.

Speaking of her arrest: the entire Dashcam Video shows all the audio in which the arrest was made. But unlike you hear and seen on TV or your local talk radio, this video is uncensored and it’s about 50 minutes long. For those who maybe offended by colorful language or if you’re under 18, DO NOT VIEW THIS FOOTAGE!

Once again, this is the FULL version of the footage that the Texas Cops pulled over Sandra Bland and the thing that gets me that part, Sandra’s head was slammed to the ground after handcuffed. Seriously! With a Epilepsy disorder? Now I know that cop that gave the order to get out of the car at least 14 times. We know this. And yes Sandra was warned about the same violation over and over again. But it got real serious after again her head was slammed to the ground. Even though that it wasn’t shown, but it was revealed there might been some force there to comply. Or should I say, “unlawful force”. Yeah you heard me right! UNLAWFUL FORCE. I’ve seen it, and read about it. Of course, they gonna say that she was resisting or kicking and whatever. And yes, I know you really can’t put your hands or feet on a officer. When that happens, you go to jail. You get arrested. We know. That is the rule of law. But the fact of the matter is, when those get pulled over by the police and to see what is about to happen, and they break their protocol of their duties of doing wrong, you know full well that they should have their jobs revoked!

Second take: Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson needs to shut his mouth about inner city kids!

For all those that got insulted by him via his “idiot inner city kids” commentary, he needs to visit a inner city family and spend the night and do chores! Yeah that’s right. RoJo needs to go to a inner city household. This really bugs me, especially if you’re black and live in a democratic-related area of the city. It really resonates the thought of what many or some of the Republican related stuff is floating around negatively. This is the same RoJo that many in Wisconsin thought was the better candidate over then (and maybe again) Senator Russ Feingold in 2010 all because of his stance of the Patriot Act. Russ Feingold warned us and did we listen? NO! But in this stance, he took on inner city kids. CHILDREN! WHY?! And of course he apologized. For those who are living in the inner city right now. And if you have kids whom are being raised in the inner city right now, I have a message for you: you’re not idiots! I’ve read about those who made it out and done wonderful things in this world. I’ve seen it also. Many of them have gone on to play ball in the NBA or the NFL, or to be business owners, or CEO’s, or many high ranking positions in the country. And yes, there are those who made it, and never come back. For Ron Johnson, he’s going to regret this remark because the next time he’s in a hospital or being given soup for his illness, he might be thanking someone who was raised in a “inner city” or who was a “inner city kid” that was told to be an idiot because of him. Like the line from Madea’s Family Reunion, she said “It ain’t what they call you, it what you answer to.” And also this line: “the best revenge you can get on a person who tells you something like that, is to prove them wrong.” Prove them wrong! Prove Ron Johnson Wrong! And I think the voters whom are looking at this, will in fact show up and vote RoJo out! Don’t be surprised if that happens in 2016!

And the third dance: the so-called Milwaukee Lion.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this story is so stupid. I’m sorry to say this. Is Milwaukee hallucinating? Are there are those in Milwaukee really this drunk? I know many around the country are probably thinking that Milwaukee can’t actually be this stupid!  A Lion loose in the streets? Yes, America there are Lions in Milwaukee. The Milwaukee County Zoo has them. But in the recent reports, there are those it’s been sighted here and there, sort of speak. But however it’s getting way to weird. And for you history buffs, it’s been along time that “So-called Lions” in Milwaukee roamed the streets. Go back to 1961. And like today in 2015, there are those who think they see large big cats. Which turned out to be large big dogs that look like Lions, but it’s no freaking Lion!

I had a flashback to a old 1980’s TV show. Remember the show, Amen? That stared the late Sherman Helmsley? Yes, he was on that show sometime after The Jeffersons got cancelled. There was an episode that dealt with a camping trips, and a fear of a Lion. The character who played Chris, who was very young on the show, kept crying and worried about trapping the animal. He cried on the way home, and Deacon Frye (Sherman’s Character) had to whatever it takes to convince young Chris that the Lion was fine. It wasn’t harmed. So, they went back to same spot where the trap was set, and no Lion. Towards the end of the show, while it seemed to be worrisome for Deacon Frye, Chris had a smile on his face, in which it all a trick to fool the Deacon.

When I thought about that episode, from the mid-1980’s on a throwback network per say, that reminded me of this example right now. When the video that some guy put on Facebook to think that it was in Estabrook Park on the Eastside that had a lion walking around, it which it wasn’t the setting, that brought me back to a subject like this. And it was a trick! With all the problems that Milwaukee continues to harbors everyday from shootings to segregation acts.

So, I still think this whole Lion crap is just that: Crap! And a waste of tax payers dime and resources. Plus no one who is on the list of Concealed Carry didn’t shoot the blasted thing. Oh, where are the brave Milwaukeeans now? Hopefully if this is a real fake story, all those posers need to pony up their tax money in fines and fees to build that new Bucks arena. Or if there is a real lion and it’s a real story, I’ll exercise for 6 months. (really I will do this!)

But right now, it’s a joke. I’m not convinced for it to be proven!

In a recent 21-10 decision, the Wisconsin State Senate has passed a funding bill that will effect the ongoing process to build a new arena in Downtown Milwaukee. Yes, I’m referring to the new Bucks playhouse. Not just for the team, but also for the future concerts, events and maybe a future WWE Pay-Per-View. The Reaction of the news were mixed. Some should say that the owners of the team should have paid for the full tab instead of the tax payers. WAIT A MINUTE: remember how Miller Park got started? Same thing. Taxpayers. Probably the same taxpayers who first complained and partially will like the investment. I think the same thing will happen here.

Now there was a talk of Seattle or Las Vegas in taking the team, (in which NBA Commissoner Adam Silver dismissed it)if Milwaukee had done the deal to fail. BUT this first hurdle of the State, probably sent a signal to those cities that Milwaukee actually got something done. BUT this is a first hurdle. Now if the second, third or a fourth deal is done offically, the start of the construction could start in the fall, between October and November.

So yes, Bucks fans. The deer is staying thus far.

It has been so long since I’ve written a double take. For this notion I’m bringing it back to the game.

First Take: Serena Williams.

I’m going to say that yes it’s been awhile since anyone black in tennis has won something big. And that someone is Compton’s own, Serena Williams winning the tennis competition in Wimbledon. She has become the latest in the list to be the winner in the all around Tennis competition since Steffi Graf in the 1980’s. Yes, for those who don’t know I heard of Steffi Graf thank you. And through all her success, and along with Venus, she has elevated the game of tennis to a whole new level of sports competition.

But after all the wins in all, there has to be a group of haters always had to body shame her physique. First of all, what is the haps about this “Body Shaming”? Really? I’ll bet the right wing folks had to go in on her about her physique to think she took steroids in all. Um….no! I think it’s all about the hate that a black woman winning the sport of TENNIS in a white dominated competition to achieve success. Personally, this has NOTHING to do with her body appearance. I’ll admit, Serena looks good for who she is. And is a fierce competitor. But this shaming thing is just that: hate. Are these the same folks who were all out about the transformation of Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner? Yeah, where are those folks at?! But I know what you’re saying, don’t compare the two. They are not the same. You darn right they are not the same! Hate on one person, liking the other! Does that sound a thing called perpetrators? You know what, this whole body shaming thing is like, you don’t like her or his body because it’s not like them. Folks have been body shaming folks since forever. Folks used to bother me back in my middle school days all because I had a big nose. That used to make me upset. Almost like bullying. I can’t help the fact that yes I have a slightly larger nose, simply because it’s part of my genetics. What your mama and daddy gave you, there was nothing you can do about it!  You can’t help it! It’s in you for life.

This whole bullying, body shaming is all nothing but feeling insecure about that person don’t have it all. It sort of like back then when the “jocks” or “ballers” or “player” had all the cute sides, while the nerds and those felt left out had to scratch and claw just to be like them! And they got picked by these insecure jack***es who were just ignorant!

You got folks today doing this mess? No surprise.

One of these days, when we all get old, gray, can’t go to the bathroom much, having canes to walk, in the nursing homes having stuff delivered to us instead of us doing the opposite, all of that will disappear! Your good looks will not save you! But your faith will. Some folks think that, man this black blogger is crazy. In the words of Bruno Mars, “Don’t believe me just watch!” And yes you could or do exercises to keep your body toned up. The mindset of these folks who do the “body shaming” are probably the same folks who are your friends from Social Media, your workers, your bosses, your teachers, that banker that gives you the side eye, and I’ll say those you probably looked up to in church, or some made up activist that somewhat knows everything, but they really don’t. Or some news guy or woman that had to open their mouths and being hateful all because they worked hard for achieving a feat. Where there are those who are just sitting around mad at the world. My advice, get up off your butt and actually do something to benefit your life. Can I sample this from last time: “Get your life!”

Now the second take: Scott Walker is running for President.

Oh, I’m sure everybody in America had seen the footage about Wisconsin. No it’s not the Milwaukee Bucks and the new Arena deal. It’s about the still, not very likeable, right winged republican, Koch brother hand picked player, high speed rail hating, no casino deal refusing, education hating Scott Walker!

Yes. I’m going there.

I said it many times I don’t like nor favor Scott Walker. I haven’t favored him since he was Milwaukee County Executive. Never!

And yesterday in the Red County of Waukesha, he made his decree of running for President of the United States. First: let’s review why Scott Walker is bad for business. Hush right wingers!

image

Oh wait there’s more. Courtesy of the Wisconsin College Democrats:

And this one:

This is only a few, but there are others out there that say the exact same thing.

Most recently, a black democrat was recently turned away from the event. And apparently, in a unorthodox manner. One of my Wisconsin State Reps, and Alum of my old high school, Mandela Barnes attempted to attend Walker’s announcement, but however, he commented this on his Facebook Page:

So I go to the Scott Walker rally, and as soon as I get in the door, a volunteer zeroes in on me to ask if I was alone and if I would like to stand on-stage. Now this could have been my moment for comedic/ironic gold, but I kindly declined. Then a few minutes later, I was pointed out by a staff person who recognized who I was and asked me to leave. I went from the top to the bottom before I even knew it. I was like a sore thumb and it brought about two distinctly different interactions, lol.

Wait?…….WHAT?!

Matter of fact why I’m saying wait what? So the Republican Volunteers of Scott Walker’s rally scoped out Mandela thinking he would be on stage with the supporters, in which he kindly opt out. But then, one of the Staff individuals, asked him to leave?  – That last part baffles me. Why would anyone from Walker’s rally turn away a Wisconsin State Rep? SERIOUSLY?! Some say it’s the recall thing, or maybe because he’s black. I looked at some of the footage, and the majority of the crowd at the Waukesha Expo Center, are majority white folks. How many blacks? Probably a few. Yes there are black republicans in Wisconsin. But probably a few. Why is that many asked? Think about it!

NBC Black (a subdivision for NBC) highlighted three questions that many African-Americans might be asking Scott Walker. Note to them, you might want to rethink that. This dude of a Governor has dismantled things that most the public and poor relied on every single time. From his County Executive Days, there were access to areas of senior centers, parks and even the MCTS that Walker cut that many need to get to the jobs, etc. Majority of that, were black folks. Second, remember when indicated that Talgo moved out of Milwaukee after Walker got elected, and the Spanish Train Maker wanted to commit to build trains and house their facility in the Inner City near 27th and Townsend! That was supposed to be shovel ready. But the majority of the voters, fans and even Walker himself all said no. It’s a boondoggle. It will never work they said. That’s a load of bull. It was really a call sign to say, “we are revoking opportunity for black workers in the area.” Oh yes, I’m going there! That would have linked this state along with others in a Midwest Connecting hub for jobs, tourism, etc. WASTED WITH POLITICAL MESS! He also had revoked and refused to accept an offer from the Hard Rock Casino groups that would have turned the old Dairyland Greyhound Track around. But that was gone not to be forgotten. And now most recently there has been a rule about taking away weekends. As in you work on Saturdays and Sundays with no rest in all. NO REALLY!

Is this the kind of guy YOU want to support for President? Here me out Americans, no matter what Scott Walker is selling, DO NOT EVEN TRYING TO BUY! I am saying this as a warning. Now some might look at him as this cool guy to love, but America, you have been warned!

Don’t sleep!

Yes. I know. It’s the day after the Midterm Elections and yes majority of the Red Squad from hades got not only the House and the Senate, but it’s all about one thing: getting at Obama. All of this was just a ploy of them to get back at all those executive decisions that the President made in all. And the Republicans themselves had to say all that jazz to say no to the nation’s first black president from the very start. And partially, those in the Democratic Party who ran in the midterms, and went away from Obama for support, you are NOT real Democrats! That’s what you get. Oh, Republicans don’t make a fan of yours! And to those that didn’t vote, oh I got some words for you!

Dear Democrats, and those who didn’t vote:

It’s me Stephen, a black blogger from Milwaukee. You know the city.

First for the Democrats: are you happy now? Are you really happy now? You shouldn’t be. After that drumming from the elephants that most are despised got you again in a Election Midterm! What is up with you?!!! I’m a Democratic fan in all, but this loss is just another example of you losing in elections like this. But also I have to ask this question: Why did some of you or many of you had to run in the midterms and also ran away from the support of the President of the United States? Some of you probably admit that not liking Obama is one thing, but running away from his support in favoring some of you who ran like cowards per say, got you out of a job to those that most in America don’t like. The Republican Party. I had to be like, why would the blue squad who all for the ACA, the jobs, additional Civil Rights, and many others that Obama proposed and got done so far, many of you had to run scared! And you call yourselves “DEMOCRATS?” Really?!!! Mary Burke didnt run away, but yes she lost. More on that later. Just today, I got a mailing from the Obama’s group, Organizing for Action. And in the envelope, it was a bumper sticker that read this:

Change Only Happens When You Organize

I looked at that today, and I had to wonder if any Democrat that lost ever had to read that message? Or in this case to remind those the only way you aren’t going to get anything done if you don’t organize. For those Democrats that lost big and even in Obama’s Illinois State, ask yourself that question in the mirror, did you really made that decision of running and not getting the POTUS Support? Really?! Now let me comment of the voting factor. If you voted up yesterday, or ahead of time like I did, you can have the hand patted on the back. But for those who didn’t feel that voting wasn’t all that important or it’s just a waste of time out of you going to the club getting your boogie on, or your hair done, or worrying about playing your video games or still being “socially active” on Social Media and not doing a darn thing of getting your communities better in all, you are at fault! I mean I could blame the blue squad and Wisconsin Democratic Leader Mike Tate for not stepping up in all, but for the voters (or those so-called non voters) that refuse to cast a ballot, don’t you realized that there were those who fought and died for your right to vote?

Take a look at Wisconsin. Yes. Scott Walker beat a woman. Mary Burke got beat by a guy who still has a proud moment of a High School Diploma, dropping out of Marquette University, whom probably wasn’t that likable at Marquette anyway. She also got beat by a guy who ran an campaign of getting 250,000 jobs but only came up with 133,000 plus jobs netted in the state. She also got beat by a guy who thought having a rail system was a boondoggle between Milwaukee and Madison, and also she got beat by a guy who would like to privatize schools, take money away from the large cities to the small towns and above all else, the next time if those want to go on unemployment or food stamps, make sure you got your urine samples ready! Make sure your benefits change is straight under this guy. That swift action of slash and burn 2.0 is coming. Plus also Mary Burke got beat by a guy that may have an idea in the next two years to get the chair the White House. If that were to happen: GOD HELP WISCONSIN! Why Wisconsin? Ask those in the 50% that think that Walker is a good guy in which many trust. To be honest, I don’t trust Walker since his days in Milwaukee as a County Executive cutting bus routes, raising bus fares, and cutting out the poor folks stuff that don’t have access to health, food banks or even getting to work.

Thank you non-voters for wasting your excuses of keeping Walker for the next four years. Most of us tried to warn you! But, nah, you had to be one of the 2/3 per say in the state or county that didn’t vote. This what happens. Now many of you are already complaining about all these law changes and these extreme demands out of Walker and also those who feel that the Republicans are holding safe zones by which they stand for. They’re not! And for those who are Independents that sided with Walker in all, no disrespect but what was you thinking? Now there are many of us who are disappointed in all the canvassing, campaigns, GOTV, and many others  including voting of the Democratic side that just failed. But for the next two years, I think the momentum and the engagement of this loss, should rebuild the next players to be, to make the Democratic Party (and yes this includes the Wisconsin Democratic Party) a valuable player in the game of Midterms, Governing, and yes events. But in between that, they need to change the culture! Do you get me Democrats? It’s time for you in the blue squad and the blue squad to be, you all need to change the culture for strong players. Reference the quote above.

Yes, for us in Wisconsin who felt disappointed that Mary Burke got beat, we know. But I think that partially the main source of her loss was the plagiarism thing for her jobs plan. That one thing got the Walker folks talking that jazz for their win. Just saying. All of that came close to the Election Day. Yes, Mary Burke (unlike Walker) has a college degree, educated and also her family made the Trek Bikes well known. Speaking of that, not to ask in all, why aren’t any Trek Bike factories or shops in the metro Milwaukee area? Um….Hello?! Just asking. And yes, this was the same Mary Burke who tapped into the black vote in Milwaukee. Plus appearing on WNOV more times than any of the Republican reps period. Oh, just to ask, how many times Scott Walker got on the black radio in Milwaukee during his tour of trying to get re-elected? Oh I forgot, ZERO! Now there might have been some black republican “surrogates” of the Wisconsin Republican Party might have chimed in on black radio or the black newspapers, but none of the appearance of Walker himself.

For all you Walker folks, yeah your boy got his third win. But if I were a real Walker supporter, in which I am not, and never will, I would hold him accountable of everything he does. No matter if it’s showing off his High School Diploma or getting those new bills done with Voter ID. Yes Walker folks, Scott is on watch. And even the detractors are closely looking of him and any other Republican known in this era.

Sincerely,

Stephen

P.S. – Next blog will focus on the mentality of non-voters plus racism. I kid you not. I will go deep.

Another Episode of the Three Way Dance. Where I take three different dance cards of some sorts of different areas of enjoyment or seriousness. For this, it’s all about the Ebola Virus, Raven-Symone’s comment of being colorless and a local comment of Wisconsin’s Governor Race between Scott Walker and Mary Burke. It’s time to go in!

First Take: I want to talk about this whole thing of Ebola. We’ve been watching the news and reading about it online about this deadly virus that killing many in Africa. For those who are effected by the virus either in Africa or America, prayers are sent. Now after reading more about the disease or virus that is a continued plague, I have to ask this, mainly in America of those who are “freaking out”, since Ebola is freaking us out like crazy to get to the doctors, why are we not freaking out when some of us we know gets Cancer of any kind, HIV, STD, AIDS, and I dare say Diabetes?! Where is the freaking out of that notion? And where is the freaking out of the notion of Flu Shots?!!  Now in the past in regarding flu shots, especially around the Fall Season, we’ve been told to “get a flu shot”. HERE IS MY QUESTION: And I’m speculating here and it’s not an opinionated piece. And if you’re a real doctor or nurse in the medical game I would like this to be answered in your knowledge: In regarding flu shots themselves, is it mandatory to get one, or is it optional? Let’s look at the word “mandatory” in meaning that it must be done, usually by law. I haven’t read any laws or restrictions that guarantees of getting a flu shot. Never read one. Again, if you are in the medical game, point me in a direction or a site, or a reference that backs this up. We know it’s mandatory to get checked every year, and it’s mandatory to get our teeth checked every six months! But where is the mandatory written for flu shots?! As far as optional is concerned, it’s basically by choice. Either you get it or you don’t. There are some folks that I know that don’t get flu shots and they stay away from folks who have deadly flus that pop up like a pimple on prom night. Just want to know. Plain and simple.

As far as Ebola again, look Americans. We know it’s here. And yes we had doctors that went to Africa to help fight the cure and came back affected with the virus. And we read about the NBC Cameraman that died in lieu of the virus took place. And also there is an individual that is clinging on to life right now in Texas, that is being watched constantly due to the virus. Whom is now just recently died.  Mainly it’s coming from the air, and we need to be prepared for the next outcome. So don’t’ act like it’s a modern day of the red plague!

Second Take: Raven-Symone.

I know the anti-Negropeans folks are out in full force. Oh, you didn’t know? I know that many in the African-American Community aren’t taking Raven-Symone seriously about her comment on Oprah’s Where are they now? show.

That was the clip was setting off the firestorm. Matter of fact, I’ve heard some black folks say this most of the time, in terms of rejecting their black side and try to get to that Human side per say. But how in the living you know what are you going to get to that human side without acknowledging your side  of being black? I kind of calling that shaming. Really I do. I’m going there. I heard these song lyrics on stat like: “Black is beautiful” and “Say it Loud, I’m black and I’m proud!” I know I’m not the only one heard those lyrics. In a church sermon one day, I heard my pastor talking about those who are acting as “house negros” that do alot more sucking up than those who don’t. Even some black Christians too. Believe me I know. Me, as a black man, African-American call it what you want, I do interact with different folks, but I don’t EVER FORGET what got me to the dance in the first place! What that means is I don’t hide, nor turn down my black side. Yes, we all are supposed to be on that “Human Race thing”, but don’t forget what got you in the human race in the first place of your origin of ethnicity. I’m just saying. For Raven, yeah she may have had her say, and she’s a bright young woman, who once lighten the room as Olivia on the Cosby Show, and “That’s So Raven”. I get it. But I don’t think she realized that there are those whom are young fans of her’s of African Decent, have probably asked the question based on her commentary. So, is it was feeling ashamed or just non acknowledgement?

And plus why do at times that black folks (as least some) don’t want to acknowledge to be black or had to cringe when to talk about the ethnicity when they were born with? Zoe Salanda commented this years ago about her cringing when talking about her ethnicity. WHAT?!!!! This is the same actress who wants to play Nina Simone in a movie, and previously played Columbiana, a younger Lt. Uhura, and many other roles. But this “in cringing being black” must be real silly! I think that it’s time that yes to explore the humanity side, BUT NEVER EVER FORGET: what got you in the humanity side first: Black folks who feel this way, you gonna learn today! This goes for my Gen-X folks, the Gen Y’s and Millennial folks: you’re in this too! No hiding. No cringing! Stop being ashamed!

Third Take: A Bump in the Wisconsin’s preliminary polls for Governor. Plus also a mixed bag.

Well, it seems that the Mary Burke – Scott Walker race is setting up. Preliminary wise. According to the preliminary polls previously, (via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) Walker lead Burke in a 49% – 46% lead among likely voters. For the preliminary polls in August during we were all summered out, Walker lead Burke 47% – 41% among registered voters, while at the same time, Burke herself taken the lead with a 48% – 46% among likely voters at the time.

After the so-called “plagerismgate” of Mary Burke’s Jobs Plan, the Walker folks took a 5% addition over the Burke camp. Really?! All because of the sampling of Job ideas from other Democrats?

Now we’ve all seen the first debate between Walker and Burke. And by the way, the second debate will be in Milwaukee. The very same Milwaukee that Scott Walker didn’t mention in his State of the State Speech. The same Milwaukee that Walker doesn’t particularly like that much. Yeah I said it! During the debate, Walker got stumped. Really he got stumped by a woman! In that first debate, Walker dodged all bullets pertaining to the now blocked-Voter ID option for November 4th, and mostly as we all know: the amount of jobs he wanted of 250,000. If you are a Walker fan, I’ve told you once, and I’ve told you again, he will not get that far and according to the latest numbers: it’s about 130,000 jobs already pumped into the state. And Walker is near the end of  his first term. So where’s the 250,000 jobs again?! NO WHERE! And plus, did I mention that Talgo is gone from the state? And the results of that, you guessed it.

Now we also know that Mary Burke won the first debate. That’s good. BUT Mary must get at Walker for a round 2. Don’t just settle for Round 1 and that’s it. Plus that debate got Mary’s 5 points back to get even with Walker.

Haven’t done this in a while, but I think it’s time for me to get back to do these “I told you so” things about the Badger State Politics per say.

Plagiarism in Politics, broken campaign promises. Oh and these “Militia-like threats” in Poll Watching.

More recently in the current Wisconsin Politics, there was an act of plagiarism that took place between Mary Burke, and the current Governor Scott Walker. The Walker folks recently spotted a flaw in the Burke campaign in relation to the jobs idea to get the state further up. They claimed on their part that Mary Burke stole ideas from other democrats in order to get her jobs plan idea to show. Mainly also since then, the person, Eric Schnurer whom Mary picked as her Campaign Consultant, was fired from his post in this recent story. And yes the Walker folks went all ham on Burke for this. Even sometime after that, Scott Walker himself commented his “I say I believe” speech that Mary Burke can’t be trusted.

Oh, wait a minute!

What most folks realized in the four years that Walker has been in office, he can’t be trusted either! Oh, let me count the ways why:

1) The ongoing phrase of putting 250,000 private sector jobs by his first term. – I told you Walker folks then and I’m tell you now. That was not going to happen. I told you.

2) Slashing folks off of BadgerCare, especially those who are really needy for some sort of healthcare. And still being anti-Obamacare.

3) Act 10 and Collective Bargaining.

4) Education money was slashed.

5) Voter ID – don’t get me started on that.

And the most obvious: Refusing to accept over $800 million dollars to construct a High Speed Rail route which would have linked Milwaukee and Madison. And the jobs were almost in ink, but was thrown away by Walker, his administration, and also his so-called fans who thought it was a boondoggle that would not work. Really? And also that project, could have been a lifesaver for not only jobs, but also for getting to those hard to reach areas in getting to the jobs. I said this alot and I’m still saying it: Not everyone in Wisconsin doesn’t have a Driver’s License nor a vehicle!

Now that was just a sample that Walker himself can’t be trusted. Heck, I didn’t trust him when he was County Executive of Milwaukee County. Cutting bus routes, raising bus fares. And he came in after the late Tom Ament was existed due to the Pensions Scandal.

This political bull of the stories that rocked Plagiarism like a bad habit, I think and will assume that the Walker folks need to watch what they say because according to the Journal Sentinel, Walker kind of “stole some ideas” per say from other Republicans that got him competing. Oh, what are they you asked? Let’s see:

The “Wisconsin Comeback,” a phrase frequently used by Walker in his re-election campaign manager, comes from the “American comeback” campaign of the Republican Governors Association. The phrase is used by a few other GOP governors such as Sam Brownback,” who has talked in his re-election campaign about the “Kansas comeback.”

And here’s another:

In his successful 2010 race for governor, Walker used a theme of brown bag lunches to emphasize his frugality. That reprised a campaign theme of former U.S. Sen. George Voinovich, an Ohio Republican.

So what does that tell?

If done legally, sampling the words or phrases from other politicians, isn’t bad as long as it’s been done legally with reference. Back in school when we written papers or documents and used words quoted from famous writers of people, the teachers always told us to give the authors credit. Give them credit for sources. I mean that goes for anything. When I cite articles for my blog stories, I give the author or the publisher credit because that is the rule of law regardless.

How is this plagiarism talk is supposed to get people the jobs, health-care, education, infrastructure to better transportation, safety, and many other needy factors that mostly concerns the public? And those who are anti-Mary Burke with this plagiarism talk, is that the ONLY reason why you think Walker will win?

And just recently: there has been groups forming in Wisconsin. To clarify, this is what the “groups” have posted on Twitter:

SERIOUSLY?!!!!!

Oh so these dumb idiots want to show up with guns and to make a threat to those in the African-American/Democratic Areas to vote on November 4th? These fools are so dumb! Having those guns, eh? Is that going to solve the problem? Really? Oh, now you want to get guns? Now you want to get those scared? You want to play this game?!!!!

GET THE BLANK OUT OF HERE!

I want to address the Wisconsin Black folks here. If you saw this post on Twitter, or any other platform, these fools are just looking for a fight. That’s all they are. These fools (like many others) don’t want you vote. Don’t want you to show up with your registration, your ID’s or any other right to cast your ballot in which our ancestors fought and died for in order to express and choose our vote respectfully. If you go to the polls, GO! When you go to the polls – GO! Don’t let these so-called militias scare you out of your right to validate your picks to vote!

As far as these so-called militias: they are asking for trouble! That’s all they are. And plus, if the real Governor himself Scott Walker were a real man, or a real citizen of leadership in his “I mean what I say” speeches, then he should condemn these groups and tell them to stand down. PERIOD! All you Republicans fans in Wisconsin, you Tea baggers Badgers who like guns in all: do you condone this? Coming from those who say “I got a lot of black friends” in all. Your black friends might be in danger in the Democratic areas of the Milwaukee area that you are friends with! Also: where is Sheriff David Clarke in this? Uh-huh Where’s the Sheriff in this? Is he and the County Sheriff Department is aware of this?! They should. We know the MPD might be in effect, and don’t be surprised if AG Eric Holder would be in effect also.

This stunt that these militias are asking for will backfire. Everybody all over town will have their names, address, credit history, criminal records, Social Media Pages, and pics to be on the lookout. Even if you are fans of black Wisconsin media. We got the names!

So for the 25th time: I told you so!

Just today, the train maker Talgo made a decree to the City of Milwaukee that it is pulling out of the area where the High Speed Trains were made. Not only that, there are two trains that are in the shed at the site, that will be likely used in another state like Michigan for a future route. This however is a big blow and a likely lasting blow to the city and also the state. Plus also, this is a direct result of wrong doing making decision by Scott Walker, the Republicans and it’s supporters. For that I write this blog letter.

Dear Talgo of America:

It’s me, Stephen. I am a black blogger from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

First, on behalf of every Wisconsinite that has backed you in this support of trying to get this deal done with High Speed Rail: I AM SORRY!

I am deeply sorry for this. And I condemn those who were against.

This is our fault for not backing this up fully. And I don’t know how this would get this over in terms of our valor.  First, I fault our so-called Wisconsin values. I fault that in addition with our polarized politics mainly with Scott Walker, the Republicans of the state, and mostly with those who jumped aboard the bandwagon of spoiled selfish politics that could been better in terms of helping the Wisconsin folks of our unemployment woes. Our black unemployment population is still at around 50% and the area near 27th and Townsend once housed your company was a good idea. And in history, it had GREAT PRODUCTIVE JOBS!  A.O. Smith was a great company. And I don’t care what some so-called citizen thought it could have been. But it was a unfinished opportunity due to the ignorance and stupidity of this state! The deal was to me was perfect. And it should have been thought of the future of Infrastructure of Transportation to go where the jobs are. Milwaukee and Madison should have been linked up with Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Paul. Plus also Detroit.  I can’t fault the other cites or states. But the real fault is in Scott Walker’s hands and he knows it. And after all of that being signed a done deal by former Gov. Jim Doyle.

Back in 2012, I visited the area for the trains during your open house and yes, it was a good to see the trains up close. Modern technology in all. And I kept wondering, why would Wisconsin would give THIS UP?! Seriously?!!

Now this announcement of you leaving the City is disappointing. And most of us know it’s our fault. As a native of the state, I too take the blame. However, for those who were opposed to the project, probably got their wish that it’s a boondoggle and it’s another way of run away government spending. They claim that no one will ride it and it’s too expensive. The same folks in my opinion that said that, are just bigoted fools that don’t want folks like me roll through their part of the state based on my skin color. And other minorities too. What I mean by that is, there are those in Wisconsin that things “segregated”. Even though also this is a black eye in our state, and a black eye in the vision of President Barack Obama. Why I am putting the President in this? It was part of his idea of putting folks to work with the shovel ready jobs. Don’t believe me? one of our radio stations, 860AM WNOV talks about this all the time. And the question will restart yet again, how and will this create jobs? And the obvious, where are the jobs that I can get to without a car in the state?

Not everyone in Wisconsin doesn’t have a vehicle, citizens!  Tell that to the Governor and Republicans of the state!

Oh, and about Super Steel? They need to get with the 21st Century style stuff. Just saying.

And the lamest comments: “Sorry about the jobs, and bye bye choo-choo train!”  Really lame along with Walker’s imaginary 250,000 jobs that he pointed to be objective in his first run. But now, he is not fully committed with that notion. Right now, the jobs report in Wisconsin is still low! And also who wants to come to Wisconsin and put jobs in the Century City District, in the city of Milwaukee and mostly in the areas in Milwaukee THAT FOLKS CAN BE SUPPORTED in the area? Not Waukesha, Not anywhere else where the white flight happens to go. Just in the area where it’s needed. If the so-called Wisconsinites who talked smacked about the train jobs, then why didn’t they supported the workers of Talgo by staying and working with them? And I met the workers two years ago. Ignorance is bliss when you know it.

We already know that the state will be jacked up with later fees, taxes and losses. Plus your on- going lawsuit against the state is still intact. I say do it. You have every right to do so. And I’m saying this as a resident.

If this is one of those “Teachable Moments” to learn from, it is. But the state of the Badgers will be suffering from it the most.

Sincerely,

Stephen

P.S.  – And as far as the Milwaukee Streetcar is concerned: don’t let that go!

Enhanced by Zemanta

As indicated before I was supposed to post a blog letter to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. However that will be next. But since the issue of the Washington Post had risen up with Scott Walker and his viewpoints on how could Wisconsin can Teach Washington, per say, it promptly conveyed me to write this letter. So here goes:

Dear Washington Post Readers:

Its me Stephen, and I happen to be a black resident from Wisconsin. Yes, we do have black folks here.  6% to be exact.

I assumed that today that you probably read about Governor Scott Walker’s viewpoint on how Wisconsin could teach Washington about the political thing of budgets and compromise. And I’m sure that you had your say so via commentary.

But I’m here to tell you all this and this only: ITS TOTAL GARBAGE!

From his opinion piece, here he writes:  “When I ran for governor, the unemployment rate topped out at 9.2 percent and Wisconsin ranked 43rd on Chief Executive Magazine’s list of best states for business. Today, our unemployment rate has dropped to 6.7 percent and Wisconsin has moved up to 17th on the magazine’s list. Equally important, 94 percent of employers surveyed by the statewide chamber think Wisconsin is headed in the right direction,up from just 4 percent in 2009.”

And he comments this: “Tough but prudent decisions put us back on track. We enacted long-term structural reforms that include allowing schools to bid out health insurance, local governments to stop overtime abuse and the state to collect reasonable contributions for health insurance and pensions —all of which saved millions. Instead of austerity, we chose reform. At first, some legislative leaders balked at our plans. But we worked through their concerns and together we created legislation that not only passed but also produced positive results.”

Oh check this out: “Actually, this was the Wisconsin that newly elected legislative leaders and I inherited a little more than two years ago. Our state faced big problems. We were at a turning point. So together, the legislature and I worked to fix the economic and fiscal crises holding Wisconsin back.”

Read that last line: “the legislature and I worked to fix the economic and fiscal crises holding Wisconsin back.”  Holding Wisconsin back he says..What a bunch of crap out of the Governor who dropped out of Marquette University.

The other side of this is: Wisconsin is really near dead last when it comes to jobs. Around 38-50. Some of those “reforms” he failed to mention in leading to stripping the Unions of Collective Bargaining Rights. Slashing about billions of dollars in which public education was supposed to be useful. Even rejecting and stopping BadgerCare for about 90,000 plus residents. Refusing to take about 800 million dollars in which would have linked my home state with High Speed Rail, which we ALMOST had, but it was blown up by the so-called Tea Party Fans, their representatives and busted up by Walker himself. What that also did, opened up more dilemmas of segregation. If you don’t know, Wisconsin is nice state in all, but it can be segregated. Milwaukee, my home city is the most segregated city in the United States. If you ask anyone that has relocated to D.C. and they are from Wisconsin, ask them. The company Talgo, was the chosen train maker in order to provide the train cars for the High Speed Rail Project. The same company is now suing the State of Wisconsin for breach of contract. A huge no-no for the current Administration. If you recent got some trains and rail dollars, that mostly came from Wisconsin. In which the state rejected under this slash and burn Governor. Yes, I said “slash and burn governor” in the same sentence. Plus also he had the nerve to survive a recall last year in which he blamed for the lack of jobs. His jobs policies are the reasons why there aren’t enough jobs anyway. Remember, he said constantly about having this 250,000 jobs in which I think it will not happen. Plus also, ask the black residents of Milwaukee about Scott Walker and they’ll give you a comment that will not sit well with the conservative crowd here in Wisconsin. In regarding the jobs, many of the jobs around the area, is mostly in the Suburban districts, and not a bus line which is harder for those who don’t have a car, can’t get to the jobs.  Milwaukee has at least 50% of African-Americans are unemployed and need WORK! Want more proof? Listen to our progressive talk radio in Wisconsin. Or matter of fact: listen to a radio station called WNOV. Which you can listen to via the internet by doing a Google search. Or go to http://www.wnovmusic.com. This is the only black radio station that the badger state currently has. Most of the topics are focusing on Milwaukee and Wisconsin from a black point of view, but also from a black America viewpoint. The best times to listen to WNOV per say, would be 9am – 12pm Central time. Which would be 10am- 1pm your time. Or our Madison State Capitol connections have progressive talk radio that is mostly democratic, but useful.

This op-ed viewpoint of Walker is just crazy. Really he’s using this stunting thing in order in many here in Badger State have a thought of him running for President in 2016. Oh, did he mentioned that he has a book out, in which he pens his achievement rise to power above unions and boondoggles?  And plus this is the same guy that DROPPED OUT of College in the 90’s. Marquette University – The very same Marquette that had the famous Al McGuire of him winning the 1977 NCAA Finals. And also, Dwayne Wade went to the school before jumping ship to the Miami Heat. And the same Marquette University where one of our state’s Congresswoman named Gwen Moore attended and graduated! Some here in Wisconsin have been talking about her recently and ponder the question: Why is Gwen Moore’s name not being mentioned for the Governor’s chair in 2014? And plus Congresswoman Moore knows how to beat Scott Walker because she did against him in a State Assembly Race in 1990. If the phrase “Governor Moore” or Gwen Moore: Governor for Wisconsin per say would be good thing for a future Wisconsin, why not a future recognition for America. I know it’s wishful thinking, but hey it could happen if she feels is useful. But in the meantime, one challenger has stepped up from the Wisconsin Democratic Party by the name of Mary Burke. If those wondering, read my previous post about her, plus also do a Google search on her.  Just to pass along.

Washington Post readers: DO NOT BE FOOLED about what he had said in your Op-ed section. Many Republicans like him are just bragging about their successes but often fail at their of slashing and burning commentary. – Sort of like what Tom Barrett said years back when Walker was going for the Chair. He warned us: “Hang on to your hats!”  And the winds have picked up harshly. Walker talked about “What Wisconsin could teach Washington.” Maybe Washington could teach Wisconsin about governing, job creation, healthcare marketplace purchasing, environmental, and many other concerns and ideas in which the higher states are doing. Maybe President Obama can teach Walker about getting jobs, sustain educational views, and many others. And he used to teach in the schools!  Meanwhile that H.S. Diploma that Walker has is not working for tutoring. And plus if possible, I know some Wisconsin Democrats that can teach DC. Just saying. Good ones that is.

Even for a state like Minnesota that is already beating us Badger folks upside the head in jobs and economics.

Sincerely,

Stephen
