Well I thought I wouldn’t do this, but it’s time to do an rant on the spot. And that rant is about the Leftists or some of the Democrats has this “dislike” of three potential ideal picks in the next run to get the seat back. I’m talking about Sen. Kamala Harris, Senator Cory Booker, and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick. All three are very potential in having the idea in the eyes of others to run for President for 2020, but the latter of matter is that many in the “Leftist” rank think that they are not potential enough. Mainly still stuck on the Bernie Sanders/Hillary Clinton angle. And for those whom are not known for this, Bernie is an Independent Candidate that ran as a Democrat. But I don’t understand why are the senators of Harris, Booker and Patrick are getting this “dislike” and somewhat hate from the same party group that they are supporting. For Senator Harris, look: I really like her. She’s got a poise on her. And according to the stories, the angles of her being supportive of Black Lives Matter, and an experience with being a prosecutor in California. So what’s the matter with those I ask? Like really? The hate on Cory Booker, relates to the ties to Wall Street, and this “not so nice” relation to Big Pharma. And as former governor Deval Patrick is concerned: he works for Bain Capital as a managing director. And yes, even Cory Booker at one time defended Bain Capital while realizing that notion when both parties were facing the same examples of financial concerns on Wall Street.

But I have to ask, why are we the African-American base of the Democratic Party have to go through this “permission list” of whom to pick of the whole contenders? Can we make our own picks?

The whole thing in this predicament, is almost like, “oh we shouldn’t pick them because of the angles of being a prosecutor or with Black Lives Matter is flat out ridiculous. Really it is. It’s shameful that the progressives wouldn’t dive in on it. Why not progressives?!!! Let’s be real! These picked out of the black side of the DNC are interesting and should be on the pulse of the 2020 Election. And should be. But oh……no.

If I have to be a betting man I would pick a Kamala Harris/Cory Booker ticket for 2020. Just my opinion. No Progressive or Leftist opinions necessary!

Did this once, will do it again.

Ready. Set. Go!

They say stay woke, right? Well….

Black folks: why does the American Flag is labeled as a “Symbol of Oppression?” Asking for a friend!

CALLOUT: We heard the announcement of being free since June 19th, 1865. Tell me also why we in the black community still haven’t been fully free since. (Except for 1970)Anyone want to clarify? Be TRUTHFULLY honest. If we fully haven’t gained our 1776 INDEPENDENCE, then we’re still in the struggle for that 1865 FREEDOM!

More “meme counter thoughts” to come.

Oh it’s time once again to go back to the learning tree.

For this: it’s once again that my centerpiece is set for Black History Month. No millennials, not black futures month, or a thing being conscious month. Black History Month is back again being 91 years old, and yes there many of us who think we know everything that is Black History. Or do we?

Like many years before, there are spoiler alerts: Stop me if you heard this one:

“I celebrate my people everyday.”

Or: “Every month is Black History Month.”

Or: “Black History Month begins January 1st and ends December 31st”.

Or: “I’m Black Everyday.”

Oh really? Hear me out.

How many of us in the black communities and classrooms, homes and churches and many others (including Social Media) do actually believe that when we say that, it’s almost we’re lying to ourselves?

Think about it. Years back on this blog again, I ask this same question:

What (in the H.E. Double Hockey Sticks) do we do everyday?

We are at work, school, in line to buy that new gadget, that line of weave, that line of new Jordans, that latest new single by J. Cole or a underrated rock band, or the list goes on and on! And the thing is, the age range is not a factor. You mean to tell me we can list all the sports records in Football and how the Atlanta Falcons CHOKED in the 51st SuperBowl(after beating Green Bay Twice), but can’t recite the reasons why black players couldn’t make the roster because of skin color? Or many of us love guns/militarism. Why wasn’t the US Military at the time had black servicemen who did their job for their country, but never got love for the country they served for?

I want to jump back to the quote of “celebrating our people everyday” and such.

If we really celebrate our people everyday, where are those who have NOT BEEN CELEBRATED?! Where are they at? How many of us who bleed that quote of celebrating us everyday never gave the flowers to those whom always been hidden every single time.  It’s always the front runners, the lead dogs, those that got the first divas for being out more than those that didn’t get one trophy for the hard work. And they have been grinding! What about those whom you got on your Social Media lists that has all those boat loaded accomplishments that you read about, but have this so-called opinion of them being so radical with actions or whatever and you don’t say nothing to be appreciative? Some of you may know where I’m going with this! But here’s the kicker. Many of us don’t hardly acknowledge it as much, while still being ALIVE!

5 years ago in February, Whitney Houston’s Funeral was taking place. And one of her former Bodyguards said something about giving flowers to those whom are living. That’s real talk. Every black man, and of course every black woman should be given their flowers RIGHT NOW for not only the appreciation of work, or a birthday, an anniversary, or being a good citizen or family member or friend, but still around.

CALLOUT: Especially us Black Males need that too!

Many of us give flowers at a time of funerals. But that person lying in a casket or ashes in urns never got the chance to smell the roses while living. We need to recognize and check ourselves that yes, life is short. Anyone of us could be taken out for selfish or health reasons of anytime. That’s also real talk!

And about the phrase: “I’m black everyday or every month.”

Well duh! Of course many of us in the black community are black everyday! And I hope it’s not a diss towards Black History Month. I’ll admit that yes we got this pride of being a proud black man or a proud black woman. We got pride of recognizing our culture, our objectives, our purpose and our existence. We know.

However: I have to stress this, there are those of us whom are NOT proud of our heritage! Inner hate. Being ashamed. Being disregarded of not acknowledging the thought of having a prideful positive outlook of being black overall. Stop me if you have heard this before.

When black folks say “I’m black everyday”, I say: of course! And I dare say: what else?

  • Are you black everyday and helping out your community?
  • Are you black everyday and give back to your Alumni?
  • Are you black everyday and providing a value of support in your families, churches, fraternities, sororities, neighborhoods, and your place of employment?
  • Are you black everyday and giving back overall of the work after you somewhat post on Facebook, and other social media outlet?
  • Are you black everyday and not dissing or shaming the culture that many of us made fun of when we were younger?
  • Are you black everyday that after you have all those meetings and actually go over and review of what happened and how to make it better for the merrier?
  • Are you black everyday (talking to the men) whom don’t do the domestic violence thing, or dissing the health needs, dissing the black women in a ego sense, or financial concerns?
  • Are you black everyday, (talking to the women) who don’t diss all black men whom you think that they are dogs, ain’t all that like some thug, not being appreciated or loved, supportive, or not very extroverted like many of you, or who assumes that he has to make the same amount of cash, or whatever like many of you? As well as not dissing your needs of medical or finance?
  • Are we black everyday, and not hating on our educational values?
  • Are we black everyday and not hating on each other for clothes, money, what you don’t have, when forcing someone to speak, a certain game console, shoes, gadgets, food supply, or anything that is not worthy of being jealous?
  • Are we black everyday and fighting against racism, the gangs, prostitution,  etc?
  • Are we black everyday and do the Christian or religious related thing to things that matter and thinking it straight?
  • Are we black everyday and having a goal to have a better value of our history and future?
  • Are we black everyday and vote in every Election? Should have thought about that in November.
  • Are we black everyday like we supposed to be black everyday ? Just asking.

MASSIVE CALLOUT: We need to be real!

Oh and white folks: look, don’t ask the same tired question about when is a “White History Month” going to happen. Clearly you guys got every month locked in on the freaking calendar. Stop playing with yourselves!

Later on before the month is out, I’ll be doing a review of what was I think stood out in #BHM2017.

But for now: My #BHM2017 centerpiece is displayed on the table while staying in the struggle.

Man oh Man.

What a way to summarize Black Music Month 2016.

If anyone had the chance to watch the 2016 BET Awards, on a deal by those that can upstage Madonna in a sense of who can do a better tribute to Prince, yes I will admit, the BET Awards put their monies where the mouths are. Just admit it, they had to do it on their word. And yes, the main portions of the show was dedicated to Prince. Artists from The Roots, Bilal, Stevie Wonder, Janelle Monae (with the outfit that had her butt cheeks shown – HEY PRINCE DID IT 25 YEARS AGO!) and others all paid homage to the Purple Artist.

Of all the artists whom paid homage to Prince the most to me I would think that would belong to Shelia E. Her mixes from HouseQuake to A Love Bizzare were definitely on point. Even Mayte made an appearance along with Jerome Benton. If that mix didn’t do justice I don’t know what will. And the look on Sheila’s face says it all toward the end. It was a job that had to be done. And a job done well that the group did. Hope Prince is happy. Now they  need to take that craft and continue to generate new artists that can follow that MPLS and Midwestern sound that Prince laid out in the beginning.

Another highlight of the event: Jesse Williams winning the BET Humanitarian Award.

If anyone had NOT had a chance to hear what Jesse said, I’m sorry to say that it was a MUST HEAR SPEECH! It was probably that MUST HEAR SPEECH that every single one of had to listen. Why? because it was the truth. And apparently he got some folks mad after what he said. You know what, let them be mad. Let them get pissed.

Here is the full context of the speech straight out of

Peace peace. Thank you, Debra. Thank you, BET. Thank you Nate Parker, Harry and Debbie Allen for participating in that .

Before we get into it, I just want to say I brought my parents out tonight. I just want to thank them for being here, for teaching me to focus on comprehension over career, and that they make sure I learn what the schools were afraid to teach us. And also thank my amazing wife for changing my life.

Now, this award – this is not for me. This is for the real organizers all over the country – the activists, the civil rights attorneys, the struggling parents, the families, the teachers, the students that are realizing that a system built to divide and impoverish and destroy us cannot stand if we do.

It’s kind of basic mathematics – the more we learn about who we are and how we got here, the more we will mobilize.

Now, this is also in particular for the black women in particular who have spent their lifetimes dedicated to nurturing everyone before themselves. We can and will do better for you.

Now, what we’ve been doing is looking at the data and we know that police somehow manage to deescalate, disarm and not kill white people everyday. So what’s going to happen is we are going to have equal rights and justice in our own country or we will restructure their function and ours.

Now… I got more y’all – yesterday would have been young Tamir Rice’s 14th birthday so I don’t want to hear anymore about how far we’ve come when paid public servants can pull a drive-by on 12 year old playing alone in the park in broad daylight, killing him on television and then going home to make a sandwich. Tell Rekia Boyd how it’s so much better than it is to live in 2012 than it is to live in 1612 or 1712. Tell that to Eric Garner. Tell that to Sandra Bland. Tell that to Dorian Hunt.

Now the thing is, though, all of us in here getting money – that alone isn’t gonna stop this. Alright, now dedicating our lives, dedicating our lives to getting money just to give it right back for someone’s brand on our body when we spent centuries praying with brands on our bodies, and now we pray to get paid for brands on our bodies.

There has been no war that we have not fought and died on the front lines of. There has been no job we haven’t done. There is no tax they haven’t leveed against us – and we’ve paid all of them. But freedom is somehow always conditional here. “You’re free,” they keep telling us. But she would have been alive if she hadn’t acted so… free.

Now, freedom is always coming in the hereafter, but you know what, though, the hereafter is a hustle. We want it now.

And let’s get a couple things straight, just a little sidenote – the burden of the brutalized is not to comfort the bystander. That’s not our job, alright – stop with all that. If you have a critique for the resistance, for our resistance, then you better have an established record of critique of our oppression. If you have no interest, if you have no interest in equal rights for black people then do not make suggestions to those who do. Sit down.

We’ve been floating this country on credit for centuries, yo, and we’re done watching and waiting while this invention called whiteness uses and abuses us, burying black people out of sight and out of mind while extracting our culture, our dollars, our entertainment like oil – black gold, ghettoizing and demeaning our creations then stealing them, gentrifying our genius and then trying us on like costumes before discarding our bodies like rinds of strange fruit. The thing is though… the thing is that just because we’re magic doesn’t mean we’re not real.

Thank you.

I’ll bet many have probably said the same thing. But couldn’t get it out. But Jesse Williams did. And I’m glad that he said the words he said. You can call it powerful, real talk, on point, whatever. The fact of the matter is, it is happening. It’s not just denial. In the words of my former pastor, “they know its the truth, but they just don’t want to hear it!”

Speaking of that: of  course there are some “haters” that had to clap back with denial or anguish. Like Stacey Dash whom wished the death of BET and Black History Month back in January. Didn’t work Stacey! You have been exposed. If she hated BET or anything that pertains to African-Americans, why was she getting paid BACK THEN? And this millennial Tomi Lahren, she had to “clapback” about what Jesse said and having the gaul to call the BET Awards racist. LITTLE GIRL: GO TO YOUR ROOM AND SIT DOWN! She is a non factor trying to be paid like the likes of Glenn Beck on his Blaze TV  Program or whatever. She knows nothing! All it is, she is being played to say the things she does. She already got the Donkey of the Day by The Breakfast Club anyway.

CALLOUT: Should Stacey Dash and Tomi Lahren should have that “Come to Jesus Meeting” after all? My case is yes! And many of those like them and we know who they are better have those tickets punched for those seats! And this goes for those black men and white men who got mad after what Jesse Williams said also. If those men ACTUALLY got the balls to say what he said, in public, or on a Black Network, then why they mad? Even they need to go in the corner and SIT DOWN!

Or in this case: sit down and shut up!

Yes it was powerful. Straight up.

And a sidenote: the BET Awards also acknowledged one of my hometown residents Marcus Duke out of Milwaukee. He is the owner of ClubKids414 and has great things for the city in terms of Milwaukee’s youth and kids. If those have not checked this out, please do so.

I’m going to bust out some questions that really have my head scratching. Some fun, mostly serious. Usually I do this around the end of the year, but this is a warm up in which in December, next month you will see a different turn out.

  • I know it just ended, but why do folks on FB (in a negative sense) spelled Halloween like this: “Holloween”?
  • Has Sheriff David Clarke really put himself over his head about Police Brutality being over? And being scared of black media like Roland Martin on TVOne?
  • Do we really need Paul Ryan to head the Speaker of the House?
  • Anyone from your past STILL has a crush on you and don’t know it?
  • We know (mostly in Milwaukee) Sheriff David Clarke and is almost related conservative commentary. So why the phrase, “Black Lies Matter?”
  • Speaking of which, do people really think that Black Lives Matter is out to kill cops?
  • Take a wild guess: Still, despite of the suggestion of Louis Farrakhan from the “Justice or Else” Rally, are you really going to do Christmas shopping and tell your kids that “I picked out those gifts, instead of Santa Claus?”
  • Veteran’s Day is coming up. Whose lighting the houses green?
  • Will us Sagittarians be really ready after the Scorpios give up the Zodiac Baton? And rule the 9th house as any Sag should?
  • Why did the Christmas stuff came out SO EARLY in the stores? Right after Halloween?
  • For those who like to sabotage High School Class Reunions, or any Reunion: WHAT IS YOUR BEEF?!!!!!
  • For all those who say “We can’t find anyone in the black community” in relation to jobs, where and what are you digging?
  • For the Church Haters out there: Are you really believing that ALL CHURCH MEMBERS AND BISHOPS, MINISTERS, are all the same team to take your money and be pimpish?
  • For all you BGLO/Divine 9’rs out there, DO YOU REALLY invite Iota Phi Theta to your functions, or you just leave them off your plans to attend? Just don’t say, “well we attempt to contact everybody to come…….” TRY HARDER! I mean it with love.
  • Will you, the average voter are assuming that after President Obama leaves office in 2017, still believe that the “nightmare” will be over?
  • Will the Green Bay Packers win the Superbowl, WITHOUT Jordy Nelson and prove to have 14 NFL Straps?
  • For all you Conscious folks out there, always posting those memes on Facebook, and Instagram. Are you really serious about the things you say and believe, or what?
  • Why do folks on Facebook have to post a “photoshop” photo of President Obama and Michelle in a Pimp and Prostitute look? Are they really this dumb?
  • For those who are looking for a man, (especially Single Black Women looking for love) why at times do you have to say all men ain’t you know what? And having this bitter generalization attitude? Not every man you generalize is not your father who left you at 13 or earlier!
  • Not to pick on the Italians, but why was a young gymnast from your country had to say something about painting her skin dark to win gym matches? REALLY?!!!
  • Here is a question: black folks I need to ask, when facing all the problems in the cities, northern cities per say: Why move to Atlanta? Does the ATL have problems like oh……….Milwaukee? Or any other city that deals with high unemployment, racism, black violence,  discrimination against Blacks, etc. No matter where you go, there are problems EVERYWHERE! Especially in states where Slavery started. Just saying.
  • Can those who have Drones flying around, actually get jobs with big bucks?
  • Can Rachel Dolazal and Raven-Symone be really traded?
  • Speaking of Halloween, most religious folks think it’s the devil’s holiday. Do they realize that has connections to All Saint’s Day, that is a religious occasion? And oh, by the way, not to knock on anything or anyone, the devil does not take a holiday. Even if it’s Thanksgiving, Christmas, your baby’s birthday, or 9/11. I’M JUST SAYING!!! Be on watch!
  • And the last question: why are our kids whom are 7 to 11 years old, in Milwaukee are getting robbed for these Hoverboards? And the thing is they probably robbed them for some drug money. Or because they are poor for not having food, and didn’t mean to do it. Think about it.

There will be more to come. Just wait for it toward the end of the year.

I gotta get this in. BEFORE HALLOWEEN!

Now I know that many are gearing up for the costumes, the parties, the Haunted Hayrides, Dances, Trick-Or-Treating, or many other things that go bump in the night. Even listening to the songs of the Monster Mash or Thriller.

First take from the Crypt: Again: what is up with the black faces crap?

I know there is some goober in America that had to dress up in a black face acting if they are black. Oh wait, there are. Has anyone seen this mess on Facebook? In which a white dude a hoodie with Tea and Skittles plus acting if it’s Trayvon Martin. Are we on this BS again?! For all of those who think that this cool or to do the mimics, it’s all about poking fun at those who lost their lives for no reason because they looked suspcious! That’s how I see it. Oh they might bust out by saying that “It’s just Halloween!”. But you’re making fun of someone who lost their son!

It’s been like before, I know. But seriously, why is the black race always the punching bag when stuff like this ALWAYS happens?

There are going to be those yet again who don’t understand. And those who might say the “I have black friends” speech. If you really have black friends who might be offended, would you care? To those who like this. On Facebook, I saw a pic that displayed this and I want to show it here. Actually it’s from a video clip from youtube called “Cultures are not Costumes!”

And after reading about this whole thing, it’s becoming very apparent that the look-a-likes are just that: Wannabes. And the thing is it perpetuates that fabiric that is taking place now when it comes to the preverbial sensitive misunderstanding about one’s culture. Many are probably offended because they can relate to something that is really personal. Of course it is! We see it EVERYDAY! Not the usual every Halloween Season. I know that Halloween is all about the fun. About the Imaginary. About embracing the side of your haunting displays. About the Jack-O-Lanterns, the Draculas, The Bride of Frankensteins, The Wolfmans, the Gargoyles, The Skulls, The Haunted Houses, The Monster Mash, The Costume parties without feelings, The Simpsons doing their traditional Halloween Shows, the Michael Jackson repeats of Thriller, the Movies of Jason, Freddy, The Crow, Blade, Jonah Hex, and yes the time that Martin got scared crappless in 1992. We know that Halloween is all about the imaginary. Even getting Halloween Greeting cards. Speaking of that, where’s my Halloween Cards, darn it?!!!!!!

Now, to all those who are so, so religious: those who are so Holy that this is a sinful day to celebrate: it’s all in your head. I’m a Christian and yes, I do get in the fun of Halloween while doing the work of God in my community. But that’s another story to read on the grave vault. For you Blackface morons who just love to stick to the face of adversity, you really are hurting! How would the black folks feel if they went whiteface? Hmmmmm…………something to think about.

The second take from the crypt: What is or was up with the Iotas? Also known as the the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity?

Now I’m kinding of late on the scene, but there was a video that was displayed in which their Alpha Chapter was featured in which they have a comment for all those in the Divine 9 that made fun, or made jokes about them, in which they don’t exist. But after reading the comments and the summary of the story, it clearly states, or my inference that the Iota’s had to make noise. Not bad noise coming from them. But the noise in which the other guys had all those comments and those name calling things like “Iota who?” Or all the butt jokes about being the UPS Guys in their traditional Brown and Gold colors.

And by the way, I’m in no means of defending this Fraternity. You might want to “webcache” the site via google for this one.

OK. So many feel that the Iotas, the 1963 Formed Iota Phi Theta was on the hyper sensitive feelings that took stabs at the Alphas, the Ques, or others that given them the hot seat. BIG DEAL! Is that breaking news now?

Can I ask this question: Did any of you, in the Alphas, Phi Beta Sigmas, Omegas, or Kappas, ever met an Iota in your life? Be honest!

Or let me ask these “horrifying” questions:

  • Have any of you in the divine 9 ever invited any Iota member to your Fraternity/Sorority functions?
  • Have any of you went to school with an Iota Phi Theta Member? I’m not just talking about college!
  • Do any of you go to church with an Iota Phi Theta Member?
  • If the Divine 9 is supposed to be about the movement and to uplift and support each other, why always chewing them out?
  • Have any of you competed in a stepping competition to an Iota? AND LOST?!
  • Have any of you worked or work with someone who is an Iota Phi Theta Member? Either on the job, volunteer projects?
  • Are any of you related to a member of the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity? BE HONEST!
  • Have any of you went to an Iota event. ever? If so, when?
  • Has anyone from the Iotas invited you to their events, meetings of community, or any other gathering?
  • I know some probably have asked about their building traditions. Have you really gone to their website and to read about it? Oh, and I’m sure you have a book by Lawrence Ross that details all of the Divine 9 groups! Yeah, that book. DUH!

Some of you need to get on board. Like TODAY!

I know that many are probably have said or had said that you got all these groups out here making jokes about who could go the hardest or those being left out of the parties, but yet you still got innocent black men, young black males and females going through unemployment, not being able to get checked, not being able to vote, can’t afford a home due to discrimination, and many other factors of concerns. Even being dragged out of a school desk by a deputy. And oh, you crack jokes about a fraternity that had been the butt jokes because they were founded in the 1960’s. Speaking of that, you do realize that next year, in 2016, it will mark 20 years since the Iotas were added to the NPHC? That should mean something. But to many of you, it probably won’t.

You guys talk about “Iota Who?”. What about “Alpha What?”, or “Kappa When?”, “Omega Why?” or “Phi Beta Sigma Where?” Uh-huh! Lecture that!

For you: the Iota Phi Theta: I know you’ve been on the receiving end of the jokes that floored you for so long. But it’s time to stand up. I’m not talking about beating up the Alphas, or the Sigmas or the Omegas or Kappas in a Street Fight. You guys have to stand up and let these folks know that yeah “so what we were the last to come”. But you’re still here!  52+ years strong like the centaur you guys are!

You are not dead yet! You still have to push the envelope. You still have to raise the bar!

That’s right I said it!

It needed to be said!

Maybe this video of yours that got taken down was probably a way to let those know…..they had it coming! It was a matter of time for it. Nevermind the so-called butt jokes. Because like any other groups, or Fraternities, or even Sororities, there is always someone that has to act a freaking fool. And some of YOU frats or soros know it!

Get it together, folks.

Can I just vent a little? Sheriff David Clarke’s freaking head needs examination!

Yeah I said it!

I hate to say it Milwaukee County, but what were we thinking in which this dude got in again. Now I know the sympathizers might come and say, “oh at least he’s telling the truth…..” Don’t know what I’m talking about? Look at this video footage:

You see this BS? Seriously?!!

You talk about Sub-human creeps?

In the video, he also said that about police brutality: ‘There is no police brutality in America’. He also said that the President is playing the race game, in his regarding the subject of #BlackLivesMatter. Oh, he also claimed like after January 2017, when he claims that the “nightmare” will disappear.

I call the B.S. Card on this one!

Sheriff David Clarke, the second black sheriff in Milwaukee County is nothing more than a misguided dude. I’m sorry he is. I thought he was “voteable”, but I was wrong. I feel that those whom voted for him the most probably got more votes in the outline suburbs surrounding Milwaukee than in the Metro Area of Milwaukee! And those of us in the Black Community IN Milwaukee probably got the worst mistake by accepting that in voting for him by being a black man in office. Is that the reason? I’ll never forget the acceptance speech after he won. And I’ll never forget what the late Annette “Polly” Williams said that she voted for Clarke because he’s a black man, whom also supported the Sheriff’s vote to stay in office. She said that on her own radio segment in Milwaukee awhile back. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Hey man, she was a black woman voting for a black man, and served her district well in her tenure”. I get that. That was her viewpoint. But  I also realized that others like Polly probably felt the same way in Milwaukee’s Black Community. With all due respect to her and her legacy, and have nothing against that. But right now, I hope that folks are beginning to wake up with the truth stating that the Second Black Sheriff in Milwaukee County History is not really out for black folks!

And also, why wouldn’t Sheriff Clarke wouldn’t go on black talk shows like Roland Martin’s to talk about #BlackLivesMatter? Just like all the Bill O’Reily fanatics, the Rush Limbaughs, Ann Coulters, Glenn Becks, and others of that so-called right wing media mess of The Blaze and Fox News, that talk a lot of their game being anti-black this and that, to not having a sit down convo with someone like Roland who pulls no punches in talking about the real deal about the purpose or goal of saying and displaying #BlackLivesMatter. But they won’t! They are scared to death of black media folks who want to challenge them on their commentary! And lately, Sheriff Clarke said this tweet about the movement joining up with ISIS:

Really, Sheriff Clarke? The Black Lives Matter movement will join up with ISIS?!!! How stupid and pathetic of this high ranking COUNTY OFFICIAL thinking that this would happen?!!!! Yo, if anyone voted up for him last year, or endorsed him in your Milwaukee radio spots last year, you should have thought twice! Polly Williams has turned over in her grave like crazy right now. SMH! I have to ask this Milwaukee County: Is electing Sheriff David Clarke (yet again) plus what he said here, a real conclusion that really will get Milwaukee’s long shot of jobs?  I’ll say it: No. Not a chance. This is an embarrassment!

In regards to President Obama’s stance on the Black Lives Matter movement: it got a boost. Last week as we all know, The President did indeed nodded that there are issues that the African-American community faces each day that goes unnoticed. In the interview, he said this from the article of the Washington Post:

Sometimes, like any of these loose organizations, some people pop off and say dumb things but … on the other hand though, it started being lifted up as ‘these folks are opposed to police, they’re opposed to cops and all lives matter,’ so the notion was that somehow saying black lives matter was reverse racism or suggesting that other people’s lives don’t matter or police officers lives don’t matter,” Obama said. “And whenever we get bogged down in that kind of discussion, we know where that goes, that’s just down the old trap.”

Obama went on to suggest that organizers of Black Lives Matter — which he declared a “social media movement” — do value all lives and do support good law enforcement. But he added, repeating a line he has used often when discussing issues of race and policing, that concerns about policing and profiling in minority communities are real and valid.

“I think that the reason that the organizers used the phrase Black Lives Matter was not because they were suggesting that no one else’s lives matter … rather what they were suggesting was there is a specific problem that is happening in the African American community that’s not happening in other communities,” Obama said. “And that is a legitimate issue that we’ve got to address.

And guess what, ladies and gentlemen: we are still addressing the legitimate issues! It doesn’t matter what year or era it is. Even if it’s Police Brutality! I’ve seen scenes of police videos in Milwaukee of the Police Department punching a black woman in the back of a squad car. Even a California Highway Patrolman punching a black woman on the ground in broad daylight! Remember in Milwaukee in 2004 when Frank Jude Jr was beaten up by the police way back? That happened. Tell me I’m wrong! Beatings. Brutalities. And Sheriff David Clarke thinks it’s been handled in the 60’s and it’s gone? Obviously, he had forgot about Rodney King!

It is no wonder that the head of the County Sheriff himself needed to be examined. And to those that voted him into office yet again, your heads need to be examined! It’s coming like a evil Halloween smile on a Jack-O-Lantern.

Oh, and Happy Halloween by the way.

I’m sure many in America had heard about Milwaukee Bucks Player John Henson was in the spotlight of a recent racial profiling incident in Whitefish Bay. Yes, he was racially profiled. For those of us who didn’t know or probably want a review, let’s refresh the message he sent from his Instagram:

John Henson's Instagram post. (Screencap via

Oh yes. He was definitely racial profiled. Don’t get mad Greater Milwaukee Area and Suburbs because we are known for this. So people yet to believe that John Henson was or is the enemy here? Honestly believe that? This is what some or many in the black community has been preaching about in which that they don’t want us, but still want OUR money! I was listening to WNOV yesterday, and one of the topics on the show was indeed about being racially profiled. No matter if it was on the job, or in the store. And  no matter how any way we slice it back and forth, everyone has a story to tell how the listening audience/callers explained how they were profiled. John Henson is getting his crash course of how to deal with racial profiling in the Greater Milwaukee Area, and like many others who have gone though it, it’s sad.

What’s even more sad that there are those who will say, “Oh he could have just driven a different car, or a friend’s truck and he couldn’t have been profiled.” Or maybe, “He shouldn’t had on a hoodie, because you know that the last time someone wore a hoodie, the guy was killed. And he was black.”  Don’t be surprised. Then again, some might be surprised anyway with sleepy minds.

CALLOUT: Can I just say two words: WAKE UP!!!!!

What happened to John Henson in Whitefish Bay, can happen in any city, county, state, or different part of the United States. Even the world countries that blacks are feared and hated the most! If this can happen in a Milwaukee Suburb, this could happen in oh I don’t know: Atlanta. Chicago. Seattle. Los Angeles. The Carolinas. Texas. California. New York. Jersey. Washington DC. London. Switzerland. Toronto. Paris. Moscow. Tokyo. Korea.

Do you realize that it can happen anywhere besides America?

Don’t just say, “well I’m leaving Milwaukee because of the racism here is crazy”. Well guess what relocating citizens, you can move where you want, but there is racism EVERYWHERE! Even in your new digs in Santa Fe, New Mexico or Phoenix Arizona. Or yes again, even Atlanta! OPEN YOUR FREAKING EYES!

I have expressed alot about race on my blog. And there was a time I didn’t want to offend those who felt want to be shared nothing but positive news. BUT…….after being followed at one time in a store in which someone thought that I was some gang member look a like, or a white lady in freaking Kmart (which is no more on Mayfair Road) had clutched her purse and assume that I’ll get to her. But my mother said to her, “you don’t have to be afraid of him. He can protect you.” Listen white folks, this was my black mother saying this. Just to indicate that not all black folks don’t appear to be like criminals or thugs, or your personal favorites: N*GGAS!

And I know that many of you had read about me being discriminated from Dresser Waukeha about a couple of years ago. Not because I’m from Milwaukee, it’s because they felt like, “We’re not going to hire this black man, were going to hire more white applicants.” And it started with 6 African-American Applicants who filed a lawsuit and also when that lawsuit got around, there were other applicants who probably filed an application, or handed in a resume online for a job opportunity and never got a call back, and then a letter or form comes to your house  and stated that you were discriminated because of your race, then yes it’s real! And we weren’t crying because of a non-job offer. It was because we were Racially Discriminated! In the end we got our reward money of $5,000.00 each in 2010. It was deserving and a teachable moment. This goes to show all of us that many companies can’t be trusted when they display the jobs that are somewhat needed. And when it comes to “minorities and women wanted” per say, it’s a waste of your time. I heard it on The Forum’s segment on WNOV and many are waking up that there are certain companies that don’t want those who don’t look like them. Or have the same type of mentality like them. And there many reasons why there are those in the Black Community that are doing the alternative besides moving. Try opening their own businesses. Hiring their own employees they seek. And that’s how many of the businesses might lose due to these incidents. I’m JUST SAYING! And many might ask why we didn’t get them. Not because of the resumes or the online profiles: it’s because of their ignorance!

I know this is might be a “offensive holding warning” to those who want that human race factor. BUT……..if the human race really matters, why racial profiling against African-Americans, Black folks who started the Human Race Factor are still out like the jury?

Yes, John Henson got discriminated. All because he wanted to buy a watch. Plus the store owner of Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers apologized and he accepted it. But the memory of that will be etched in his mind that the thought of being discriminated will never be erased. And that goes for anyone that is African-Decent. Even me!

The struggle continues!

Well, I have been on a break. Had to take a blogging break to ease the mind. After celebrating a milestone of High School 20 Years, and other things, its time to get back to the grind with a three way dance!

First on the card: 20 years of the Million Man March have passed. It’s been 20 years since the Nation’s Capitol was filled with black men from all walks of life for the one Day of Atonement. Ranging from speakers, even the late Maya Angelou spoke. And yes the Minister himself Louis Farrakhan. It was also for the first time in many, many years that many have set foot on the Mall in DC to address the concerns of African-American Men facing in our communities everyday.

20 years ago was the start, now it’s JUSTICE OR ELSE!

Like many, I tuned in to see and hear the speeches of many had to be said. And even from the words from Minister Louis Farrakhan of his remarks. Two things that stuck out in this anniversary of the March was the Boycotting of Christmas and also passing the torch. We know that Christmas is coming. And yes there will be a many of us probably going out to spend the holiday cash. But in the last few years, the Christmas Holiday start per say had kind of dipped because there are those in the Black Shopping Network have decided NOT to shop on Black Friday Weekend. It will be like, nobody black don’t shop on Black Friday after all the discriminatory like ideas against black shoppers in a Walmart, or a Kmart, or any other store that might take our money, but may not take us! The minister called for those to celebrate the part of Christmas that is missing: acknowledging the parents whom act upon the Santa Claus role of providing the gifts to the families rather than the usual Santa of course taking all the credit. We know this. And many others. It’s been talked about before. Plus it’s also been a recent commentary that yes some might be offended that many didn’t attend the march due to family commitments, or other personal issues to address. OF COURSE THEY ARE MAD! Not everyone is not going to attend, or in this instance, had not attend because of the their commitments. So I say this: CHILL OUT! As long as the message continues to spread and to summarize, hopefully it might be able to catch on during the next 20 years if possible to enhance the lessons. Can this be done? Plus also the Minister talked about passing the torch. Well, he’s on point with that. There may have to come at a time when the torch must be passed to the next leaders that are coming up. That goes for anything. But in order to be the next in line to get that torch: you got to be trained right! You can’t just skip over in appropriately and just get your due. That’s not how it works, folks. Even those in the Nation have to understand that. It takes years (YEARS) to get to that spot and it’s not a fly by night stuff.

Second Dance on the Card: The Mess out of Raven-Symone.

How does this chick stay relevant? So on a recent episode of The View, the then still Olivia actress had stated that she would discriminate someone with “ghetto” names. We know those names that can be made up at times and sometimes couldn’t even pronounce. Many of us know. And alot of folks who probably were birthed with the so-called ghetto names were probably offended. I don’t blame them for earning the names. That goes on the parents. It’s like if you got a name like “Karisha” Or “Majohnte” Or those Niqua names, chances are there are those in America who are looking for work, many not hire them all because they’re mothers, or fathers or both named their kids with those particular names. Remember when President Obama talked about Jacob, not Jamal? Sounds Familiar?

Speaking of that, and Raven-Symone: I know many had to remember this show-

Does this sound familiar? This one scene from That’s So Raven, had so many folks questioning, about the judgment words that Raven-Symone made. How you going not to hire black folks per say, when you made a show that folks didn’t want you because you’re black? REALLY? Is this where the thing is going? Clearly, this is a matter of messed up minds at work. And Raven is (or has) been on the cusp offending herself, and those that rallied around her, including African-Americans fans of her, and of The Cosby Show of way back. Oh since then, she had apoligized to those who might been offended, but as far as her stature………..which remains to been seen.

Third Dance of the Card: #BlackLivesMatter Does NOT endorse Police Killings!

If anyone in America, black or white feels that the Black Lives Matter is all about police killings, you are sad and delusional. Sorry to say this, but it’s getting to the point that the apex is growing. Folks fail to mention that. I said this once and again, I thought Black Lives Matter was about addressing the concerns of black men and black women. Why is this so political?! Then the mocking and the “copycats” come out and say, “ALL LIVES MATTER” or “Police Lives Matter”. That right there, is just that: a mere smokescreen that will get folks all confused and assume that the folks saying Black Lives Matter are racist and don’t care about the other lives that mattered, or matters. I have to comment this: there are those in the mainstream media, or the local media, or your local news, or your inner Social Media Circle, that had said, or currently saying this. Hell, I don’t care if they went to your High School or University Class Reunion. Yeah I said it! You also have folks like Allen West, or the Milwaukee County Sheriff himself David Clarke going on Fox News and talking about the negative of Black Lives Matter and assuming it’s all smoke and mirrors. I call BS on that. These dudes and many like them, even the Right Wing Media Maniacs just like to pour on the ingredients just to scare folks.

Black Lives Matter DOES NOT overshadow all lives matter. Nor does kill cops!

We know that all lives really matter in all, but if all lives really matter or mattered, why is it when black folks get discriminated in any way, it’s way for the other folks to say get over it? Seriously? As a wise black woman told me that there are somethings that you can’t get over! Chew on that, Black Lives Matter haters in all! Want to know? Do a thing called research!

Yeah, they can mock the original sayings all they want, but the ORIGINAL CORE of the Black Lives Matter thing will still be in place to explain the real truth behind the rhymes and reasons.

I had alot to think about. Mainly with two subjects that I’m willing to write. And I’ve been saving it like crazy! For this, I’m going to put up two subjects here. Look at the title, and I’m going to work via today is the day that we start with a document called: WE THE PEOPLE! So yes, it’s Constitution Day in America. But I’m not going to comment about the Constitution overall.

First  Take: Kim Davis.

Let me bust this open right now!  I don’t care what religion anyone follows, or any side of political viewpoint or any other whatever, what Kim Davis did was wrong! This chick, whomever she is, didin’t issue out marriage licences to those whom are apart of the LGBT community in Kentucky. And I’m glad she went to jail for it. Technically, it’s because of her religous viewpoint of the whole Same Sex Marriage thing. The same where folks interject the “One Man, One Woman” thing. WE KNOW! Speaking of Public Servants: She should know better! On many occassions, I have blogged about me being a Election Inspector. Which is a public service gig. Even though it’s not a regular everyday thing, but it is a public servant gig. As of 2016 next year, I will enter my 10th anniversary as a poll worker. And in my almost 10 years working as a poll worker, I didn’t turn no one away based on their sexual preference. The Gay and Lesbian folks are voters too. And they deserve the right to vote just as everyone else. Where as those who want to be married in a sense with same sex marriage has a right as well. Look I’m saying this as a Christian, that does NOT want to judge, that does not want to assume that those do that are just wrong. I said it before and I’ll say it again, I don’t have a problem with anyone who is apart of the LGBTIQA whatever community! Heck, if I were a public clerk handing out marriage licenses like clockwork to ANYONE who follows the traditional marriage, or the unique same sex marriage, I would do it. Not because it’s a right. But a job. That’s what this is. A JOB! So technically this woman, who proclaims herself as a good Christian woman with beliefs of marriage, here is what the memes are saying:

Talk about being hypocritical minded. Perhaps?

Second Take: 112 Homicides in Milwaukee.

Read that again: 112 Homicides in Milwaukee. About 25 years ago, at the end of 1990, Milwaukee had about 160 homicides IN TOTAL in that one year. I was in the Middle School years when all that went down, and thing is I didn’t remember it as much. But based on the recent history as I summarized in my previous blog story regarding this, it’s kind of apparent that the “sins of the past” is haunting Milwaukee in 2015. And I’m not just talking about the effects of segregation. Homicides is what is being discussed then and now concerning the population of Milwaukee.

And I know that this rate of homicides is indeed high. It was high in 1990 and it’s near high in 2015. My question is WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT?! Instead of going on  Facebook and blubbering comments like everyday. Blubbering the comment section in the Newspapers in all, and not doing a darn thing about it! Oh yeah we can do all the marches from MIlwaukee to Chicago and many parts of the country, which is fine. But will those marches will be a lighting rod impact in getting things done? Talk to me folks. Especially here in Milwaukee with the 112 (apparent now plus) homicides we are facing. And yes we got the resources but are we utilizing the resources without all those minded of hypocritical, getting out with the woulda shoulda coulda commentary. And I’m talking about the thing that many are just targeting: the church. But also, the community centers, the recreation centers, and ALL (and I mean ALL) the Fraternities and Sororities. No matter if it’s Delta Sigma Theta, or now soon to be the 52 year old Iota Phi Theta Fraternity. Or any other organization that up and running since last night or last week, you all need to be onboard, NOW!  And plus, you don’t have to be in a well known organization just to get involved. Start your own.

I know what you’re thinking. Well that great. We know we need programs here. We’ve got them. But know this, and this is for my biblical, church going members who WANT to get out and engage: just remember, there were no programs when Jesus was around. Jesus went out in the world he didn’t stay in with all he did. Somebody say amen on that one! I think we need to be more out than within. Now I know that we hear again, of course we are doing this. But I have to ask, who is being out, and who is being still on the sidelines? And, WHO is still being told that you can’t due to a crooked past or slippery present? And who is still being told no because you belong to a church that refuses homeless folks? Even the folks who don’t go and attend stuff as much and being told no? Come on now don’t speak at once! In regarding to the 112 plus homicides: Milwaukee it’s time to get it together! Never mind our political views or who’s going to come and save the music scene of Lil’ Boosie. This is bigger than him. He’s not from here, we are! We are the taxpayers, investors here and We need to get ourselves committed in full force to let those know that we do not tolerate any kind of violence in our streets. Stop being afraid and stop being petrified at times and protect of what YOU (yes YOU the citizens of the city) needs to have everytime. If there are those who had enough of the homicides, it’s time to stand up.
