It appears that many are in confidence that the current President 45 still has issues. And of course many are calling him out to still denounce the words of KKK, White Nationalists or Supremacists , Neo-Nazis that actually have this hate of “taking their country back”. Well guess what? For all that movements that want to knock each other out like crazy and having the gaul of the hate, they have played themselves. The same folks whom tell us black folks to “get over it” when the subject of Slavery comes up, or saying that Black Lives Matter is a hate group. OH SINCE WHEN?!! Really? And of course they say we whine about the Police being harassing folks of Color in a fancy car or being watched to be killed by a security watchman, which does happen all the time. And not all get killed due to the fact they assumed about the pound cake missing and ends up either being dead or in jail for a long time all because of the harassment of the badge. Now don’t get me wrong that there are good cops and bad cops. But there is one problem: the bad cops may have deep sense of hate.

In addition to the death of Heather Heyer, who was remembered today, there were two deputies whom were killed in the weekend, where was the “So-Called” Blues Lives Matter crowd at? And why wasn’t 45 acknowledging the families of the Troopers whom lost their lives that day? Have to bring this back: EPIC FAIL! Yep. And also you do realize that Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke has been mostly silent about this tragic thing in Charlottesville? Has not said a word. Typical. Earlier today, there were several companies under the then-President’s Manufacturing Council that pulled out due to this recent “Racist Manner” that Ol’ Donnie refused to acknowledge late. Oh, one the companies, Merck was one the companies in the Pharmacy business was pulled out and the head of the company is a black man of Kenneth Fraizer. Let that sink in. Plus other companies like: Under Armour, Out. You can pull out your Under Armour Sneakers and wear them. Other companies: 3M, GE, General Motors, and others – OUT! Again, all because in the wake of the Charlottesville Violence.

What also has been a red herring, I like everyone else, had been paying attention to these stories on how some the Alt-Right Protestors were being hounded by having their pictures shown and being distributed to the websites and social media. Well shiznit folks: let me break this down. If a picture gets photographed via the news media or newspaper or whatever news out there, it’s going to get published! And when it does get published, guess what? Everyone will see it! Even when your co-workers or bosses will know. Why? It’s everywhere! And when they see it, they will be asking questions of why you committed your time to contribute to this hateful thing of being out there with the “Alt-Right” trashing up the town. And don’t expect to get fired because you will.

Speaking of that, I have to go back to the year of 2010, which was 7 years ago. Remember Dresser Waukesha? Hmm…..Let’s revisit that:

Last year, I was a” hater victim of race” when there was a settlement case involving me and 390+ African Americans were denied of a company to get in – Dresser Waukesha. I was one of those who turned in a resume at a job fair in 2006, and never got a call back nor a letter response in the mail. Until August of 2010 came, I got this form in the mail along with a statement that the reason I didn’t get hired nor trained with Dresser Waukesha (see the file Waukesha_Third_Amended_Complaint) is because I happen to be African-American. So I filled out the form and mailed it. When October came, I went to my house and there was a check from the Reed vs Dresser Settlement, and I was awarded over $5000.00. And just recently, I was awarded over $200.00 additionally. And other African-Americans in the case probably got the same amount equally.

See what I’m getting at? Yep. I was disrespected in the Milwaukee area because of my race. And I’m sure that there are others that read this on the Journal Sentinel’s website said something like, “oh they’re crying out racism over a job they didn’t get”. They don’t know (I can’t say the word) about the horror we went through. So they don’t get it. And they never will get it. This is on-going thing here.

Remember when I wrote that? Its from the blog story that many of you read a lot, it’s the 2011 Blog about no surprise about Milwaukee and race. And many of the things I said back then still lingers today.

Now let me go back to a point, where was the issue of me being overqualified was problem in 2013:

I did say that I’ll write a blog about being overqualified. And what I’m about to reveal it right now. One day, I was on the LinkedIn website, and I was looking at jobs for the Greater Milwaukee Area. I chose the company to seek out, Brooksource, an IT Staffing Service. The company is based out of Indiana, but do have locations within the country. However, I put in a resume for a job of Corporate Recruiter and the ending result in the next couple of days: Overqualified.

I’m like: Overqualified?!! Really?!

I remember emailing the recruiter about asking why I was in the terms “overqualified”. The response was weak in terms of my diverse background experience. And also the company itself is very small. But likewise they also wish me well in my endeavors.

That what was said mostly. However, with a person like me being “OVERQUALIFED” is not acceptable. I want every company, every company like person, or any company man/woman ask a question:

Why do you not want those who are OVERqualified?

Why are you are afraid of potential candidates like me who have a diverse background experience? Or what, you’re thinking of me being greedy? What’s Up?!

Companies say all the time that they are looking for good people. WELL……..I am good person of hard work.

I also took a look why the word “overqualified” was a red flag for companies who are stuck up. According to the sources, either they don’t want you, you may want to quit for finding a better job for better pay, you’re too old, etc. Technically, that to me is nothing more being “discriminate”. And Brooksource SHOULD know better! I remember writing a letter to Brooksource’s Manager about the situation and I have yet to hear or see a response from the Manager.

In the pathway of me finding a job, specifically in Milwaukee, it’s either because of experience, because of my skin color (yep, I did mention Dresser Waukesha being discrimative against African-Americans) and now…..Overqualified.

Look, I’m about to turn 36 in December, and I thought I would never fit in with the “Overqualified Crowd”. I do realize that the companies are looking for the younger crowds to take over or to enhance work. I’m not against that. What I am against that companies using the “STUCK UP” crap, of not letting guys like me getting a chance to continue to shine up. No matter what.

Just another barrier just for folks like me to stay out. Sad.

This is not just a slap in the face towards me or others like me. And by the way, if you have been in the same boat as me being overqualified, you need to speak up. I don’t care if you write to the President, or your local officials who you voted to put in office. Now some are saying, “well that’s life. You get picked or you don’t.” I get that. However like the President said, in regarding Americans getting an opportunity: Everyone gets a fair shake!

Obviously, Brooksource DID NOT get the message. And with them being a small company in all, is no excuse! That is unacceptable.

Now why I would tie this in with the White Supremacy stuff that is going on like everyday? Then it hit me. Technically this is PART of White Supremacy! These stories that I pulled from the archives was a prime example of what is wrong in this country. Part of the matter is it’s all in the lining.

There are those probably in the Human Resources areas that don’t really care about applicants of color. No matter what type of experience, education, goal setting or purpose. Michael Jackson had a song back in 1995 that was called “They Don’t Really Care About Us!” I’m sure you have heard of it, right? And even though that the song had anti-Semitic lyrics, most of that was real talk. Which applies to something like we see now. For the jobs or companies which has these HR folks that refuse to hire black folks (again no matter the skill or education) it’s like what my mother said about the Dresser Waukesha thing of “Were not going to hire this black man, were going hire more of the White folks” routine. Heard of that? You should. And that seems that it’s going around and has been going around for a long time. I was reminded of that when listening to WNOV sevea per se about keeping people poor. They don’t want them working in freaking Brookfield or a certain zip code. What these companies might do and it has been done that they’ll look at the zip code you live in, and they’ll get all this data or info about the area and jobs with it. And usually they will look at that one thing you handed to them: your resume. The same resume that you sling out every time you go to the job fairs, or career expos. The same resume you bring when you go to the interviews or many others. Yes, that one. But now job developers and advisors are now telling job seekers to take off the address and zip codes due to this. Even you have to take off the year you got your degree from college due to a thing of AGE DISCRIMINATION! I learned this about two years ago. This White Supremacy thing is heck of a drug I’m telling you. And the thing is, it’s all over the place. Wanna keep things all white and nothing else. And many realize “oh, that’s why we talk about race”. Even though that many don’t want to admit it. The truth is: racism is in America’s DNA. I need you to hear me on this: It’s in the DNA! Or this thing called the bloodline. And many are telling us to “Get over it?”. To quote my Dad, that is out! Even my father once said that racism will still be around. Or this case, a factor of concern.

It’s not just about drugs. It’s not just about alcohol. It’s not about the looks you have on your body, or a certain credit score, or level of education, it’s really about the issue (the ongoing issue) of race. And the example has been escalated since last Saturday and Ol’ Donnie didn’t go hard enough. Many are saying that his family has ties to the KKK or somewhat related. What’s he hiding? CONFESS, DONNIE! You’re busted!

Next blog up: The Monuments are getting out. But the stories still remains.

Man, some of you NFL fans need to lighten up. Like really. All along we all know that the “blackballing” of Colin has reached it’s breaking point. Matter of fact it’s well passed that. By the time many read this, most of us will be looking at the games while many of you might be having a fit thinking of him getting a job. Who also didn’t vote up in 2016!

What is it about him looking for work when you have the average African-American Men and/or Women who are scrapping up work as in trying to find work EVERYDAY due to the hate of skin color or a dumb thing of credit reports? Explain that to me.

Last night, well this has nothing to do with this, but when the Packers started their Preseason, they didn’t started with Aaron Rodgers. Brett Hundley did. And he’s black.

So in that, there was his numbers or ratings being not up to par, an injury might have been a factor, and he had this theory of not getting resigned by the 49ers.

And oh, here comes the additional theories of not standing for the national anthem and assuming that the Stars and Stripes had or is oppressing black folks or POC’s. And many from the activists and even some of our Veterans stood in support of what he protested. You even had young Volleyball Black Players and Football Players of High School, kneeled. Plus a former pro Soccer player kneeled. And some of the WNBA players, kneeled. We all know. But was it worth it? But the person you copied of kneeling, didn’t even vote. That’s one of the reasons why the 45land leader is in office and it’s like a slap in the face! We know it is. And everything that 45 or ol’ Donnie is doing to reverse the policies and ideal decisions that President Obama did in his 8 years. That is a direct slap as well.

Folks are saying that Colin Kaepernick’s angle is in line with Rosa Parks, or Muhammad Ali. CALLOUT: I don’t think so. Colin Kaepernick will never be a Rosa Parks, or Muhammad Ali! We need to be clear! Never have, never will. What they did was real. Not all about me and disguising a theory about the flag in a wrong matter. But alas: Colin said that all his protest wasn’t about the flag, nor the military. It was really about addressing the injustice about the treatment that African-Americans get every single time. And the same treatment or treatments harbored us so many times and we know it. But many believe all that protesting is about him and not really much about others.

Now last year, I written a blog piece about the National Anthem in which I commented about Colin’s protest. Well here is a review:

Speaking of that: The Star Spangled Banner. The official theme song of America. For many many years, the anthem has been played, sung at events, played in solos and many others. And there were those got criticized of the Anthem being a disgrace to those serve in uniform. But I’ll say that the Anthem is good “on display”. But the author, Francis Scott Key that made the anthem in 1812, was also an owner of slaves! The third stanza in the Anthem, which no one hardly sings by the way, spells out as this:

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore

That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion

A home and a Country should leave us no more?

Their blood has wash’d out their foul footstep’s pollution.

No refuge could save the hireling and slave

From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave,

And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave

O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Well ladies and gents, let’s breakdown the meat of the third stanza. Now many are already saying that the stantza is racist. The words in the stanza: “No refuge could save the hireling and slave” some say that is so racist that it needs to be erased. But what did Francis Scott Key meant by this? Since he was a slave owner by the way.

  • The word Refuge means in dictionary terms as we know is related to Refugee, as being forced to cross national boundaries and cannot return home safely.
  • Hireling means: A person who works only for pay, especially in a menial or boring job, with little or no concern for the value of work. In a adjective sense: it also means serving for pay only, vernal, and mercenary. See that?

But when you put it all together in that ONE LINE: The Refugees of the slaves, our ancestors were forced in bondage, couldn’t return to Africa that had to be worked for menial jobs, with no concern for the work values of the jobs that was slave related. Henceforth: “No refuge could save the hireling and slave.”

Now that was last year, but this morning as I was listening to the radio , there was different definition about the use of words. “Hireling” in this sense was a reference to the British Soldiers and the “Slaves” was a reference to the American soldiers. There was a “stipulation” that if the slaves served under the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War, they would granted their freedom. Same as the side of the British. If the Black Slaves served under the British Crown, they would be granted their freedom. And also we know that Francis Scott Key was the composer of the Anthem, but according the radio broadcast, he was mad by getting beat by the black troops during the time period. To be clear, it was about another version of Black Power! You might listen to WNOV on the Tune-In App for that.

Now that might sound kind of strange but the thing is this version might be kind of stronger than the first definition we heard last year. Why haven’t we really heard the third stanza of the Anthem before in school?

EASY ANSWER: It was never taught to us! Just like in all the extensive history we are just now exploring about the nation and yes Black History. All that extensive history that we didn’t know about that we just found out on Social Media, IT WAS NEVER TAUGHT TO US! NOT ONE EXTENSIVE SUBJECT!

We can blame all the same old “they didn’t teach us this stuff in school in all” but you know whom I really blame in all of this? Read my lips: Blame the curriculum! The same curriculum that circulates all the lessons plans that many of the teachers will be getting for your kids in the fall.

*Sidenote: Milwaukee Public Schools will start school on August 14th and September 5th, and most schools will have Uniforms.

But seriously folks, NFL Fans: I hate to say this in all, but Colin Kaepernick is not going to save you. I hate to be a hater for the “Colin Worshipers” who was all flashy against the Packers, went to the Super Bowl against the Ravens and LOST in the blackout game in the Superdome. And a season later his numbers weren’t all to par, he was injured at one point prior, and he was 2-1 against the Packers in a game that the 49ers lost 17-3. I told you Niner Gang. All that flashy stuff came and went! He’s a heck of a ball player, and since the plays of the Pistol he started, guess what? Everyone is going to use it and rename it the Lombardi Cannon or whatever. And of course his chances of getting a job dwindled, plus having a fear of getting cut by the team, and what does he do in between: kneel before the flag during the national anthem. And again, he didn’t vote! And many of the fans whom are now just WOKE, we have a guy name of Ol Donnie in the White House. Let that sink in.

Instead of worrying about Colin and his job, again what about those who are still looking like crazy everyday? And other issues of healthcare, the economy, drinking water concerns, not enough support for the church, or many of the concerns that are more IMPORTANT about everyday values! Again, he is NOT here to save you!

Oh yes. I have to talk this. Really I have too.

I’m sure that many in America already knows about the deal that was signed when Foxconn, a Taiwan company that landed a deal that would boost Wisconsin’s job numbers concerning employment. We all know that when Scott Walker boasted a plan to have the 250,000 jobs to happen, actually DID NOT WORK. I told you so, Wisconsin. The same words, I told you so rang out so many times I can’t event count. And this was about 6 years ago. Now with the jobs for Foxconn according the sources that it would attract about 13,000 jobs. And it’s going to come to the area of Racine or Kenosha Counties. And just like Amazon, they will NOT come to the Milwaukee Metro Area. And the fact is that yes, when Foxconn inked the deal there had some concerns about also about the taxation part. This deal per se might cost us taxpayers to be on the hook for the next 15 years. How is this deal is going to be beneficial for taxpayers like me for the next couple of years?! Like really, Madison. Plus, Foxconn has been in bad blood in the last couple of years. To the residents of Pennsylvania, we have read about your dilemma about the plant that hasn’t been built. And many of us in Wisconsin are fully aware about it the promises that you were to be given, but didn’t work. And the result was bad broken politics. We get it.

I’ll bet many probably thought, really Wisconsin?! Have you been screwed up already? Oh and other thing, many think that this would seal up Scott Walker’s deal as a way to get reelected for 2018.

Now since the Foxconn company is coming to the state, what will become of us whom don’t have transportation to get to the jobs? We know that Amazon can’t do it alone, but many of us don’t have a jeep, a truck, a car, or a Go-Kart to get to Foxconn every day? Think about it. And what will the state black residents have a say in this?

Oh wait! We had an idea that was seemed very VERY interesting. It was a High Speed Rail Train that would have linked Milwaukee and Madison. You do remember that we HAD over 800 million dollars stacked up for the Talgo Trains and the jobs? Is all that memory coming back? And what did our glorious Governor Numb Nuts did with that money and the jobs and the trains? He gave it all away! The state got sued due to a breach of contact and it was THE biggest blunder ever! Wisconsin, you should have kept the trains. But you failed to follow the advice of Scott Walker. And those like Robin Vos and Alberta Darling. And did I mention that part of which of that dumb decision was geared towards racism? Let that sink in! After 6 years. That was also to help integrate the region. And many were worried that black folks would go to Jefferson County for coffee and donuts. Really?! And to do the math, Wisconsin’s black population is around 8%.

Oh, now that there is talk about using a Canadian Railway track to combine the Twin Cities, Milwaukee and Chicago for a Intercity Rail Route with Amtrak. That seems like an idea, but how is THIS is going to get paid? And the thing is, you got this Foxconn plant coming up, and they need some kind of transportation for Freight and also what about those who don’t drive, that live in far places, how are they are going to get to work? You see what I’m saying? Yeah let that REALLY sink in! And now Walker wants a train! So hypocritical.

Our Republican state hood “friends” really messed up. They realized it. Talgo at the time could have benefited ALOT of jobs. I visited the Talgo plant 5 years ago in the black community in the 2700 block at Townsend Street area, and wanted to see the HSR trains up close. They were good. With all the digital stuff and everything. Plus they worked hard on them! Our people. And the State shamefully gave it all up. All because they thought the tax payers would be on the hook for the vehicles. Or the personal favorite: boondoggles! “No one will ever ride it.” Um………you really think that Badger State? Better change your tune and repent. I hear mostly about the value of the trains on Black Radio like WNOV than 620 WTMJ or 1130 WISN. And let remind our Republican fans, not many in the state doesn’t have their own transportation! And Foxconn wants in. We’re unprepared. Matter of fact were unprepared in getting some of the highways and roads done. Which was LOOOONG talked about for years! Let that also sink in! Why you asked? Too many dang politics messing up. And dang is not a bad word.

At least the Milwaukee Streetcar is still on point.

All of this in my view needs the reexamination of what we really want to have in the state. And of course there will be questions. Like already as I speak, Foxconn is already being talked about but it should be talked about more in the areas of Milwaukee’s north side that can get more insight about what is going on. Especially when the state’s transportation system is on one leg losing to political standpoints so many times over!

For the 4 nights, the History Channel has been showing the revamped and still traditional version of Roots. The still saga of Alex Haley’s novel that has been read by generations of folks. If you are so way younger than me, you might not know what I’m talking about. Go to the library, or Amazon, or B&N Bookstore to get the book. Oh while you’re at it, buy the DVD’s.

For the four nights, we’ve seen all four parts of this thing, and even though that this wasn’t the original that came out after the year of my birth, the story of parallels with Kunta Kinte, Kizzy, Chicken George and others had not left. Us older cats we know the story like clockwork. Many of us can relate in some sort of way of the heartbreak of slavery, being separated from families, and being shackled, branded, whipped, controlled and many other horrible actions. We already know. But some of us, needed a constant reminder that these words of “The Struggle Continues”.  Does that ring a bell?

Now there are those had to argue that this reboot is not necessary. No need for it. But then again there are those feel is necessary because when the original came out, you millennials weren’t born! Sorry to say it. But now since you’ve gotten your firepower and advice from us proud Generation X Folks, you also have to be advised of this stuff is.  Some of you probably got the message. But others, have you?

I really hope that this “Roots Reboot” or the second format has you on your thinking skills that it’s not all glamour and glitzy. Many of our people had through pain and discomfort and split up from the ashes. This is no romance novel! This is a lesson that probably needed to be retold to every generation of black folks. Like what our grandparents and your great great greats have done for years! Don’t trip on this.

Now I know that many don’t like the reboot. Particularly one individual in mind: Snoop Dogg. Don’t get me wrong, I may like some of his swagger, and his younger cousin Sasha Banks is a great Women’s Wrestler, but here is one thing I have to say that his “opinionated commentary”, was for the birds.

Look here, you got a guy here had females with dog collars on for a show, blunts, gang past, making porn for flicks, oh don’t forget that when Pac and Suge Knight were examined after Las Vegas, everyone was like 20 years ago: Snoop better watch himself! This was way after Death Row records was very examined. Even after Tupac’s death.

But his recent rant is about the Roots reboot, and making a statement of protest. And some are saying that he’s thinking what everyone is thinking. All over Facebook and Social Media, I see this alot: WE’RE TIRED OF SLAVE MOVIES!!!!

CALLOUT: I need to ask and excuse my French: Who in the hell is WE?!! WE Who?!

I’m not on this so called “we” bandwagon here.

And alot of folks went after Roland Martin the way he after Snoop. If you missed what he said, go on his Twitter Time Line, or his Facebook Page. And folks called him a Coon. Wow black folks. I think the reason being, because Roland told the truth. Speaking of that, check this. Please check this!

In the words of Homer Simpson: “And that is that.”

Or was it? Some of the critics had to pop off at the mouth. Again!

And all the folks kept talking about these Hidden Colors movies that came out. Personally, I have not seen not one Hidden Colors movie documentary or whatever you call it. From what I’ve heard, it supposed to be this real truth documentary about what the history books or religion, or historical aspects didn’t tell you growing up. Are there other Black documentaries that tell you that?

Everybody on Facebook and Instagram or Twitter  is like: “watch Hidden Colors!” Or “Hidden Colors is the truth!”

Really?

If Hidden Colors is supposed to be this “truth of black viewpoints”, and if so vital, who funds the movie rights? Who funds “Hidden Colors” to be this “truth teller?”  And if “Hidden Colors is so cool right now, where I can I find it on Cable or Satellite? Like IFC? or some Independent Channel? Or matter of fact, has the AMC or Marcus Theaters, Black Owned Theaters, or a Budget Theater ever have SHOWN “Hidden Colors?” Don’t worry I’ll wait! Bring it.

The way folks parading around Hidden Colors online like a mean switch off the tree. That to me is like I’m being forced to watch it. Don’t call me a hater! For all you “Hidden Colors” fanatics that thrive on the flicks, I have an open REAL challenge for you: Provide me a CLEAR, CONCISE, and REAL SUMMARY about why I should watch it. Don’t give all the ghetto/slang opinionated thoughts! I’m too grown for that. Be real about it. Beat by beat. That is your homework assignment!

Everybody in the Black Community is saying like:

We are tired of slave movies!

I don’t hear the Jewish folks saying they are tired of the Holocaust. What do they say? Never forget. Sound familiar? I don’t hear none of our Chinese brothers and sisters hollering at what happened in June of 1989. Let me paint a picture for this: Tiananmen Square. Remember that? When that protest happened, and that one dude got ran over by a tank in Beijing? Hmm…….no complaints about that being forgotten. Everyone else has had problems with some sort of human erradication has never forgotten the pain nor feeling about the incidents. Even though it has not happened to them per se.

But when it come to our Black Concerns of Slavery or Black Dilemma, we’ve been told to forget about it. Get over it. Or in this case with Snoop: “F-Roots!” “F-Slavery!” “We need to show the positive stuff of what is going on with our people now!” I hate to say with all due resepct to Calvin Broadus, although it’s vital we need to show our black folks all the positive stories, WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET WHAT GOT US HERE! EVEN if it’s lynchings, slavery, racism, sexism or many other isms that is indeed slavery related! Paritially in the mini series, there were some Africans that did captured the folks and put them on the ships. Bet folks didn’t see that.

Again: same slogan of complaint, “We are tired of slave movies!” Guess what I’m tired of? Let me count the ways.

  • I’m tired of folks whom look like me being the enemy.
  • I’m tired of black women at times saying that all black men at Sh…..You know I don’t use that word.
  • I’m tired of all the whining that most are getting out of Milwaukee because of the violence, but knowning that VIOLENCE IS EVERYWHERE!
  • And I’m definintely tired of the whining of those who keep voting up for the candidate of choice and complain!
  • I’m tired of folks especially telling black men to go to the Doctor! WE KNOW!
  • I’m tired of those who feel to have this “High School Attitude” that they think they are still fresh like high school. Won’t work honey!
  • I’m tired of the Extroverted folks ALWAYS getting on the case of the Introverted being quiet. And having to apologize for it.
  • I’m tired of white folks telling black folks to “get over it.” When the talk of slavery happens. WHY?
  • I’m tired of the almost 70% black women that are still single with a mean streak of saying there are no good black men.
  • I’m tired of folks telling black folks that we aren’t enough. WE ARE ENOUGH!
  • I’m tired of folks who pass up their lineage of history. Family History. Am I right black folks? We do it to ourselves sometimes!
  • I’m tired of companies passing up applicants whom got all the credentials the right way, then hired the young hot chick or dude with NO EXPERIENCE!
  • I’m tired of companies who don’t accept new talent but make it harder for those to apply!
  • I’m tired of companies that don’t retain as much for seasoned vets that wants to learn and become viable! Like learning new technology over 40 without being kicked off.
  • I’m tired of companies judging folks because of their credit reports!
  • I’m tired of these job developers telling folks “you better not come back here if you can’t find a job” like 2004. Remember that Milwaukee Urban League?!
  • I’m tired that single folks are getting the shock treatment of pressured being married.
  • I’m tired of the old school traditional folks, thinking that distance education doesn’t work. It worked for me!
  • I’m tired of looking at all the bad stats about Milwaukee on Facebook. Um, what is the solution?! I’ll wait!
  • I’m tired of folks who don’t vote.
  • I’m tired of Scott Walker and the republicans coming up with all these stupid laws to get us afraid.
  • I’m tired of companies that don’t hire, or train, or retain African-American workers.
  • I’m tired of the folks saying the chruch is full of hyprocrites. Have you checked your hangouts and jobs for hyprocrites? They got them too!
  • I’m tired of all these Carjackings in Milwaukee now. Everytime I hear about these stories, reminds me of my late cousin Adrian Drew being killed all over again!
  • I’m tired of these Animal Activists praising the memory of Harambe the Gorilla, but not the child that was not harmed.
  • I’m tired of all the talk and no bark!
  • I’m tired of all this stuff that single folks are lonely. We’re not!
  • I’m tired of phone numbers calling you and they are scamming your money!
  • I’m tired of folks whom should feel about looking at the movies that it’s all flashy.
  • I’m tired of all the mess that our schools/colleges are getting into.
  • I’m tired of all the mess that churches have to deal with. And I’m not talking about the what goes on the inside!
  • I’m tired of those who think that Black Lives Matter is a farce.
  • I’m tired of fake memes on social media that makes no sense. I went there!
  • I’m tired of all the mess that neighborhoods and cities that must deal with violence and break ins!
  • I’m tired what I can’t watch and read in my own home, but I’ll do it anyway.
  • I’m tired of collection agencies harrasing folks for money.
  • I’m tired of family members putting you down and thinking you’re sensitive!
  • And the lasting thing I’m tired of: no love for ourselves. Yeah I said it!

That is what I’m tired of!

Even the devil getting busy in our minds to corrupt our communites!

Shall I go on?

Like my mother used to say I’ll give you something to cry about! Many are tired of all the slave movies. But I’m tired too. Of something else. Learn that, Snoop fans.

Folks have been saying also: what about the movies before slavery? You all better get onboard. I’ll bet many have been saying that for a long time. Which is nothing new. And I’ll bet there is a director, or producer, or writer that is somewhat is getting ideas to write about someone from that era that was before slavery. So is this will make thousands happy? Or in this case, will this be satisfied? Or better yet will all those whom are VERY CONSCIOUS will finally put their MONEY where their mouths are to support?

I got five words for that: Put up or Shut up!

Got it?

Fa’ Shizzle!

Well there you go Wisconsin.

I am so laughing at all the folks who voted up for Scott Walker.

I am laughing at you!

Your pick to retain the Wisconsin’s Chair just single gave away another job opporutnity that could benefited this whole state. No, I’m not talking about the High Speed Rail and KRM Commuter Rail Projects. He’s already guilty of those. What I am referring to is the refusal and rejection of the proposed Hard Rock Hotel Casino Project in Kenosha. This reminds me of something at the end of 2014 when I asked the question of my WordPress Blog of Review. Where I scratched my head so many times and really had to bust out the real questions in asking?

Let me refresh the memory: Oh, is the State of Wisconsin really serious about bringing the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to Kenosha?

Well just today, that question has been answered with a no. And many guesses that Walker had to listen to the folks in Iowa in due for his so-called run to be the next President of the United States. Oh, and plus he believed that it would be very heavy on the taxpayers and plus have the nerve to blame Former Governor Jim Doyle. SERIOUSLY! Jim Doyle has been out of office since 2011 and Governor Numb Nuts (yeah I’m saying it!) believes he’s still around causing mess. No, from the very start, Mayor Tom Barrett did say hang on to your hats! He’s right! If any Wisconsinite DID NOT listen to the warning of Tom Barrett then apparently the memo didn’t get through to some or many brain dead Badger residents who feel Walker is a God. Personally, Scott Walker IS NOT A GOD! And this “Governor” also recently that made it clear about those who are unemployed or going through unemployment must go through drug testing. Get the Urine Samples out now. Now I know many of you probably read this blog and didn’t believe a word I said that this would happen, guess what: It’s time to fess up! If many of the Wisconsin Residents had VOTED MORE in 2014, we would not be in this mess. But now, you stayed home. Worried about your Music, your guns, your sport tickets, or maybe just too much big words. Oh yeah I’m going there! Over and over again, Elections have Consequences! They do. Plus also Polarized Politics (and sometimes Segregated Communities) can be a dangerous mix. Even as dangerous as the Flu in Wisconsin. Many of you voted up for Walker. And this is what you get.

CALLOUT: I thought “Wisconsin is open for business.” Is it really?

Maybe Wisconsin is open for business, but certain restrictions needed to apply.

And the decision made is another example why Wisconsin can’t really get out of the funk of rejecting this and that. Oh what, is gambling a considered boondoggle? And word also that Potawatomi Hotel and Casino tipped off Walker the warning.

Now those who were wondering, what kinds of jobs would have benefited from this casino project? Via the source from Casino Kenosha Website:

Jobs & Economic Impact
The Kenosha entertainment center and casino will create more than 3,300 good-paying jobs with benefits for local residents, and indirectly support another 1,800 local jobs. On top of that, just building the facility will create more than 1,400 family-sustaining construction jobs. Those 6,500 jobs go a long way toward helping fulfill Governor Walker’s goal of creating creating 250,000 new jobs in the Badger State.

Additionally, the Kenosha casino will make more in state and local government payments than any other Wisconsin company or Tribe – essentially, it will be the State of Wisconsin’s largest taxpayer. Agreements in place with the City of Kenosha and Kenosha County will also benefit local schools, cultural institutions and nonprofits.

Plus the Menominee Nation commented the “ultimate decision” of Scott Walker.

“It is with great disappointment that I relay the message I received minutes ago from the Wisconsin Secretary of Administration, Mike Huebsch. Governor Walker will be announcing shortly his decision to say no to our Kenosha Casino proposal.

“It is our belief that this project would have improved the lives of the nearly 9000 members of the Tribe. Instead, one Tribe – the Forest County Potawatomi and one goal of Governor Walker – the Presidency has led to a no for our people.

“The Tribe and our partners at Hard Rock International will meet in the next few days to discuss any options we have. Until then – we must remember all the Menominee Nation has overcome in more than 10,000 years – we will continue to thrive as a Nation and will continue to be honorable partners for Indian Tribes in Wisconsin and around the Nation.”

Well, there it goes, Walker fans. All those times I’ve said this in the past, and I’m saying it now: I told you so! And on the flipside, what is Iowa saying to tell Walker to reject the casino? Oh that’s right…..Scott Walker is hinting a run. A Presidential Run for the White House in 2016. I have message for America: DO NOT PICK SCOTT WALKER! For all those “Republicans” who don’t follow Walker and don’t like his ideas or policies, put him on BLAST! I dare you. Put Scott Walker on blast on everything he says and does between now and 2016. I know many of you probably won’t do it. But I’m daring you. No, I’m double dog daring you!

Now I want to direct my attention to the Menominee Tribe in trying to get this Hard Rock Hotel and Casino going. First, I feel you. Really I do. I think you worked very hard for the last couple of years or more just trying to get this off the ground. Yes, I’m not a gambler. And yes I have been to Hard Rock Cafes in New York, Detroit, and Orlando. Speaking of that: I think since this project had been declared dead by Scott Walker, try a plan B. In which, that Wisconsin could use an opportunity to build more Hard Rock Cafes! Build them in Kenosha, Madison, Green Bay, Racine, and mainly the Metro Area of Milwaukee. It’s time I think that Hard Rock Cafe (not the casino or hotel) needs to start up in Wisconsin in terms of future economic growth and get more jobs for those looking for one than the same old mess we’ve been going through since. I say this as a resident and plus I’m saying this as an African-American. This cancellation of the Hotel and Casino really reflects on why Wisconsin cannot get ahead due to blatant polarized politics of the state! And even the fear of competition of Potawatomi Hotel and Casino, and even others of Oneida and Ho-Chunk. That’s my statement. Fight on if you must, but always remember that there is always a “PLAN B!”

And hopefully that Plan B alone can be better for many employment hungry Wisconsinites (even of African Decent) to partake in.

Mark it down. January 21st will be D-Day for the Milwaukee Common Council in which they will vote Yea or Nay in regarding the Milwaukee Streetcar Project. Yes, it’s still a hot potato in which many might rock it or drop it. I think those who rock it, in a sense could lead to additional opportunities to jobs in which the city has been preaching forever! And those who like to “drop it” in terms of it being racist, a thing of waste, and also as I put it in my last blog, “Conflicted Viewpoints” among those who are angry and  protesting in disgust. However, my viewpoint is for one thing, and one thing only: Employment Opportunities to the next level. Not just about the routes, times, or highly concerned options. The main focus IS JOBS! PERIOD! So for that, I present this blog letter to the council.

And if those who are apart of the Milwaukee Common Council that uses WordPress, share this before voting!

Dear Milwaukee Common Council:

It’s me Stephen. Obviously, I’m a black blogger in the city by hobby.

It’s seems that you have a big decision to make in terms of the Milwaukee Streetcar Project. But before you make your decision of cost, structure, construction, and many other factors of human emotion and misguided dialogue: hear me on this of why it should matter to the additional construction ideas in Milwaukee. I often blog about Milwaukee being as a “tail-end”city. What I mean by that is, it’s always behind. And most recently, it’s also stuck in the word of “Can’t”. Twice as most of you are aware, we came so close with the previous projects that would have linked our City with Madison with High Speed Rail and not to forget another one: The KRM Commuter rail that would have linked Kenosha, Racine and Milwaukee to get to those unreachable places for those looking for work. Of course! We also have problems with the violence, with potholes, housing, and many other factors that needs attention. Even yes, addressing the ongoing saga of the death of Dontre Hamilton, in which his brother Nate used a platform on WNOV to speak out against the Milwaukee Streetcar in relation to get justice. And additionally with the saga of the Republican-like organizations of Citizens for Responsible Government and this recent United For Milwaukee forged by Alderman Davis and Donovan. These I think are factors of examples of just trying to keep Milwaukee held back.

I’m sure you’ve heard and/or stood on the platform of all this.

But now, here is my only reason of the project: Four letters here – J-O-B-S! I like many others have been saying and commenting and blogging about the need of jobs in the City. I’m coming at this from a general standpoint. We need more “improved and never seen before can do jobs” in Milwaukee! I feel that it’s high time that this city needs to start playing more poker of new things that seemed daring to compete. I’m not just talking about against other cities, but we really need to step our game up for the future. Recently, the Mayor said that he’s betting on the future. And I hope all 15 of you are betting on the future as well. Yes, we still live in a segregated climate where mostly of my ethnicity of African-Americans are somewhat considered a suspect to death! Yes, we have other factors that might believe that Milwaukee is a wrong choice for jobs when it comes to skills, experience, residence (especially for those who are black job seekers) and many other factors combined. And I’m sure many of you, recently viewed the news out of California in their debut of the Bullet Train for their state. They stuck with their idea (along with Wisconsin’s part of the HSR money) built it, and it’s fully operational to get from Point A to Point B. They dared, they built it, and it’s arrived.

For all 15 of you and this Streetcar thing, yes I know many of you don’t like the idea. And there are those who favor the plan that it should move forward. And there are those who are undecided. I believe it should move forward to get something started. You see, I’m a job seeker for better employment, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from UW-Stout, and I think this project with my college background skills should favor and interest me. I studied Occupational Safety/Loss Control, Strategic Management, Engineering Economy, Project Management, Statistics, Product Inventory and Control, just to name a few. And I feel it should be an investment not just the talk of wasteful government spending as the detractors put it. And definitely not controversial.

Clearly, I feel this should be a new investment to get this city going. And if  it’s not the investment of whatever, then Common Council: what is YOUR plan for the absence of the project? I don’t want to hear the same plans that have been burned out for the last 15 – 20+ years! I want to see NEW PLANS, NEW IDEAS, NO CONTROVERSIAL OVERALL EMPLOYMENT CAREER PLANS for this City! And unlike Alderman Joe Davis, it should NOT be racist or immoral but should effect those who are citizens of color looking for work.

And I hope that it should sink in for this vote next week after or maybe on the King Holiday.

So this is where I stand: I support the idea of the Milwaukee Streetcar for a new improved, fresh out of the box employment plans for the future. This is my reason and my reason only. There are other reasons, but I choose this reason to get things started. It doesn’t matter if it’s downtown or midtown, or uptown, this city as medium as is, needs something to think about. And do! This is my opinion and statement.

Sincerely,

Stephen

Note to all Facebook users:

I need to you to do one thing and one thing only, can you please not comment your Social Security Number on your group pages?!!!

I’m on the news feeds recently and in one of the groups, someone put up a meme per say in regarding this – “Comment below with your Social Security Number.”

Somebody must be real dumb! Really?!!!

Why would someone want to do that.? Don’t those realize that whoever puts out their Social Security Number in the Public or Private groups puts them in danger. And don’t forget about all those Identify Thefts going around that some can put your identity at risk. HELLO?!!!

I think it’s high time that many on the social media stuff need to realize that there are certain things that are imporatnt to your identity should not be shown up on your facebook wall. I mean who am I kidding? Why would you share your social security number with those you don’t know? I know what those are thinking like, “We do it all the time with jobs…..” yes but this is no job offer. Again it’s about setting up folks to get robbed.

Where’s the like button for that?!

And plus this goes for Instagram too!

Three way dance time! Time to start the gaggles.

First: Can someone in America, or in Wisconsin tell me why Scott Walker deserves a spot on Time Magazine’s 100 influential people list?

Excuse me! Why does a guy like him who opposes High Speed Rail by refusing the rail money in a fashion of leading to more segregation, bragging about the 250,000 jobs which I don’t see happening,  slashing education, the Act 10 crap, the racists emails, and some of his staff members when doing time for Milwaukee County during his run for governor are in jail, and most recently, trying to curb voting rights and hours which mostly Minorities would be effected. I don’t care if you live in Milwaukee,  Madison,  Waukesha, or freaking up north that doesn’t have much black folks, you tell me, why does Scott Walker, this shameful Governor of Wisconsin, whom I didn’t voted up for,  deserves a spot on the Time Magazine 100? Personally, that is a mistake. More like tainted! I would prefer Senator Lena Taylor or Alderwoman Milele Coggs in the Time Magazine 100 list than Scott Walker anyday. Many in America had a somewhat man crush for a guy like Walker who doesn’t have a college degree now wanting to go UW to cover up his dropping out from Marquette, should not have been chosen to be on the list. Oh many in America are probably saying “Walker is a hero for Wisconsin!”- OH HUSH!  If he is really a hero, what has he done for the minorities who are struggling in Wisconsin? In terms of jobs, healthcare, transportation, education and many other needy factors? What was Chris Christie thinking in choosing Scott Walker than his own problems with the bridge in the NY/NJ Tri-State area? Plus also, what has Scott Walker done to appease to the African-American folks in Wisconsin that he’s not a bad person in regards. CLEARLY: Walker has been and is BAD NEWS! And America, if you think he deserves a spot on the national stage of trying to become President instead of appearing in a Sesame Street commercial, you must have left over blunts from Easter Sunday 4/20!  And this is the same Scott Walker, that gave his State of the State Speech this year, and made NO (and I repeat) NO references about Milwaukee. And also this is the same guy that once said “We don’t want to look like Milwaukee.” Yeah, that guy! And again, you tell me, a black man that is Milwaukee born and raised, that comes from a lineage of educators, workers, union folks, business owners, and etc why this Governor was hand picked to be on the 100 list of Time Magazine?! With all the problems going on in Wisconsin, I think the Walker faithful needs to have a reality check through the eyes of the minorities, especially black folks who are going through the struggle. And no, it’s not a smoke screen. Nor laziness. And no it’s not one of those things that might say, oh why they are so like that?

Speaking of that: Cliven Bundy. What is up with this dude?

This guy has been in the support eyes of the Republican/GOP Faithful for the last few days, then all of a sudden: SHUTDOWN! I don’t know why I’m giving him a time of day, but however, since he’s making a fool of himself on national TV with his racist remarks about African-Americans, Slavery and blaming Martin Luther King for not doing enough, he’s full of it! Now he’s saying that MLK didn’t do enough. If he (King) hadn’t got assassinated in April of 1968, he would be still doing more to help move this country to it’s inner prosperity. But naw……he had to get shot in Memphis. Bundy ought to know this from fact and fiction. Bundy, like another type of folks, wanted to use King as this warm fuzzy dude for peace and justice. But he totally forgot as well as many others that King was a radical and revolutionary in the backbone of his movement for civil rights. Can anyone in Nevada or in America tell Cliven Bundy that?  And also were does he get about African Americans benefited from Slavery? The same type of slavery that had my ancestors bought off, sold, torn apart, through extortion, not knowing who or what, forced into new type of environment of religion, land, names, origins and many others who often said get over it. That right there is a slap in the face! Slavery was and is a controversial criminal act. Even John Wesley, the founder of Methodism and a white British man, called Slavery inhumane. We talk slavery today through human trafficking. But no one wants to talk about it thinking we gotten over it. And Cliven had to bust out with the Negro comments. Ummm…..what year is this again? If he knew better we say either BLACK or AFRICAN-AMERICAN now in this era.

I SAY B.S.

If slavery in America has been long forgotten then like I said, explain Human Trafficking in which you have women being forced against their will. Remember when those three women who were abducted in Cleveland for 10 years and no one knew what happened? But after enduring 10 years of being held captive against their will, they were let go and rescued. It does exist folks. Now he wants to apologize to those he offended. Really Cliven Bundy? In a state that abolished slavery? Even Bill Maher has called him out on this as well as the Republican mindest:

Finally, how many of us seen this?

Donald Sterling an NBA Owner of the Los Angeles Clippers has issues with African-Americans. I had to listen to the entire 9:00 conversation with his viewpoints. Black folks: this is what he thinks about you. Especially all you young bucks, and those who think that there is no real racism, it’s a post racial society, we got a black president and yada, yada, yada. I hate to say this, and I said it many times before, WE DON’T live in a post racial society. I don’t see no utopias! Where’s the Utopia? Where?! In church? An office setting? A theater? A Club? Somebody better tell me something! Matter of fact, that can’t be commented. Think about it. And here is thought, since Donald Sterling has a hate on Black folks, why does he have more black folks on his squad of the Clippers? What is going through the minds of Chris Paul or even Blake Griffin? Now he doesn’t want his girlfriend  VStiviano,  (who happens to be mixed as Mexican and Black),  to bring any black folks to the Clippers games. REALLY?! Right now the LA Clippers are in the playoffs. If they get beat in the series, that might be an omen of another discussion on Race. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Chris Paul talks about it. I’m taking bets. Now this story has broken though Facebook like an Iron Fist. Partially, the history of this hate, goes back to over 30 years ago.

http://deadspin.com/your-complete-quotable-guide-to-decades-of-donald-sterl-1568047212

This dude clearly has issues. And plus even today, Earvin Magic Johnson has made this decree via twitter:

TMZ reported this morning that Clippers owner Donald Sterling doesn’t want me or other African-Americans to come to Clippers games.

. and I will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner.

I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans.

LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s comments about African Americans are a black eye for the NBA.

And also, if you see these fools on Twitter saying this mess:

54m   well, you have aids.. its different
56m   maybe cause you’re infected? Not cause of your skin color? Hmm

PUT THESE FOOLS ON BLAST! PUT THEM UP ON BLAST NOW!

Talk about ignorance and stupidity. Yo, we got your names and your twitter handles. And plus what they just said can’t be taken back. Who are the fools, Cliven Bundy’s relatives?! Or the long lost cousins of Donald Sterling?

Remember what I said that we don’t live in a post racial society? Um, hello Utopia lovers! It ain’t happening! In regarding about AIDS, if you aren’t so educated to make some dumb remarks behind the computer, then you don’t have no common sense. They are as I what I call are “pathetic stupid cowards”. That’s all they are! All brave infront of a screen, but away from the screen with your picture on it, you’re just shaking in your boots!

I’m done with these fools for now. But the struggle to decode White Supremacy in America continues. And that has nothing to do with being an American citizen. NONE!

Oh, for those who are still trying to be reflective: Read the Willie Lynch Letter from 1712. I’m just saying. What is going on now with race in America concerning black folks is a repeat that happened in a mind set from 300+ years ago. College Students, Alumni, High School, Church (especially our white church folk) better study up and read this letter.

What’ll You’ll Have?

Back in 1996, the City of Milwaukee lost one of the best beer makers in history, Pabst Blue Ribbon. It was one of the final death blows in the city and many jobs at the time were just lost. Now if those what happened to the old brewery complex, it’s still standing. But however years later, it was in a debate whether to turn it towards an entertainment complex, like the House of Blues. IT ALMOST HAPPENED! But however after lengthy debate, it is now called The Brewery in the old Pabst Complex of Office Space and Apartments. The idea for that to happen was the late, Joseph J. Zilber’s thought to do something different with the site. He was a Milwaukee born resident, a Philanthropist that donated his time and effort to causes for the City.

Now it’s been 18 years since the city lost Pabst for California and in this recent news, the offer has sparked between 500 – 1 billion dollars to buy the old school brew. Some of the offers have stepped up, and here in Milwaukee, a grassroots element has reared up for PBR to come back where it all started. The only thing that sees Pabst the most in Milwaukee is the Pabst Mansion. And the Pabst Theater. That’s it. But not the actual product that makes the beer for games and celebrations. If indeed an offer where Pabst actually comes home, the situation might be different. An idea has been thought of being it part of community ownership, sort of like the Green Bay Packers. The Packers don’t have an lone owner, but the whole town owns the team. And that same ownership partially does imply that the team stays where it started. That model is what the group in Milwaukee would like to do with Pabst Blue Ribbon. But in this instance in a new way of grassroots. Plus also, it attracted a individual who happens to be a decedent of Frederick Pasbt, Bridget Byrnes, the great-great-granddaughter of the founder.

Already according to their website, it has two petitions addressed to the City of Milwaukee, and also the current owner of Pabst, Dean Metropoulos in attempting to get the company back to Milwaukee. Now where it might go? I can see the Offices for the corporate side go into the complex to have that Headquarter feel to the company. For the brewery itself, either the complex can reactivate the old hops per say in the old complex or maybe build a brand new generational complex near the south-side of the city for enough space to make the beer. Or since Pabst Farms is in the state, maybe build it on the area of the sector of the establishment. But where it may go and if it does reach within the Southeast part of Wisconsin it would set a new generated stake in the claim for Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and also the Midwest. We know that MillerCoors is running the show, but if Pabst does make a “Midwest Comeback”, the old beer wars in Milwaukee might just resurrect.

Like I said, I’m not a beer drinker. But if Pabst does make a claim to comeback for community dollars, community ownership and also jobs  with it, let me say yes: PBR ME! ASAP!

So for those who would like to see that happen, in regarding Pabst to get back home to Milwaukee per say, sign the petitions online via the website: http://bringpbrhome.com/

And if those are on Facebook, check out the page: “Milwaukee Should Own Pabst Blue Ribbon”,  and by the statistics thus far, it’s rising.

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2014-The year of the Horse

It’s another year. Another time to run the gambit. Another chance to resolve. Now, let me do the “Traditional Stephen’s Spot” listing of things that I want to see and don’t want ever see again in 2014. Seven to see, and seven I don’t want to see!  So here we go:

image

For the seven I want to see:

1) I want to see more job opportunities for us Americans. Especially African-Americans who are still struggling to find work. And also since the Affordable Care Act is in effect, get checked!!! No more waiting around to see if your existing condition or physical is non negotiable. Just saying. In regarding work, Milwaukee NEEDS MORE CAREERS  THAN JOBS that can stick! We know that Wisconsin is a Work at Will state meaning that your job could be gone like in 3 weeks or 3 months. Get a Career that can stick on you for 15 – 20 years to help to pay off a Student Loan Debt.

2) I want to see more chance of citizens to get active. Not just on a “seasonal effect.” But everyday. Like getting folks out to vote, perhaps? Or better yet, get your relatives together and do some stuff. Family meetings, trips, outings or many other things you haven’t tried.

3) If you going to use “your” in your sentence: CORRECTLY USE IT! Especially those who use Social Media. I mean many of the spellings need to be screaming to say, you need to go back and relearn how to spell! Jeez!

4) If those on the Hyper Sensitive Side thinks that certain things or objects will bother them, in the year of what they don’t understand: Heed my advice – Please, and I mean this in a sense of understanding: GET YOUR LIFE! I don’t have to like what story or topic that is not pleasing to me, I use the K.I.M. effect. As in Keep It Movin.  Can that be done? I don’t care if it’s Technology, or what was said on Facebook, or what was indicated in the past. Or maybe what could have been. I know that the ghosts of the past might play a role of barriers, but still move on it! Ain’t nobody got time for hyper sensitiveness! I’m just saying! Word to those who are “GHOST FOLLOWERS” if someone on a list is criticizing you or a group of you that is hating you that you don’t show your pics public on platforms like Instagram or Pinterest, I’m just saying: Check them out first, and if you like what they display, then you can like and show! And if not, move forward. That’s right I said it! And furthermore, what is a Ghost Follower, anyway?!! School me on that.

5)  The Black Clubs of Milwaukee must stand up to the intolerance of racial angles from those who think the clubs are for those who shoot up and get drunk. 2013 was one of those years that it was talked about. Let 2014 start a new fire to strike back for the clubs in the brew city.

6) VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!!!!!!  2014 is a Midterm Voting year. If those of us were sick and tired of the “Tea Party Tidalwave” from 2010-2011, get out and vote. Even though that Obama is not on the ballot, but your Aldermans, Mayors, or yet Governors are on the ticket for their jobs. Wisconsin: if you don’t like Scott Walker – GET HIM OUT! Have that “Anybody but Walker” on your mindset when going to the polls this year.  This part is for America only.

7) Come up with new stuff.  I mean that is an ongoing thing. Help out your Alumni groups of forming new ideas. Along with churches. 2014 maybe one of those years that changes could happen upfront. Or take time.  Or get this: If you like your Zodiac side to get acquainted, get involved with a gathering locally. Doesn’t have to be your zodiac season, but it could be fun to have an All Zodiac Day in your city. For example, If the Sagittarius folks in Milwaukee can get together and hook up for an event along with Leos and Aries, call it a Fire Zodiac Sign event! I’m just saying. Think about it! And if you are a type to get the party started for a dance, get the crowd pumped up. Ain’t nothing wrong with it. I know the Grown and Sexy folks do it alot, but these young Thundercats?!!! Y’all better learn! Plus also if a person or persons on Social Media says F—-your Christmas or whatever, take the highroad and say, peace and blessings. It’s not a sign of disrespect. Jeez! Don’t hate on a guy or group just because THEY Had a Christmas Season party and you didn’t. Maybe……you know what: I will be addressing this more. In another blog story.

NOW: The things I don’t want to see in 2014:

8) If the issue of Racism is on the table, don’t assume it’s a thing to say “Oh, I’m colorblind, it’s a post-racial society”. I don’t see no utopias!

9) Only for Milwaukee: We have this reputation of there’s nothing to do. WELL FIND SOMETHING TO DO! OR MAKE SOMETHING TO DO! As long as it keeps you here, it matters. We know Milwaukee has a high rep of being a Segregated City, and folks leave out in droves. But for those of us who are here, fight back!

10) I don’t want to hear officials to call into radio stations to “Tone it down.” If you hear that, they are WAY TOO SENSITIVE! Don’t listen! And I don’t want to see nor hear folks talking down or not be educated about their history. Um….this goes for us black folks.

11) NO MORE CREDIT CHECKS for jobs please!

12) If those who say they will not vote in any election: you just made the laws setup for keeping you out of the halls and more jobs might not be accessible. Hey Milwaukee, are you listening? Don’t do that.

13) No more showing up at job fairs all slouching! I’m putting my clothes stuff here. Come dressed up like you want a job. No jeans, nor haltertops, no fuzzy slippers or pajama bottoms,  no B.S. crap on resumes. I don’t want to hear none of these “companies” ranting about competition. Ranting about the next guy ahead. Ranting about Social Media hand overs. NONE! This goes for the Wisconsin folks.

14) And the thing that I don’t want to see in 2014……….if a well known dance like the running man, or a well known dance that a certain ethnic group stole to make money to market, it’s already been marketed! It’s been marketed through creativity not just to sell and get a youtube rating. Don’t front!

But other than that: Happy New Year! Let’s get it poppin!
