Had to do it for the Fathers. Chill out, Mothers.

For all the fathers that are having a ball this weekend, this Juneteenth Day Weekend, Happy Father’s Day. Be the fathers that are the old school, the new school, and the yet-to-be fathers that provide for the family. Women, again: CHILL OUT! And yet women must understand that this is their day. They know it, just like the men acknowledged the women on Mother’s Day. But today is NO mother’s day! The day coming up is FATHERS DAY! Not every man is a father. Not every man is a provider to the family. I’m not a father. Hell to the no! But I’ll take a Men’s Day and an International Men’s Day as a single man with no kids, not married, and have to live the legacy of the ongoing stance of my late father, who had his last Father’s Day in 2016. And he passed in 2017. You all know it, go back and read it. Yes, like many I’ll wear black in memory of him, with a shade of blue for Men’s Health Month. As a daily and annual reminder, that we men have to get checked off our health. And Men, when you are not afraid of doctors, take your sons, grandsons, nephews, wards, stepsons, and mentees (of a mentor) to get checked as well. Yes, there are fat kids who don’t get enough exercise. And they are looking at the grown folks on how they eat and drink. That goes for you single mothers that have sons! Let’s be real, when Father’s Day comes around, it will be less than Mother’s Day but the Dads deserve to celebrate. Every one of them. Living or deceased. Old an New.

While we are celebrating this Father’s Day of 2021, there will be hate. There will be hate on Juneteenth Day, hate on black fathers, hate on the black economic, hate on the Tulsa Race Riots of 1921, hate on the subject regarding Critical Race Theory that has been taught on the Law College School Level for YEARS! Hate on the fact on 1619 in which tell about the prelude to 1776 and 1865, hate on the COVID 19 Vaccines that seemed to go down because folks are not taking it seriously! Even the hate on Virtual Learning, sort of like the folks who are still stuck on the old system thinking that it’s not working. The only reason why its not working because its NEW! It’s a new system that many have to adapt. There will be still in-person learning, but NOW it’s a changing landscape because of this symptom! You fathers who work in education and have not completed your degrees, FINISH THEM NOW! I know it’s Father’s Day weekend and your father’s are having a ball trying to say COVID Free, but still men, if you dropped out of school and not finish, go back and finish! Do it for your kids, especially your SONS! And yet were still mad because that the George Floyd Bill has not been passed. The HR1s, Reparations, folks complaining about the Asian Americans passing the Anti-Violence Bill that is for ALL AMERICANS! And folks just realize that Juneteenth is not that new.

Well, I’m scratching my head again……

Milwaukee’s Juneteenth Day Celebration will be revived this weekend for the 50th time. And yet folks had to bust out: “When does the riot start?” Let’s not go there. And the fools who say this, are hiding behind their keyboards typing out the assumptions and mess to the black community, which that deserves outrage. BUT: you white folks, you still got issues of White Supremacy, and opioid abuse in your suburban homes! Don’t front!

In Ohio, has their American Legion had a switch of leadership since Ret. Lt. Col. Barnard Kemter’s true reason speech on why Memorial Day was started by African Americans?

CRT: Has America really told the truth of Critical Race Theory? And why are they scared to admit the truth? And this is partially why all the republicans are scared to bust out the fear and to react to the plans of Patriotic Education in the schools. And guess what? It’s about 2022.

Can the Milwaukee Bucks do the job, or reload to be the team that will have all, fearing the deer in the wilderness? Either way, they own the central division!

What will it take to actually convince Aaron Rodgers to get back to work in a Packers Uniform by September?

So now that the House and Senate passed the resolution to make Juneteenth Day a Federal Holiday, we black folks have to remember that we prayed for this. Those who are not here prayed for this, agitated, protested, petitioned, marched, and yet, after we got the prayer we wanted, we better get to work.

Close to end of the month, Barry Alvarez will be a former Athletics Director as of retirement for 30 years. How will Chris McIntosh do for the next era in Badger Athletics? And to top it off, Jim Pasckhe who was the voice of the Milwaukee Bucks for 35 years, who coming in to be the voice of the Deer?

So Charles Barkley calls the Bucks the dumbest team. Well, says a guy that isn’t a role model for the kids and couldn’t win a ring in the 1990’s. If Sir Charles is so concerned about the Bucks, well here is a crazy thought: can he be a HEAD COACH?

Along Wisconsin Avenue back in the day around this time of year, we used to seeing flags along the route to Summerfest. The flags of the ethnics and groups from the African to the LGBT and the Summerfest Flag in between. So when can we see them again? Come on Milwaukee! We are the City of Festivals! HELLO!

We know that June 20th is also the start of Summer, right? Hang on to your hats and butts.

For the month of June: Already we are seeing the rainbows of Pride Month for the LGBTQIA+ Community with the They/Them, She/Her, His/Him, pronouns. With that being said in all with the building and flags are in a rainbow glow, is there any indication that we see that for Black Folks? Ok, I know write letters and memos in which many don’t anyway. This is why we LOSE EVERY TIME!

Reckless Driving in Milwaukee. Is that stupid of the drivers young and old?

The Brain Drain: We Milwaukeeans know this very well. So what is the legitimate reason why the younger talent goes to Atlanta, Houston, or anywhere else for better opportunities? And yet what does Milwaukee needs to do to steal the formula?

The Hop, or the Milwaukee Streetcar is having an issue of staying free but also trying to charge stuff done. Is it time now to get the Hop charging riders $1.00 per ride now and put the money back into the economy? Hop fans sound off!

Should all companies go Cashless?

Milwaukee, when are we going to have an all-Alumni Related MPS Event again?

As of right now: many already miss Black Lighting. What will DC or the CW do next to get more lead actors and actresses to have lead roles for black superheroes? And what is this about former actors of the show going on to the Arrowverse? Don’t be surprised that the show goes to Netflix.

You know that June is Black Music Month, right? Don’t act like you never heard of a black artist that you have on Reel to Reel, Vinyl, Cassette, CD, MP3, or now Streaming Online!

How did Motorola tap in a sponsor for the Bucks? So that means I have to buy a Motorola Phone?

Speaking of that: AT&T Prepaid has 5G phones out now. Notice the product?

This needs to be asked: Any of you So-called Anti-Vaxxers still think that the 5G Towers gives you reactions after getting the shot? I’ve been vaccinated with the Moderna and no reactions at all. So what is the haps?

Men need to tell others males to go to the doctor. Even young men and boys. So why are the females are doing it the most?

Florida, Florida, Florida. What has your Governor DeSantis doing now that is so Illegal?

Has Sen. Joe Manchin and Sen. Krysten Sinema really got themselves in real trouble with the Democrats. And hogging the bottle of water all to themselves? We know what they’re doing acting as Blue Dog Democrats with betrayal.

CALLOUT: And also for all the women who tell the single men without kids Happy Father’s Day, STOP!!! You know darn well not every man is a FATHER! If you say it, we’ll tell you and check you: “I’m not a father.” Don’t tell us or even think of saying Happy Father’s Day, because we don’t earn it until it becomes a hard job for us to try and accept. Especially those of us who are single, unmarried, no kids of our own and just living the single life that many feels are bad and miserable.  Be careful, ladies. Don’t ever snag us like that. Of course, you can wait until November 19th for International Men’s Day. Or some honorable thing of celebrating Men in the church or community that don’t have kids.

Men, don’t play yourselves in baiting that greeting. The real fathers or those whom are hidden fathers that don’t get a recognition should be recognized! This is not a discouragement, this is to set the record straight.

Now: here is a portion of the blog for the Fathers ONLY:

For all the Dads that are just now coming out, what will be your reaction for your OFFICIAL first Father’s Day?

For all the Dads that are still around kicking knowledge, what is your best advice for the new Dads coming up?

In Memoriam: For those of us who miss our Dads. This is hard as we know. How do we go through the storm yet again that our Dad’s memories will not die? No matter when and where? May all of our deceased fathers rest in power for eternity and in peace. Mine also.

What is up with this attitude that when Father’s Day comes around, females have to get an attitude? Oh, especially around this time of year?

Like last year, has #GirlsDad been always a norm?

When church comes on Sunday, what will be the estimated percentage of Men coming for Father’s Day? It ain’t big for many!

How many Men have actually wore Light Blue for Men’s Health Month on Father’s Day like the MLB in the past?

After this Father’s Day is over, Men you do realize that International Men’s Day is about 5 Months away after June 19th? For those of us whom are not fathers with no kids, let’s celebrate that! No matter what we do or say. I say as an idea, promote International Men’s Day ON Father’s Day too!

Should all Churches and Community Groups have an All Men’s Day? At least for men whom are not fathers in all?  Unsung, perhaps? Some actually do.

Ok, this needs to be asked: what kind of a man is an “Unofficial” Father? or an “Unofficial Dad?” You heard of Honorary Degrees that might be fake. Just saying.

Another question that needs to be asked: no disrespect to Father’s Day or Mother’s Day, but why we have slept on Children’s Day? Which is every second Sunday in June?! Look it up. And don’t say everyday is a Children’s Day.

And………the final question of Father’s Day 2021: While many are just getting on the bandwagon, why are females from 7 years ago and now are tweeting a message like this:

Twitter, 2014.

For all you females who say this, and I don’t care if you’re black, you know you have daddy issues. Talk about being dismissed.

For all the Dads that read my blog, ENJOY YOUR Father’s Day. Be blessed at it. Don’t let none of the disruptive folks hate the thought you got this day. If your Dad is still around kicking knowledge, hold him close! You never know when the day or the hour when it might be his last.

July 4th: As in the 4th of July, you know America’s Birthday in all? And I’m sorry to say that many aren’t feeling the goodness in all in which many have came so far in advance of getting that American Dream that many continue to thrive for all this time. And yet, it’s still out there. So for this 244th edition of the Birthday, it’s time to go deep into the thoughts of asking and yes to come clean.

Oh, who am I kidding: With all the mess surroundings Black Lives being murdered, the Pandemic keeping us separate but equal in a sense, the fake tyranny response team is racist, not enough 4th Celebrations except for A Capitol Fourth, Don Lemon and the Empire State Building, Statues and Battle Flags of hate have been destroyed and taken down, Generation Z is on fire, And yet: I’m scratching my head again.

As I mentioned in the blog before: there should be a hashtag with blacks and the fourth. Anyone agree? As an example: #AtFirstTheFourthOfJulyWasntForBlacks

Hold up: how many Americans can name other Blacks that fought in the revolution that were slaved and a freed black?

Yes black folks, you can celebrate the 4th just a little. But it may come at a price. Yes?

It’s a fact: there were some in the founding fathers that wanted slavery to be gone in the Declaration. But it was not completely erased. Care to think why?

Black folks why are we saying, “Pull Up”?

So this pandemic took away our freedom with the masks on? Really?!

Black women, when was the last time you did this for your ancestry tracing….to the American Revolution times?

Women of Color – Daughters of the Revolution 2020

So after that, Black Men what about you? There is a way to track this!

This is the question that really is questionable: they say that respecting other people begins with Public Education. BUT…..it really starts at home like everything else. Agree or disagree?

Sooner or later: Joy Reid of MSNBC will have her own show in the evening timeslot. “The Reid Out” is a coming! Who’s watching when it comes out?

For many who screams out Black Lives Matter as a “Marxist” group, spell it. Can it happen?

Which team in America is the real team that is “America’s Team?” I’m still saying the Packers!

Which Dream Team was so dominate that is still being talked about? Yes I’m talking about the Original Dream Team from 1992. As in USA Basketball.

Which National Anthem is best? Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, or some unsung artist that nobody heard of?

With all the despise of American problems, does anyone believe that African-Americans were and are the “UNSUNG Builders” of the country?

What is your “Real American Soundtrack” to you?

Oh, speaking of National Anthems: should “Lift Every Voice and Sing” be added to the listing of songs we sing every 4th of July like during Black History Month, Juneteenth or Dr. King’s Holiday?

With all the despise of American problems, does anyone believe that African-Americans were and are the “UNSUNG Truth Tellers” of the country? While of course many can acknowledge the positive?

So there are those whom have a problem with African Americans wearing black on the 4th. Like in the last blog, I mentioned that there are those whom wear black everyday like the Funeral Directors or Undertakers. Even those like the Gothic culture. So what’s the problem? Heck I was wearing a Old Navy Shirt and jogging pants that was black.

For all the African-Americans: are we “more American” that these individuals? Yeah these individuals that don’t speak for all of Black America?! They are all scared of Black Media that will go deep with the truth!

Black America: are we “More American” than these folks who claim they love the flag, love to preach about MLK, and oh they might not appear as they seem like….vandalizing a Black Lives Matter Mural?

Black America: Are we are “more American” than those who claim that when the phrase “Black Lives Matter” rings out, many had to claim to say “All Lives Matter? Just to deflect and shut down?

Black America: are we are “more American” that those claim that BLM supporters that vandalize buiildings, or set fires to destroy neighborhoods?!

Black America: are we are “More American” than those who claim all this bravado and boldness like defending the country like during WWII? Or any other World War that blacks were involved in since the start of the nation? And even though many never acknowledge the fact that racism, the Double Victory Campaign and other forms of discrimination actually happened, but still should we?!

Black America: Are we and should we be more American to own our businesses, learn to operate Virtual Learning in schools and homes, fundamentality recap our health concerns, and many other vital needs to uplift US?! Even in this COVID-19 Pandemic?

Black America: Are we and SHOULD WE be MORE AMERICAN: when addressing the difference of Black Lives Matter and to really of course addressing the problems in our communities? I know this is an hard question, but at least Amanda Seales had to comment this. Look for it on Instagram. She dropped those jewels!

Class of 2020, are you having fun yet? This is just the beginning. Hold tight for a long bumpy ride.

Check this: how will the 2020 4th of July historians really align themselves with the discussions of the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth Day?

Speaking of the DNC: How are the ideas coming along, Milwaukee? We are about ONE month away from welcoming the Democrats to the Brew City! – Which is will be “virtually” due to the pandemic.

Will all U.S. Cities celebrate the 4th of July next year in 2021?

What is the one place in America that many haven’t gone but need to go?

Seriously asking: is every way the American way? AFTER all the pandemic outbreak laws, folks not wearing masks, not being socially distant, fools who go out with the Gadsden/Rebel Flags think that tyranny is a foot, and the ongoing killings of Unarmed Black Men and Black Women such as George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. Oh, by the way: the killers whom have killed Breonna have NOT BEEN CAUGHT or arrested! Where is the American Way for that? And where was Elijah McClain’s American Way when he was killed last August?!

For many of us looking forward to the Summer Reunions of Alumni and Family, should virtual reunions be better this year? Now is not the time to hate Zoom, WebEx or Facebook Messenger Rooms. Or Microsoft Teams.

Can all the Election Inspectors and Election Commission Groups be more socially distant between August 11th and November 3rd?

Word is that Black Folks should have a “Freedom Week” between June 19th – July 4th. Anyone else agree?

And the last question: Is Generation Z really ready to rock and roll as in ready for the cause? I see them but they have a long way to go. They have a good start of making things happen!

BONUS STATEMENT: Between now and the next 4th, see below!

Juneteenth Day Matters!

Today is a legit day to celebrate an occasion that actually mattered. No, it’s not the 4th of July as we know very well. We’re talking about Juneteenth Day. A day that many don’t know about but to quote Kevin Hart: “You gon’ learn today!” For the 155th time, America is recognizing a forgotten Independence Day that almost had right previously in the late 1770’s. Yes we all know that originally, Independence Day was started in 1776 in which that yes and many will hear that black people were still slaves. They were in bondage. No rights. Yes, Master. No Master. We know. Frankly, there was a lot of that and a few black patriots at the time fought in the Revolution, attempted to seek their freedom and most went back into slavery. However, it seems that 4th of July was the mainstay of celebrating the Independence of America. Again, you will know this next month. But again, this day of the 19th is a CLOSER! Think of this: July 4th is the opening pitch to freedom. An opening pitch to eliminate tyranny, oppression, and persecution. Even though it should have been stopped in that particular year, many in the country who benefited and owned slaves actually didn’t want that to end. Yes, let’s call it what it was, slavery and commodity equals money. Even though the British rule was already divorced, but the inner struggle of slavery was a long shot to be eliminated. It took 89 years which in baseball is about 16,198 games. But on the first to last game, which was January 1st, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation to decide that black slaves would be declared free. 2 years later in 1865, after the assassination of Lincoln, the news to Galveston, Texas from General Grainger that the slaves would be now and forever free. This was known as “General Order Number 3.” This is why I say Juneteenth is the CLOSER, or the closing pitch that ended the dreaded streak. That ended the game that many fought for so long to eliminate. This is why I also say that “Juneteenth Day Matters Like The 4th!”

For many of you who are not black, and just wanting to know what this is, and we know many of you will be going all decked out Red, White, and Blue next month. Get this: if you know the 4th, get to know what Juneteenth Day is about. Get to know why this day matters. And many of you are in education, working for the curriculum. I challenge you to put Juneteenth Day further ON THE MAP! I challenge all of those who are black educators: put this day of June 19th ON THE MAP for the curriculum. It is necessary because this is part of the historical events that Americans need to know and summarize. After all, do many people still say that “Black history is American History?” Remember that quote that I hated since Black History Month? Yeah well, since Juneteenth Day is an American Occasion, why not add this to the American History that folks again, need to know! And Black History is STILL World History!

Unlike many Juneteenth Day Celebrations in the country, there were not many marches. And social distancing was in effect due to the coronavirus. In spite of that, Juneteenth Day went on regardless. There were marches, shutting the streets down, murals were and are still being painted on to streets that were declared “sacred ground.” Speeches were made to declare slavery was dead but the struggle goes on. Even after the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Aubrey, Breonna Taylor and countless others that died in the hands of the police. And yet, the Juneteenth Day flags were raised in cities that were used for the first time. EVER. Milwaukee, my homecity that has celebrated Juneteenth longer in the north, raised the new flag outside of the Zeidler Municipal Building. This is the same building named after one of Milwaukee’s Mayors, and a centralplex for the April Voting Drives. Not only that , but Madison also held its Juneteenth Day Flag raising on the State Capitol signifying the 155th occasion. And also, our Milwaukee County Courthouse also raised the new Juneteenth Banner for the special day. All areas of Milwaukee and Madison had the historical moments documented and summarized!

Now let me go left field on these non-black companies and advertisers that are now just discovering Juneteenth Day. Even the Networks like ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC are now just discovering this soon-to-be Independence Day. And our so-called president claimed to “made Juneteenth famous”. Let’s cut the Bull….right now:

First of all: Juneteenth Day was made famous by those who were set free from slavery.

Juneteenth Day was made famous who later marched and protested who were mostly black and fought for Civil Rights that we read about over and over again and making sure that the stories still remain in tact for another era of citizens.

Juneteenth Day was made famous by many who still recognize our concerns, our voices, and our black god-given rights to remain active and ALIVE to let those know that our black rights, and lives still matter! Even at a time when many black men are not as active as black women when it comes to concerns in the community. Even though the black men of TODAY are not as active as the forefathers, but they are out there. And they are active and educating the men of now. Of course, the men of now will do their own thing in the future but guidance must be placed on the table!

If many of the folks who are just now discovering Juneteenth, where have they been?! Black folks have been talking about this for YEARS! This is why the white folks and those who work in non-black establishments must listen to every single black citizen either at work or the house. Not just say, “here you go…………” NO! the key words are to “listen to the black folks!” Let us continue to have our turn to say what we want and need to say. Regardless of our stance on employment, health, finance, spiritual, mental, educational physical and countless others that we discuss that we may agree and disagree, but hear us out! If we don’t see a chair at your table, we have chairs at home to bring. Long ago, we didn’t have those rights as we do now. And that struggle has been going on since the start of loading the boats!

And to have our so-called president to have his “rally” on Juneteenth in a town like Tulsa, Oklahoma that had a history of Black Wall Street being destroyed by racist whites in 1921, was a slap in the face. 99 years this month. Although it was moved to June 20th, which is the first day of the summer solstice. Wow. However even though it’s a different time and a different era, but the struggle again still continues.

So yes, Juneteenth Day 2020 is in the books. However, in the recent “support” of Juneteenth must continue to go on. Like those sales of oil changes to get $17.76 off. Where are the $18.65 discounts? Where are those that need to surface? Yes, I know as a black man that Juneteenth Day MUST be carefully guarded not to be fumbled with a commercialized sense of being jaded. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look at all those sales that are geared towards holidays: New Years, Valentines, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, the 4th, Labor Day, Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and yes Christmas. I’m not saying Juneteenth Day should be marketable. But being careful HOW Juneteenth Day should be marketed that it shouldn’t be sold in a negative sense. That is the main point of all of this. Same as Target marketing Black History Month. Which it has. But I hope that those that market Black History or Juneteenth Day should donate some of those sales to most needed black-owned businesses, and especially to the schools. I’ll give four letters: HBCU. That’s the Historical Black Colleges and Universities. Don’t just donate to the causes on these occasions, do them ALL YEAR LONG! And I hope that since the companies are “supporting black workers” and donating all the causes, for all of you big companies from Facebook to U.S. Bank, Harley-Davidson, John Deere, Tesla, Taco Bell (yeah I’m putting them on the list after firing the worker who had on a Black Lives Matter Mask) Best Buy, Walmart, news media, technological companies, health organizations, employment agencies, the federal government, state government, city government, county government and anywhere that they claim or stake their claim in the support of black workers: I got four words for you: step your game up! Prove to many that you back up your African-American employees. No matter what their positions are. Why you ask? simply put, their black lives DO matter. And they should matter just like everyone else.

So yes, we made it to another year of Juneteenth. And its very legit like the 4th. But after this day is over: The struggle continues!

Hope many of us had another chance of celebrating the 4th.

Happy 4th by the way.

As in the 4th of July, you know America’s Birthday in all? And I’m sorry to say that many aren’t feeling the goodness in all in which many have came so far in advance of getting that American Dream that many continue to thrive for all this time. And yet, it’s still out there. So for this 243rd edition of the Birthday, it’s time to go deep into the thoughts of asking and yes to come clean. Oh, who am I kidding: with all the meltdown of Patriotism, 45 has this so-called celebration in DC, more black folks denouncing the holiday again but overlooking the good, Nike goes crazy with the Air Max Shoes with the Betsy Ross Flag on it, and everyday shenanigans that makes us Yanks really worried. And yet: I’m scratching my head again.

There is a difference betweeen the “Pledge” and the “Declaration”. Who knows the truth?

For real though, had many really paid attention to 45’s 4th of July Parade with Tanks, and other related copy cat stuff like North Korea?

DYI: (did you know) that in the original draft of the Declaration of Independence, there was this item? (courtesy of the Library of Congress) “he has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating it’s most sacred rights of life & liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere, or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither. this piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the CHRISTIAN king of Great Britain. determined to keep open a market where MEN should be bought & sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or to restrain this execrable commerce: and that this assemblage of horrors might want no fact of distinguished die, he is now exciting those very people to rise in arms among us, and to purchase that liberty of which he has deprived them, & murdering the people upon whom he also obtruded them; thus paying off former crimes committed against the liberties of one people, with crimes which he urges them to commit against the lives of another. ”

*This was an idea to strike the issue of slavery out of America. Our founding fathers had this idea in mind (even though more of them were slaveowners) before the states of Georgia and South Carolina had to intervene. And you wonder why asking!

This needs to be asked. We all heard the rendition of Frederick Douglass’ “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” Speech and yet no one read “The American Dream” by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr? Yes! he wrote that in a sermon in 1965 for Independence Day. Who did not read this? By the way Douglass’ speech is really titled: “The Meaning of Fourth of July for the Negro.”

Who still watches the last 4th of July footage of President Barack Obama from 2016? Where he mentioned about “imperfections in our union”?

It’s a fact: there was no parties for the black folks in 1776 when the country was declared. So many had to ask, why the constant stuff like: “This is not my holiday. My holiday was Juneteenth Day.” And also state like, I don’t vote. What kind of ISH is this? And for the record, there were African Americans like Peter Salem and James Armistead Lafayette that fought along the sides of the Continental Army in which…..to gain their freedom. Including John Chavis, Lambert Latham, Oliver Cromwell, Prince Estabrook, just to name few Black Patriots of the era.

The late great Coretta Scott King once said: “Struggle is a never ending process. Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation”. Agree or Disagree?

Who bought the Betsy Ross Kicks from Nike? $140.00 dollars worth?

CALLOUT: Ok. I like Old Navy. And Old Navy is celebrating it’s 25th Anniversary. And yes around this time, the store had all the flag T-Shirts out for the holiday, which was selling during the Memorial Day Weekend. But on Facebook,it was noted that they were selling the shirts in a Purple theme design signifying the silver anniversary on 4th of July. But I need answers: Why did Old Navy had to sell 1,994 shirts online and then when word got out, they were gone?! Somebody really tell me something and yet that is a something worth scratching my head for!

And also, when Old Navy got the purple shirts out, there was a message on the back that transcribed almost with the original pledge of allegiance. Without the words “Under God” on it. And many of the folks on social media went nuts. Why, sway?

It seems that some black folks do celebrate the 4th. And guess what, you know Malia Obama’s birthday is on the holiday, right? And she’s just now 21.

Who’s rocking the Essence Festival this weekend in New Orleans? For the 25th time in a row!

Of all the patriots past and present: who were or are the patriotic introverts in American History that defied the odds? No matter what time-frame, era, gender, race, creed, class, preference, or next generation status?

OK, many folks had to ask: with all this stuff concerning the 4th with fireworks, why not of that for Juneteenth Day? Better start now! We need Black Pyrotechnic Workers!

Milwaukee: last night began a new era in our “July 3rd before the 4th traditional fireworks.” The Milwaukee Brewers, American Family Insurance and other private businesses forged together to bring the now “Lakefront Fireworks”. When the fog was getting to be worse, it kind of cleared. But we had our show. So, how did they do? And also they will be back in July 2020. Ahead of the DNC Convention in the city!

In the first half of Summerfest, Pop Artist Lizzo (you know the one that dissed John Williams’ song Jaws being lazy) had a difficult spot with a member of the security squad member that racially encountered Lizzo’s hair stylist and another stylist after her first Big Gig Performance. And yet, it was Lizzo’s first coming off the heels of the 2019 BET Awards. My question is, has that Summerfest Security Guard Member been fired yet?! And will anyone book Lizzo in the future in Milwaukee? You know already that the city is segregated.

Speaking of the DNC: How are the ideas coming along, Milwaukee? We are about ONE YEAR this month away from welcoming the Democrats to the Brew City!

Speaking of Dream Teams: Which team right now in 2019 is a team that nobody is taking seriously but noticing? Oh, it has to be a U.S. Team.

Speaking of Dream Teams: Which team comes to mind as being a Super team that started the super teams and actually won more than one game and undefeated? Again, it has to be a U.S. Team.

Will the Milwaukee Streetcar be able to “extend the play” in terms of fares and sponsorship between now and 2020? And its still free to ride so far.

How will all U.S. Cities celebrate the 4th of July next year in 2020?

How did many of you played Mortal Kombat 11, the tower version with Jax Briggs, Sonya Blade, etc? Just in time for the 4th.

What is the one place in America that many haven’t gone but need to go?

Seriously asking: is every way the American way?

Seriously asking: Who in the living heck is #ADOS?!! Also known as American Descendants of Slaves? Word is that they don’t know enough knowledge and self hate of being black. And also, what is ADOS’s real agendas regarding the support and assistance of the African-American Community or the Black Community at large that is not very snobbish!

ADOS: Who IS This?!!!

Seriously asking: is there a thing called opportunity to earn your keep? In an American way?

Check this: how will the 4th of July historians really align themselves with the discussions of the 400th anniversary of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade? Which was in 1619?

Should all black historians really align with the 4th in a sense of expressing their own truths to be self-evident that all men SHOULD BE created equal?

The one thing still remains, how will the struggle continue for the better now since the 4th and Juneteenth are now in the rear view? This is an everyday question.

Oh hold up. What up with this? You young Americans and world wide folks take notes on this flow of Hip-Hop!

Second question: for all the triggered folks in America, one of members of Chloe and Hallie will be featured in The Little Mermaid and the triggered folks got mad and pissed all because a black woman is getting the part of Ariel. And they got mad on the Fourth. Really?!

Speaking of being Patriotic: which UNSUNG figures in current American History seemed to be the most patriotic in terms of speaking out against racism, police brutality, white supremacy, and many other shameful acts? Hint: We are talking someone or somebody that is all flag waving celebrating and being very VERY conscious about the issues of America’s problems at hand at the same time!

And…..another thing, anyone noticed that “A Capitol Fourth” was way better than 45’s Celebration in DC? Yeah I said it! And I hate to say it that in the 18th Century, there were no runways and airports. SPOILER ALERT!

Which National Anthem rendition was and is still the best: Whitney Houston, Jimi Hendrix, or Beyonce?

Which America the Beautiful rendition was and is still the best: John Legend, Aretha Franklin or Ray Charles?

This needs to be asked black folks: so the 4th of July “is not considered our holiday” in all, but which holiday is? Oh, if it’s Juneteenth, the word is that many in the Black Community don’t celebrate that either as much as Black History Month. Most of that are facts!

Black folks, when we see our own dress up in Red White and Blue, why do we get upset? Look, many can do Red White And Blue as much as Red, Black and Green and Rainbows. If we can do those without those looks without any disdain, is that considered independent? Or in this case being your own person? Not to offend, but JUST SAYING! As they say, do you!

Which of us in the black community doesn’t mind celebrating the 4th or being greeted “Happy 4th”, but also celebrate Juneteenth Day? Who does BOTH?! This is for those whom are more independent than just being one-sided!

Every Black Family must decorate their houses for Juneteenth Day. Put out the official Juneteenth Day flag and display it. Can that be done? Oh….if those don’t like the Stars and Stripes for the 4th, fly the Juneteenth.

How many times that we were reminded to “Take your place” from the scene of Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion? Not put you in your place, but TAKE YOUR PLACE! Just a reminder: Cicely Tyson’s character centered this statement!

When 2020 arrives: is respirations on the list FINALLY?!

When July 4th, 2020 arrives next year, are we going to act more Patriotic and actually VOTE?!! Forget about all the speeches that are anti this or that, what about just going to ballots and VOTE!

When July 4th, 2020 gets here, how many of will not rely on Facebook to sway our votes in a Patriotic manner?

When July 4th, 2020 gets year in a Patroitic manner are we just going to not do nothing or actually get something started to create things HAPPEN?

By the time July 4th, 2020 passes, 10 days later, will be the 2020 DNC Convention in Milwaukee. Will the DNC be Brew City Ready?

And the final question of this 4th of July…….when 2020 gets here are we still going to work towards freedom instead of painting it like a bad habit?

Until the next one: The Struggle (like marathon) Continues!

Juneteenth Day 2019

For all those knowing it all, hear these words: “Juneteenth Day Matters Like The 4th Of July.”

I repeat: “Juneteenth Day Matters Like The 4th Of July.”

Saying it is the stone cold truth! And does matter because part of this is American History. And the second part of this is that it’s apart of Black History that many should know . Juneteenth Day or the June 19th is the day in American History that slaves were given news that they have been set free from the villainy of slavery. They were officially free 2 years after the signature of the Emancipation Proclamation that was adopted and in acted by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863. This was done also before his assassination by John Wilkes Booth around the 1860’s time frame. So yet, with all the hoopla surrounding the occasion, yes every American, and I mean EVERY AMERICAN no matter how woke, conscious or all patriotic flag waving american you are, every one should learn about this “black” version of Independence Day that it took nearly 90 years after 1776. Actually it was 89.

Classic Milwaukee Juneteenth Day Footage

But why does June 19th care? Why does it care to many of us African-Americans the most than the 4th of July and also why does it get many white folks upset about this day over the 4th? Especially on Facebook! I’m on the History Channel’s Facebook Page and I’m reading all these comments about Juneteenth that yes many didn’t know that it does exists and it should be taught in schools. However there are those (and white) had to be very stupid in a remarkable manner about well they should be glad that the slaves made it to America during the time-frame and trying to get freedom like the promise was uphold. Well let’s get to the punchline. THEY WERE NOT FREE! It was not enough! Even after the adoption of the Declaration of Independence the black folks were not totally free. At the time, the only way that the slaves were set free in all, is they had to serve in the Continental Army part of the Militia. And if they served during that term, they were given their freedom. That was one of the ways that the slaves, especially the male black slaves were set free the most. Oh, even the British did the same thing. They took the slaves already in America and some did join under the King to take up arms to get freedom. But keep in mind, this was the 1770’s and it took about 80 plus years to get this motion of freedom in the minds of the colonies.

When folks make some dumb remarks about Juneteenth and not understanding the full meaning behind it, this is why America currently is not that well educated. Its dumb idiots on Facebook that have not done their homework, or actually went to a Juneteenth Day festival or any Juneteenth Fundraiser or any Juneteenth Day anything to gain the knowledge and stories of why this matters like the 4th of July. What I’m saying here is not just for some idiots, even those whom disrupt problems can be a fool too at Juneteenth Festivals. Of course I’m talking about festival goers of color. When Milwaukee had it’s Juneteenth Day Parades and Festivals in the beginning, according to the historians, the festival was from Day to Night. Now It’s from Day to late afternoon to 6:00pm. And the main reasons why that many didn’t felt safe after the fights and mess up disruptions that fest goers saw first hand. Oh, of course again this is about the black folks. Way before the era of Woke and Conscious came out. But we know this.

Juneteenth Is Important – The Root.com

CALLOUT: The real issue is lack of knowledge, lack of education, lack of understanding and lack of advisement about Juneteenth!!!!!!

SPOILER ALERT! When the 4th of July comes, folks will be asking about Juneteenth. Just wait. Just wait until someone on your Social Media lists mentions it. I’m giving everyone an “Early Warning” right now and when the 4th comes many will unleash about the truth about 4th of YOU LIE stuff and many of the White Folks will get UPSET! Don’t believe me? Just wait on it. And also, don’t be surprised that many black folks celebrate the fourth and have reminders of Juneteenth EVERYDAY! I’m one of them. Yes, I’ll decorate my Milwaukee house with Red, White, and Blue which is my choice and yet after it’s done, back to reality. So I’m not afraid of the truth about the 4th and nor I’m not afraid that many of the ideals of Juneteenth Day had not reached the many foothills of this country!

What is Juneteenth?

On Juneteenth Day, there was talks about respirations on Capitol Hill. Danny Glover and Ta-Nehisi Coates were testifying on why it’s necessary that Black Folks need that 40 acres and a Mule to solidify fairness and prosperity of the faults of America’s Slavery/Racial past. And some of that still exists today in different forms of 2019! This year of 2019 marks 400 years of the last Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade that came to Jamestown, Virginia in 1619. This is also called the “year of the return” in quoting our Ghana brothers and sisters in Africa. And also Ghana is “welcoming” some of us black folks here in the states to gain a greeting of being “back home”. And yes of course it’s same continent that sold their own into slavery in the first place. Black folks, as much as we love Africa, that part is the truth. If we want to learn about our people, yes we must talk about our folks whom were raped, beaten shackled, bought, sold, separated, branded, and many other inhumane acts against our folks whom are our ancestors. And also yes we had black folks that tried to fight back against the slavery acts and even spoke out against the 4th of July being a sham. I’m referencing Crispus Attucks and Frederick Douglass. And I wonder how the black historians will respond about 400 years after 1619 in 2019 on America’s Birthday on July 4th? That remains to be seen.

Testify on Respirations on Juneteenth Day 2019

Juneteenth Day is like the last pitcher in Baseball. When the player comes to the mound, it’s the closer. It’s the “be all end all” of the previous era of slavery. So when you do the math: from 1619 to 1865, it’s about 246 years of oppression, malice and fear of slavery. Between the years, around the 157th year, this was I think 1776 came into play as being as the beginning pitch of a new game of Independence. So if we want to get back with fighting against the 4th, let’s go after August of 1619. That’s where it starts. The Independence Day factor was a build up in trying to break up the slavery acts and freedom. But again, it took 89 years to get to 1865.

I hope that many who acted a freaking fool on Social Media probably got a woke lesson. If not, then they are failing. They will fail, suffer, blame others on education, broke at a job, no relationship or divorce, get old, probably diagnosed with a deadly disease and die. But the fact of the matter is when they try to talk about it, they will just post a message and get likes plus comments. BUT THEY WILL NEVER ACTUALLY DO THE JOB!

Folks, you really want to learn Juneteenth? You better study up all day everyday. And yet you better start doing it right now. Don’t wait until the next Juneteenth, because many of you might be gone. You all better get on it RIGHT NOW! This is not a game and there ain’t no mulligans.

Henceforth: Juneteenth Day Matters like the 4th of July: in terms of Freedom and Independence!
