Oh yes. I have to talk this. Really I have too.

I’m sure that many in America already knows about the deal that was signed when Foxconn, a Taiwan company that landed a deal that would boost Wisconsin’s job numbers concerning employment. We all know that when Scott Walker boasted a plan to have the 250,000 jobs to happen, actually DID NOT WORK. I told you so, Wisconsin. The same words, I told you so rang out so many times I can’t event count. And this was about 6 years ago. Now with the jobs for Foxconn according the sources that it would attract about 13,000 jobs. And it’s going to come to the area of Racine or Kenosha Counties. And just like Amazon, they will NOT come to the Milwaukee Metro Area. And the fact is that yes, when Foxconn inked the deal there had some concerns about also about the taxation part. This deal per se might cost us taxpayers to be on the hook for the next 15 years. How is this deal is going to be beneficial for taxpayers like me for the next couple of years?! Like really, Madison. Plus, Foxconn has been in bad blood in the last couple of years. To the residents of Pennsylvania, we have read about your dilemma about the plant that hasn’t been built. And many of us in Wisconsin are fully aware about it the promises that you were to be given, but didn’t work. And the result was bad broken politics. We get it.

I’ll bet many probably thought, really Wisconsin?! Have you been screwed up already? Oh and other thing, many think that this would seal up Scott Walker’s deal as a way to get reelected for 2018.

Now since the Foxconn company is coming to the state, what will become of us whom don’t have transportation to get to the jobs? We know that Amazon can’t do it alone, but many of us don’t have a jeep, a truck, a car, or a Go-Kart to get to Foxconn every day? Think about it. And what will the state black residents have a say in this?

Oh wait! We had an idea that was seemed very VERY interesting. It was a High Speed Rail Train that would have linked Milwaukee and Madison. You do remember that we HAD over 800 million dollars stacked up for the Talgo Trains and the jobs? Is all that memory coming back? And what did our glorious Governor Numb Nuts did with that money and the jobs and the trains? He gave it all away! The state got sued due to a breach of contact and it was THE biggest blunder ever! Wisconsin, you should have kept the trains. But you failed to follow the advice of Scott Walker. And those like Robin Vos and Alberta Darling. And did I mention that part of which of that dumb decision was geared towards racism? Let that sink in! After 6 years. That was also to help integrate the region. And many were worried that black folks would go to Jefferson County for coffee and donuts. Really?! And to do the math, Wisconsin’s black population is around 8%.

Oh, now that there is talk about using a Canadian Railway track to combine the Twin Cities, Milwaukee and Chicago for a Intercity Rail Route with Amtrak. That seems like an idea, but how is THIS is going to get paid? And the thing is, you got this Foxconn plant coming up, and they need some kind of transportation for Freight and also what about those who don’t drive, that live in far places, how are they are going to get to work? You see what I’m saying? Yeah let that REALLY sink in! And now Walker wants a train! So hypocritical.

Our Republican state hood “friends” really messed up. They realized it. Talgo at the time could have benefited ALOT of jobs. I visited the Talgo plant 5 years ago in the black community in the 2700 block at Townsend Street area, and wanted to see the HSR trains up close. They were good. With all the digital stuff and everything. Plus they worked hard on them! Our people. And the State shamefully gave it all up. All because they thought the tax payers would be on the hook for the vehicles. Or the personal favorite: boondoggles! “No one will ever ride it.” Um………you really think that Badger State? Better change your tune and repent. I hear mostly about the value of the trains on Black Radio like WNOV than 620 WTMJ or 1130 WISN. And let remind our Republican fans, not many in the state doesn’t have their own transportation! And Foxconn wants in. We’re unprepared. Matter of fact were unprepared in getting some of the highways and roads done. Which was LOOOONG talked about for years! Let that also sink in! Why you asked? Too many dang politics messing up. And dang is not a bad word.

At least the Milwaukee Streetcar is still on point.

All of this in my view needs the reexamination of what we really want to have in the state. And of course there will be questions. Like already as I speak, Foxconn is already being talked about but it should be talked about more in the areas of Milwaukee’s north side that can get more insight about what is going on. Especially when the state’s transportation system is on one leg losing to political standpoints so many times over!

Ok WordPress, here it is. Another four way stop on the blog that everybody knows. Well mostly everyone will know. For this, I will be commenting about Straight Outta Compton Talgo, the GOP race for 2016, and Scott Walker with the issue, or lack there of the topic of black lives matter.

First stop is the most obvious of Straight Outta Compton.

I will say this if many have not checked out the movie, I would say this, take a chance. Now I know there are those who may not check out the movie based on concern, or based on the fact that yes, N.W.A had their run ins with the law and the obvious then-disrespect of Black Women. Me on the other hand, I liked the movie for this reason: I wanted to see the many angles that the group had to go though that elevated the game of “Reality Rap” or those like to call it “Gangsta Rap” per say. Of course, they had their angles, and they said F**k the Police, in their songs and albums. The real reason, and this for those who are well aware about the history, is one major factor: Police Harassment. Did anyone who wasn’t aware about this in the beginning are now aware about this now? The same style of Police Harassment that we see today, is what N.W.A experienced earlier on. Dang, I gave part of the movie away! But anyone who is a historian of the group knows this very well. And what did they do after they got harassed is a simple one, they rhymed about it. Rhymed about the actions and concerns that many had to sleep on. And then grown folks had to turn off thinking it was rubbish and offensive to well productive cops. But it’s not rubbish until it happens to you. And when the sheet hits the fan, you’ll know. When I look at any biopic of those of a N.W.A, or the Notorious BIG, I’m not just looking at the music. I’m look at the stages, the climax, the rising and falling actions and a conclusion that ends the story. Matter of fact, I look at that in all films that I see. So technically I’m not just looking at the rise to fame. Which is part of the story. I’m looking at the beginning, the middle and ending of all of this. Also, there are those who say, “Anyone above 30 year or older knows about this. We don’t have to see the movie!”

Well……….not so fast!

Sometimes we need to have those refresher things that get our minds to review or summarize. Many my age approaching 40, or at 40, or after 40,  knows about the hits and hustle, which is understandable. BUT SOMETIMES, and I hear my mother saying this now, we have to go back and review what we learned. That is how I feel about N.W.A. There were some things about the group that I didn’t even know. But I’m pleased that I got that refresher! I’m no HardCore Gangsta/Reality Rap fan per sey, but I do understand what they’re saying. Even if it does cutting through the Explicit Content.  And by the way, the theater where I was seeing the flick: NO GUN SHOTS!

Second stop: Wisconsin: You should have kept the Trains!

Oh Wisconsin, I kept telling you since 2010: I’ve told you so! And how many times had that sunk in? Like what, a million times?! And that hadn’t sunk in yet? All of that so-called mess about boondoggles and no one will ride it mess? Remember that? Well guess what, all of that will indeed continue to haunt Wisconsin for dear life! I wrote an apology letter to Talgo via this blog and well, it went something like this:

This is our fault for not backing this up fully. And I don’t know how this would get this over in terms of our valor.  First, I fault our so-called Wisconsin values. I fault that in addition with our polarized politics mainly with Scott Walker, the Republicans of the state, and mostly with those who jumped aboard the bandwagon of spoiled selfish politics that could been better in terms of helping the Wisconsin folks of our unemployment woes. Our black unemployment population is still at around 50% and the area near 27th and Townsend once housed your company was a good idea. And in history, it had GREAT PRODUCTIVE JOBS!  A.O. Smith was a great company. And I don’t care what some so-called citizen thought it could have been. But it was a unfinished opportunity due to the ignorance and stupidity of this state! The deal was to me was perfect. And it should have been thought of the future of Infrastructure of Transportation to go where the jobs are. Milwaukee and Madison should have been linked up with Chicago, Minneapolis and St. Paul. Plus also Detroit.  I can’t fault the other cities or states. But the real fault is in Scott Walker’s hands and he knows it. And after all of that being signed a done deal by former Gov. Jim Doyle.

And I remember writing this:

Now this announcement of you leaving the City is disappointing. And most of us know it’s our fault. As a native of the state, I too take the blame. However, for those who were opposed to the project, probably got their wish that it’s a boondoggle and it’s another way of run away government spending. They claim that no one will ride it and it’s too expensive. The same folks in my opinion that said that, are just bigoted fools that don’t want folks like me roll through their part of the state based on my skin color. And other minorities too. What I mean by that is, there are those in Wisconsin that things “segregated”. Even though also this is a black eye in our state, and a black eye in the vision of President Barack Obama. Why I am putting the President in this? It was part of his idea of putting folks to work with the shovel ready jobs. Don’t believe me? one of our radio stations, 860AM WNOV talks about this all the time. And the question will restart yet again, how and will this create jobs? And the obvious, where are the jobs that I can get to without a car in the state?

Not everyone in Wisconsin doesn’t have a vehicle, citizens!  Tell that to the Governor and Republicans of the state!

And this:

And the lamest comments: “Sorry about the jobs, and bye bye choo-choo train!”  Really lame along with Walker’s imaginary 250,000 jobs that he pointed to be objective in his first run. But now, he is not fully committed with that notion. Right now, the jobs report in Wisconsin is still low! And also who wants to come to Wisconsin and put jobs in the Century City District, in the city of Milwaukee and mostly in the areas in Milwaukee THAT FOLKS CAN BE SUPPORTED in the area? Not Waukesha, Not anywhere else where the white flight happens to go. Just in the area where it’s needed. If the so-called Wisconsinites who talked smacked about the train jobs, then why didn’t they supported the workers of Talgo by staying and working with them? And I met the workers two years ago. Ignorance is bliss when you know it.

We already know that the state will be jacked up with later fees, taxes and losses. Plus your on- going lawsuit against the state is still intact. I say do it. You have every right to do so. And I’m saying this as a resident.

If this is one of those “Teachable Moments” to learn from, it is. But the state of the Badgers will be suffering from it the most.

Now, do we remember? Yes that letter. And I did indicate that the company had a right to sue the state in part of the breach of contract. That should have been a deal signed for the use of jobs and economics, but all of that was RIPPED away by dumb politics. And I should say also ongoing segregation, too? Does that ring a bell? Well in regarding the penalty, the Milwaukee Business Journal reports this penalty that the State will owe, plus a potential Milwaukee to Chicago Route:

Under the agreement, Talgo will keep the two trains it built for the state of Wisconsin, and receive a $9.75 million payment from the state to close out the contract, said Lester Pines, attorney for Talgo. Talgo will attempt to sell the trains, and the state can collect a portion of the revenue from that sale to recoup up to $9.75 million, he said.

Also there is a history that this matters. The article does point out as well:

The conflict goes back to a contract for Talgo to manufacture and maintain over 20 years four trains for Wisconsin. The Spanish company agreed to set up its U.S. manufacturing operations in Milwaukee. Wisconsin canceled the order for two trains that were intended to run a high-speed passenger rail route between Milwaukee and Madison.
Conflicts arose after Wisconsin canceled the order for two trains, and refused to build a maintenance facility for two that were built. Those two were intended to run on the Amtrak Hiawatha route between Milwaukee and Chicago.

Talgo filed the lawsuit in late 2012 against Gov. Scott Walker and Transportation Secretary Mark Gottlieb. There was a dispute over the contract, and over whether Talgo or the state of Wisconsin actually owned the two trains.
Talgo claimed $65.9 million in damages over its contract with the state. Even with the settlement, it will never recover losses from Wisconsin not following through on the 20-year maintenance agreement for those two trains, Pines said. Talgo had priced the trains expecting to get that 20 years of maintenance work, he said.

And the article concluded with the settlement that must be exchanged in merit:

The disputes between Talgo and the state resulted in the two never changing hands. Talgo in May 2014 rolled the trains out of Milwaukee, ending the company’s operations in the city. They remain in storage in northern Indiana, Pines said. With the lawsuit cleared up, Talgo can now advance efforts to sell them, potentially to another state, for passenger service.

Wisconsin, under the settlement agreement, can collect up to 30 percent of the price of their sale, not counting any costs Talgo takes on to prepare the vehicles for sale and close the deal, Pines said. Depending on the final sale price, the state can collect up to $9.75 million, which represents its final payment owed to Talgo under the manufacturing contract.

See Wisconsin: I’ve said it all along, but I told you so. Instead of being big-headed and gullible with the segregated view politics, you should have kept the trains, and the ORIGINAL route of the Madison-Milwaukee High Speed Line as it was. But this is what you get! If the next generation of Wisconsinites get screwed up in a future plan, they might go back and ask what was up with 2010? And I’ll tell them here that Our so-called Values of political mess got us in a heap of trouble. And we paid the price for it. And partially it was not allowed by then-Governor Scott Walker. Doyle had it right after all!

Third dance: Let’s talk clowns. GOP Clowns.

Oh, I won’t be long here. This will not take long. Anyone seen this GOP Clown Cars of Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Scott Walker, and many others who are continuously making fools of themselves for the 2016 Republican side? I know I’m not the only one. The majority of the folks in the race is talking out of his mind the most, is Donald Trump. Think about it!  He didn’t say all the things he’s saying when he was running before. Maybe because the black guy Obama got in the second time. But now, we’re seeing for who he really is, yeah he’s exercising his liberties, but he’s doing it in a fashion that is giving the gift that the Democrats would probably get.

And yes, he’s talking. But will all that talk even last? I say that because the more he’s TALKING, the less he’s doing. That is what Donald Trump is doing, NOW! Right at the moment he’s just opening a new can of worms that are just full of hot air. OF COURSE we still got problems in America. We still got problems with Education being in the areas of 25 or 23. There are those like him want wars! We’ve gone through about 10+ years in Afghanistan/Iraq and they want to bring this crap again? And like before, how is this going to create more jobs? The last republican President, which really SUCKED: George W. Bush, shipped jobs overseas. And dried up America’s Credit Card. Um, does that ring a bell?

If “The Donald” loses his talk, he will lose big. Mark my words.

Finally on the Card: Scott Walker does not have time for #BlackLivesMatter. (So he says)

I read this today via Rawstory.com. And United Wisconsin of Facebook. It appears that the Governor does not like black people. Or should I say, black concerns. For all you black republicans and Walker fans in Wisconsin, and those whom proudly voted for him, you might want to read this commentary story.

The article pretty states itself that even the man who took down unions, put a cancellation on High Speed Rail, put a cancellation on the Hard Rock Cafe Casino Project, put a break and halt on Teachers, medical care, close off anything that the working poor that have access constantly, and many others that WIsconsin held dear for most of the time. Remember that State of the State Address when he had all those workers and not one, NOT ONE person of color was on that state? Not one black nurse or black doctor that wasn’t shown! Oh, when was the last time that Scott Walker was in the BLACK COMMUNITY addressing the needs of Black Residents? May I remind that Wisconsin does have black folks around 6%. Plus when the 2014 campaigns were going on, for the black side, Mary Burke was on WNOV over 4 times talking to the black listeners during the time. Walker: ZERO! None!

Can bust a J. Cole lyric right now in a Edited Version: “He don’t give a F-word about you!”

The same notion that he gave when he closed off the Bus Routes and raised bus fares that many folks needed to get to work and school during his County Executive days. And forcing the Voter ID’s to make it harder for those to cast a freaking ballot!  And to top on that, we supposed to be “Open For Business”. Apparently his business is flourishing money away to other states and not investing it here to serves the needs for US. And majority of us here in the Southeastern part of the State are Black folks!

Making sense now?

Like i said, the real purpose movement of #BlackLivesMatter is not going away. The concerns of Black America IS NOT GOING AWAY! Of course, there are those who get behind a movement for two weeks and then, it’s all forgotten about. This is where it needs to stop. The concerns must be on course. Even if it’s in the heart of Milwaukee or Madison. And even if it’s shows up at Scott Walker’s front door.

Yes, I know Scott Walker has black friends. But he, like many others like him are just in denial. That’s right I said it!

Just today, the train maker Talgo made a decree to the City of Milwaukee that it is pulling out of the area where the High Speed Trains were made. Not only that, there are two trains that are in the shed at the site, that will be likely used in another state like Michigan for a future route. This however is a big blow and a likely lasting blow to the city and also the state. Plus also, this is a direct result of wrong doing making decision by Scott Walker, the Republicans and it’s supporters. For that I write this blog letter.

Dear Talgo of America:

It’s me, Stephen. I am a black blogger from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

First, on behalf of every Wisconsinite that has backed you in this support of trying to get this deal done with High Speed Rail: I AM SORRY!

I am deeply sorry for this. And I condemn those who were against.

Back in 2012, I visited the area for the trains during your open house and yes, it was a good to see the trains up close. Modern technology in all. And I kept wondering, why would Wisconsin would give THIS UP?! Seriously?!!

Now this announcement of you leaving the City is disappointing. And most of us know it’s our fault. As a native of the state, I too take the blame. However, for those who were opposed to the project, probably got their wish that it’s a boondoggle and it’s another way of run away government spending. Oh, and about Super Steel? They need to get with the 21st Century style stuff. Just saying.

P.S.  – And as far as the Milwaukee Streetcar is concerned: don’t let that go!

Vote.june.5

Obviously, I know for some, most are probably are asking, what is up with the “I Told You So’s?” It’s my way for saying of what’s going in Wisconsin. Politically. I’ve been on this thing 16 times, and now approaching number 17. Recently, we know that the recall election will be coming up on June 5th.  We know. Scott Walker knows. Tom Barrett knows. The sides of the liberals, progressives, conservatives, and those stuck in the middle know what is up for the state. What happens on the 5th of June at the end, will dictate the future. If Walker survives, mostly of the things he’s planning will continue. Deeper cuts in Education, health, and the ongoing so-called spurs of the 250,000 jobs. If Barrett wins, the direct opposite. Recently the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel endorsed Scott Walker (yet again) of being governor of Wisconsin. There has been alot of talk about that which is nothing new. They endorsed him in 2010 in that Tea-Party wave beatings in the country. Frankly, I don’t like the Tea-Party. Never have and will. Not necessarily bad feelings. I just don’t agree with them at all. The heat of the matter has also resisinated with the job growth. According to Walker, he said in the past week that Wisconsin (miraculously) gained 23,000+ jobs within the past year, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Wait a minute! STOP and Rewind! How in the Badgerland that the state “gathered 23,000 + jobs when it was reported by the Department of Labor that Wisconsin LOST about 5,900 jobs, during the month of April? Um, something doesn’t add up. Apparently the Governor didn’t reported the FACTS truthfully with providing the proof that it actually happened!  Bottom line, it’s false. The only reason I think Walker presented the “23,000+ Jobs” before the whatever deadline, is just to “make him look good for continuation.” But others in Wisconsin aren’t fooled that much. So apparently it’s not sufficient enough to jump the gun and actually read the fine print properly. And as for the Journal Sentinel, they know better. No, I’m not blaming Eugene Kane, James Causey or any other reporter of this matter. They’re cool.  As well as the Purple Wisconsin section writers.  Will this continue the drive for Tom Barrett? Quite possibly.

Now for the Heart of the Matter. I’m beginning to sound like Ed Schultz. Just today, I visited the Talgo plant in Milwaukee’s inner city area. The company became caught in the crossfire during the 2010 campaign here in Wisconsin. Talgo as most know was supposed to be apart of the Milwaukee-Madison High Speed Rail Project in which in my estimation should have been now “shovel ready”. But apparently, Walker got in the Governor’s chair and refused to accept the 800+ million dollars in which would have covered the expenses of the project. So no to High Speed Rail all because of two things: 1) the talk of boondoggles in which is totally pathetic for laziness. Which included the same old government spending wasting speech. Oh wait, was the 2 wars under George W. Bush like that? and 2) It’s another way to get Obama out of office. You read that right. All those “no’s” that the Republicans been saying all this time? It’s just trying to get President Barack Obama’s term to be limited to one.  Call it racism. Call it being against certain policies. Call it what you want. But I don’t think those no’s will stop Obama moving forward for another term. If he gets only one term, it’s a lost. Or it’s a waste. Getting back to Talgo, the company had a Open House in which there was information about the trains, the trains themselves, and potential company information about the use and objectives of the company endeavors. When I got to the plant as usual, the main attraction was indeed the trains themselves. I have viewed mostly on the inside and I was VERY IMPRESSED! I was impressed of the work that was put in in building these train sets. Boondoggle, you say?

Everything from the seating which was powered electronically, the screens on the ceiling, and many others that was impressive with 21st Century Technology.  Let me repeat that: 21st Century Technology!

Not stuck in the past mindsets of politics. Near the end of the tour, it was spread around that the company might stay IF the trains operate on Amtrak’s Hiawatha Line that connects from Milwaukee to Chicago. And the way if that happens,  IF the votes go through on June 5th. Talgo is on life support in order to stay in Milwaukee and provide jobs and display innovation. I was one of those today that view it, and I was impressed with the work. Now to those who call it a boondoggle in all, are just lazy in thinking. If those who bashed the trains in all visited the plant today and saw the project up-close and in person, they would probably have their standstill of stubborn politics. Sort of like Scott Walker. Also where was Reggie Newson? The DWD Secretary. Hmmmmmmm, why didn’t they come out? Robin Vos, or Alberta Darling. Oh never mind. Sorry. They don’t count.

Like I said, the projects were indeed an impressive and shouldn’t in no way shape or form be a waste of money. I learned long time ago that you never know that something useful like this could have some value in the long run. The keyword is VALUE!  Not fear of failure. Another keyword or keywords is matter of principle!

Technically, one of the weaknesses in Wisconsin in my view is not only slowness at times, but the execution of getting things done. Technically I see that. Particularly in Milwaukee. In comparisons to other cities that are on the move. Those in the area bash Detroit alot. Really? But failed to mention that Detroit is turning things around for the good. I can’t hate the Motor City for that. They are showing the country how it’s done and apparently those of us in the “Greater Milwaukee Area” need to recognize and respect! Somebody needs to say it. They have a slogan of “Imported from Detroit” during the commercials that had the Gospel Choir singing the One Shot chorus verses from the 8 Mile Soundtrack. Which is part of their continued success of cars. GM Cars that is. And GM is back on top being Number 1 in the world. Who should we thank for that? Can anyone say President Obama? Not only it’s about the product, but about showing the pride! Well, Milwaukee Area where’s our pride?!!!”

For that I want to see Milwaukee stand up for this. I want to see Milwaukee have products or anything Milwaukee made to showcase that we exist! Born in Brew City, or Created in Cream City, or Milwaukee Originated.  Or,  A Milwaukee Original. Oh, yeah I’m giving out some ideas. But I better get credit for it! So everything here I said, better be a food for thought. If it’s not, well let’s just say the parade will pass by. And the politics, backwards thinking, and not showing your pride for your city or state will show.

I have been reading the news about the Congressional Black Caucus’ Career Fair/Town Hall Meetings, and I have to applaud them for at least taking the time to get something going for the fact that the Black Population in America is facing dire straits of unemployment, trying to get that breakthrough job and many others. If you are a fan or a close member of the Congressional Black Caucus: Bring this “Fire” to Milwaukee!

I’m saying this because the city I’m referring too, needs this fire, badly! Milwaukee is ranked in the higher ranges in which unemployment is terribly high. Most in the percentile of the 50’s nearly 53% among African-American Residents. I remember when the NAACP came here in 2005, they reported that the number given is “unacceptable”. Even for a city like Milwaukee that is really not pleasing. Now you’re probably asking, “Dang when is Milwaukee is going to step up and take charge to get folks working? I mean really? When?” One of the things that could have done to try to fuse it was the High Speed Rail project. That Infrastructure thing could have got more jobs and put that money in pockets and purses. What stopped it? Ask those who voted for Scott Walker. Ask those who are in the Tea Party making a mockery of our Country’s Principles. Oh yeah, I’m going there. Just like Bill Maher once said that if the Founding Fathers were alive, they would have hated their guts!

Now I may not agree with the latter of thought from Rep. Maxine Waters, but she is out there voicing her opinion in which that yes, the President has to step his game up and visit the African-American neighborhoods and meetings to discuss the dilemmas. If he can go to the other communities, WHY NOT the African-American areas? I have to realize that yes Barack Obama is the President of the United States, not the president of the African-Americans. Also, ask those who want to leave things as they are and NOT moving forward to the next level. And ask those who are supporters of Scott Walker this question: What could go in the Central City Area where Talgo WAS SUPPOSED to go? And I’ll bet like Maxine Waters, I would say that the Red Squad of the Badger State DON’T HAVE A PLAN to rebuild and or create jobs. When Walker left for Madison, Milwaukee county was in a heap of mess.

I do hope that the Congressional Black Caucus does make a Brew City Visit. And I hope that one of the members, Congresswoman Gwen Moore can lead that idea of bringing in Local and Well-known companies like a Quad/Graphics, or Harley-Davidson or an outside company looking in can have the abilities to hire African-Americans in the Greater Milwaukee Area. I know that the city has had these type of Job Fairs in the past, BUT this Career Fair needs to be real and clear to the point. Plus I like to see, just like in Miami and Inglewood, a town hall moderation in which to have those who have looked for work, need a skill or just trying to get that first promotion, to come on out and voice their concern. Don’t get me wrong.  There are others who are feeling the pinch too, but I have to realize that I think that the African-American Community needs this fire than they realize before.

I got admit. The year of 2011 is starting to become a red nuisance. The reason being because the Republicans have the house of representatives deadlocked for four years. And Scott Walker is now the Governor of Wisconsin. The same Scott Walker that wanted the High Speed Rail canceled in the state, while Ron Johnson is now a Senator overtaking a spot that Russ Feingold had for 18 years. I think this year will see a relapse of 1995 when the red squad took over when Clinton was running the show. I hate to go progressive here but Keith Olbermann warned us that this would happen. And I can hear Bill Maher say that “America is safe again!” (Clapping) NOT!

This 112th Congress is out to repeal everything that President Obama and the Democrats (plus the Democrat Fan Base) has tried to do in his two years in office. Even Health Care Reform. It’s just simply that this House just wants to go back where it was normal for them. NEWSFLASH! This country cannot go back to the same old stuff that got us in the rut in the first place. It reminds me of folks that don’t want nothing new and just keeps everything the same.

Hey Wisconsin, does this remind you of something? Staying behind in all? Refusing to change for the better?

Ed Schultz, like him or not, took it to the next level on his show the other day that he called out the Republicans this past week. Yes, he called them out, and apologized. Well I don’t know about the apology. Maybe he did it for humanity reasons. But for calling out the Republicans in general, he had a right to do it. We know it.

So on the list for scrapping Health Care Reform, what next? Oh, wait. They want to repeal every thing that this administration worked on for two years. Mainly to shoot back at Obama of hate. That’s right I said it! The only reason they, the 112th Congress that is Red Controlled is to tear down this President of prejudice reasons. A black man in the chair at the White House.  In the oval office. And by the way, the Tea Baggers: those crazy flag waving/ Don’t Tread on Me,18th Century dressing/hand gun rally holding/ We want our country Back/asking for an handout quoting folks, had a continuing thought in this. And Wisconsin had to absorb this! Wow. By now, the House will pass their version to repeal the Health Care Bill, but the Senate and White House will scrap it. How is this helping the country to find and create jobs? I dare any Republican (or any Republican Fan) to answer this!

In my last blog in 2010, I asked the same thought of question to the Charlie Sykes Fans, the James T. Harris Fans, the Vicki McKennas, Mark Bellings, Jeff Wagners, all of these so-called considered GODS of Wisconsin’s Conservative radio one simple question: In regarding to the Talgo plant in the inner city of Milwaukee, what should go there? Come on Republican Fans, you got this! What should go there?!  Really?! You guys seem to have the cards. Do you or you don’t? And the Scott Walker Fans, same thing.  – He wants 250,000 jobs, but scraped about 13,000 all because he and those like him think the High Speed Rail thing was a “boondoggle”. Won’t work. No one will ride it. That is a sure sign of laziness and holding back. Talk about getting put on notice.

So I’m going to end this story by saying this. Those of us who didn’t vote for these Red Plaguers, get on their cases EVERYDAY! Monitor there failures, and continue to push forward. It’s been 4 days since Scott Walker took office in Wisconsin, 2 days since the House became a Red Plague.

One last question: Scott Walker, Ron Johnson, John Boehner, Republicans – You talked about jobs. Where are they?

In my continuing story of the Wisconsin Rail Project stoppage, I read some of the editorials on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Website today. It appears that there are some or most who feel that High Speed Rail will never work in the Badger State. Obviously that is true. Only because it has never tried! What is the deal, Wisconsin?! Dang, I have never seen so many lack of self-confidence, closed-minded folks in my life. I don’t care what color you are. Maybe I should move to Illinois  just to keep pace with the rest of the 21st Century and write a book entitled: Boondoggles! Why Wisconsin will never catch up with America. (Don’t be sorry if I wrote the book!)

I don’t see Illinois, nor NY, California and Washington State calling this a Boondoggle. Why is this? They get it! SIMPLE. They are going to have more access to jobs, infrastructural ideals, tourism, business, and recreational stuff. And where will Wisconsin be? Don’t ask.

However, this has been answered too many times. “Oh it’s a boondoggle, it will never work.” Gimme a Break. Let me tell you a story: When I was in college at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, I took a course in Organizational Leadership. And there was a subject about good behavior in leadership as well as bad leadership. Also here’s is thought I truly remember: measurement drives behavior. When you have a leader that is good, everyone follows that leader that makes them feel great, feel inspired. However, the opposite, not very bright. and kind of lets the team down. Wisconsin has had good Governors and bad Governors on both sides. And I think potentially, Scott Walker is approaching to be that Governor tends to be good, but have more “bad reputations”. Take a look at his records of jobs, transportation, and county senior centers. All of those he cut. And with the recent act of stupidity with Talgo, the jobs are automatically cut and the company will move out. Even Keith Olbermann and Eugene Robinson can never figure that out on Countdown!

I think the “Tea Party Voters” or Scott Walker’s Voters will regret November 2nd. That’s right I said it! Despite of Jim Doyle’s failures and his success stories he wasn’t that bad. Take a guy like Scott Walker who never finished college and has to make a decree of 250,000 jobs, while cutting at least 5,000 or more going into his first term is extremely dangerous.

Now I want to ask the Charlie Sykes Fans, the Mark Belling, James T. Harris, Vicki McKenna Fans one simple question: What should go there in the old A.O. Smith/Tower Automotive plant area?!! And also, why are these republican conservative fans stating that Talgo is racist?  When was the last time that they researched Dresser Waukesha that had a settlement case reviewed and finished because they refused to hire African-Americans in Wisconsin. I don’t see James T. Harris answering that! He needs to get off that Conservative Charlie Sykes Base and come on out. Disappointing. Even The Milwaukee Drum needs to be on his case. Where was Mark Belling on this? Or how come Charlie Sykes didn’t comment that on Sunday Insight? And where was Scott Walker on this issue? NOWHERE!

Getting back to my story, Wisconsin must get rid of this boondoggle attitude. This is one of the things that consumes this state and us as residents. It’s time that Wisconsinites need to find Jesus. Not Aaron Rodgers. Not Brandon Jennings. Not J.J. Watt. Not Ryan Braun. Not any of the Milwaukee Admirals, or the Milwaukee Wave Players. Don’t even think about calling 1290WMCS with Earl Ingram , or V100 with Bailey Coleman or Reggie Brown. Or going on Real Milwaukee with Cassandra McShepard or Tony Clark. Or appearing on TV with Mike Gousha. Or meeting with Mayor Tom Barrett, Russ Feingold, Barbara Toles, Spencer Coggs, or any Coggs family member, Or Jim Sensenbrenner, Jim Doyle, Tommy Thompson, and Paul Ryan, or Sean from Real World Boston who is now a republican candidate for Wisconsin, or Bango the Buck, Bernie Brewer, Willie G, or going to battle with me. Wisconsin Needs JESUS to straighten up! Not the Tea Party, nor Progressive Parties.

Yes, Wisconsin and High Speed Rail Systems can work, ONLY if Wisconsin can have the will and attitude to forge it. Obviously those who oppose High Speed Rail in a boondoggle manner, are just scared punks. Or this reminds me of those who want things to stay the same, and those who want to change. Those who want things to stay and pass it along to the next generation, usually are going to die! That’s right Rail Haters of the Badger State or boondoggle lovers. You continue to say “it will never work” and you’ll die with “it will never work” on your tombstones. Hate to say it. And Scott Walker will be right there with you going six feet under. Did I mention that your children are looking that this? If this is the way you are teaching your kids, (that I may have to tell them to just say no on the street), you are doing a horrible job with this lacking self-confidence with the negativity. And those who want to change, usually come to a point where the old stuff isn’t working, the new stuff has to come in. I’ll admit: change is hard, but it’s needy for the better.

This is why I believe Wisconsin is a tail-end state. And will continue to be a tail-end state of getting behind. Sort of like education. Most here don’t have a College Degree (like Scott Walker) while a few of us have Associates, Certificates, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate’s Degrees. That’s right a few. Also like where do the young black talent hang out? Young enough to be employed, in college, or in the real world in the struggle. Again and again, I read and hear about the Brain-Drain effect. That I’m starting to believe. If this does not teach us, (us as in Wisconsinites) to change and to attract younger talent, it will be like a thing of the past or haunt-able. And you can’t blame them. The failure is YOURS! Your “Boondoggle Attitude/It Will Not Work Philosophy” will be on your deathbeds. Did I mention that Milwaukee has a hard time trying to get Hip-Hop Noticed?

Bill Cosby was here in Milwaukee in 2004 when he said these words: “Milwaukee, you are a city that has been put on notice. I didn’t do it. You notified yourself.” Well, Wisconsin, we are a state that have been put on notice too many times. We did it to ourselves, and no one to blame but ourselves.

In regarding High Speed Rail, this would have been a good opportunity for the state to invest. However, there are those who are just short-sighted and anti-social  to understand. Especially if a new governor like Scott Walker coming into the fold, that believes that same objective. SHAMEFUL!

Rail will never work in Wisconsin, huh? That’s not just a laugh. It’s a problem with attitude, and politics. Which is Beyond Shameful.

Still covering the wake of the removal of the High Speed Rail money that was allocated for Wisconsin, I just read today on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Talgo is leaving the city sometime in 2012. The same year that we decide if Obama stays or goes from the White House. Now I want to ask all of those boondoggle calling, it will never work commenting folks a simple minded question. If and when Talgo leaves Milwaukee, what should go in the old A.O. Smith/Tower Automotive areas? What organization that you know very well would serve that spot? Huh, any ideas ringing? A local business? Come on Republican fans, your boy Scott Walker got this! What should go there?!!! Wait aren’t you the ones who voted for him to have the moniker that Wisconsin Is Open For Business? Believe in Wisconsin Again? – Sound Familiar? Really, Walker fans? Really Wisconsin Republicans?! Really?

How do you people sleep at night?

Obviously, you are somewhat enjoying your victory which was tainted overall with jobs leaving the state. And apparently you cram like moronic quacks over a company that you haven’t done good research on. And on the flip side, what does that say about attracting businesses in Wisconsin after what just happened? Can you explain that?

Personally, I do feel that Talgo was never given a chance to shine. Why? It’s because of our boondoggle attitudes, and when we see things that the other states have, we dream about it, and then………..POOF! gone with angry frowns and politics. I can’t imagine what would the next company coming in might think about Wisconsin after Talgo leaving. When word like this gets passed around, there will comments like: “I will not work nor expand my business in Wisconsin. Did they just dissed Talgo there?”

What about Wisconsin? – Their new Governor is a job killer! What were they thinking about this guy? Talk about shameful and embarrassing! He talks about creating 250,000 jobs to make, and he kills 5,000+. Stupid!

Dang, Wisconsin! You had it and you choked! You should have put the politics and feelings aside and thought about your residents job needs. Did you do that? Did your so-called Walker Governor did that? NO!

Or what about this: I knew Wisconsin would fumble, and there is a reason why: too many “boondoggle” comments, and being so petrified. What are they teaching their children?

Let me clarify this to Illinois, California, Florida and Washington State. I have nothing against you. You took the money fair and square because of Wisconsin’s bad behavior, and distainment of confusion with politics. We will learn to deal with this as much as losing a job opportunity. As far as the link with Minnesota, it’s going to take another round of opportunity to get Wisconsin’s act together over it’s boondoggle syndrome.

Speaking of job opportunities, you don’t pass them up. EVER! Because if you do, you’ll never get it again.  It’s best to get it when it’s still open and available. Former WTMJ Channel 4 anchorwoman Vivian King worked at the station for nearly 10 years. But her calling came when she was offered a management position of public affairs at Roundy’s headquarters in Downtown Milwaukee. She didn’t call it a boondoggle like many of you would, she took the opportunity and didn’t pass it up. That is how you cross the goal line!

This project was indeed a job that couldn’t get passed up. Ask those who already filled out their resumes, and job applications to try and get a job with Talgo. They probably will not get one because of the harsh politics surrounding High Speed Rail.

Scott Walker calls this a victory. Really?! This is not a victory. It’s only the beginning to surrender. And for that, Wisconsin had 810 million reasons to do it. Part of which came from those who have a boondoggle/it will not work/attitude.

Wisconsin maybe a proud state in other areas, but regarding this, one word: SHAMEFUL!

“A true patriot is a lover of his country, who rebukes and does not excuse it’s sins”…….. Frederick Douglass

Congratulations, Wisconsin.

Let me say that one more time.

Congratulations, Wisconsin………………………….. For being shameful!

Just today that the Feds, Secretary Ray LaHood, and the Obama Administration will pull the 810 Million from the states of Wisconsin and Ohio, and will be redistributed to other states like Illinois, California and Florida. Plus other states too. But the low blow burner of all of this, is that Wisconsin will get $2 Million to upgrade the Hiawatha  Amtrak Rail Line from Illinois to Wisconsin.

I know that in my 34 years of life, I  have never seen this coming. I thought I would be able to at least to have a chance to see and experience High Speed Rail in my own state. Apparently, something told me that this would not be a deciding factor. And I think I know why that is. Personally, I know who is the blame for this and I’m going down the list to see who I feel would put the blame on.

First, I blame Scott Walker. Simply because he’s the one that originally wanted to have a rail system impletemented in the first place, during his earlier career jobs. But thanks to his “backwards” thinking in all, along with the “will of the voters” he’s going to regret this day the most, by buying into the bureaucratic talk of fear, and just negativity. He says he’s about the state is “open for business”, but what now about the state that closed a business?!

I also blame Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson. The man who really wanted this to happen since the 1990’s, and since Scott Walker wanted to be governor so bad, he back peddled the thought of using the rail money for roads instead.

Third, I hate to say it Jim Doyle. He made an error of halting the project during the campaign, and leaving it up to Scott Walker. And yes, he wanted to move the state in the 21st Century-esque vision. But apparently the lowest move I think, was leaving it up to the Governor-Elect. And additionally the Tea Party of Wisconsin that don’t get it at all.

Fourth – I hate to say this. The people of Wisconsin, along with the attitiudes of boondongles. This is what happens when you mix your own attitudes and stubborness remarks. What is this about this state that can’t do nothing and making an assumption that it’s a boondongle, or it will never work? For the first time in my 34 years, I am about to say the words that I thought I would never say. I am ashamed, suprised and concerned as a resident. Very concerned. This would have been a great deal if the so-called people wouldn’t just act so scared and petrified over the talk about having High Speed Rail. I don’t see Illinois, California, Minnesota, or any other state complaining about this. Simply because THEY GET IT! They have more deals than Wisconsin and Ohio, but my question is…what is Wisconsin’s problem? What is Wisconsin’s problem of getting to attract new businesses or new products to the residents? I don’t know what it is. Just another “boondongle mentality attitude” ? Already the state is behind on other things like High Speed Rail. Such as fashion, and I dare say Hip-Hop. That’s right I said it!

Remember when Scott Walker said that “Wisconsin is open for business?” He lied. Walker has been a liar since 2002 and all you have to do, is refer to the things he took away in Milwaukee County that are transporatable: Think about the Milwaukee County Transit System. Cutting bus routes and raising bus fares.  And the scary part? He got paid. The senior centers (or some) cutting them or closing them, and getting the paycheck.  Also I did mention that he never finished college? Never got that degree? Talk about being uneducated. See that’s the problem, Wisconsin. You see things that are uneducated at times while remaining stubborn. Alot of us are probably going to die here by not changing for the better. And we can’t blame nobody but ourselves. Or should I say that “boondoggle attitude”! And yes, Talgo will go to another state despite of the deciding factors of our potential new leadership. SHAMEFUL!

If the Milwaukee-Madison High Speed Rail were to return to Wisconsin, and it would be affordable, would it ride? So I hope that the uneducated crazies in the Badger State, can enjoy their tainted victory. Because that’s all it was. Tainted.
