This whole thing about trolls are just whatever. We read about those everyday just making a fool of themselves everytime they put out a meme, a comment, a posting,  or making fun of someone or something that can lead to someone being banned from Social Media for life. Oh yes we know.

Henceforth, this is in relation to those  whom have no life by making those suffer. Oh yeah: what goes around, comes around.

Milo Yiannopoulos or whatever his name is, last year struck a nerve of SNL Actress and Ghostbusters Star Leslie Jones, all because what he was trying to do is to get her to have some thick skin of something like that. THICK SKIN?! REALLY?! All because of a movie that didn’t do justice that well in 2016. But what made matters worse it led to bullying online. This reminds me of those who want to “rib on those” just to gain attention. That’s all there is. And these “Ribbers” HAVE NO F-ING LIFE! They don’t. Oh by the way, Milo wants to have a scholarship for white folks. Let that sink in.

Fast Forward to 2017. I’m looking at Real Time With Bill Maher this past weekend, and the Milo dude was on the show talking about Free Speech, Trump, his Gay Lifestyle with Pearls, and all this other stuff. I’m like, Who cares? When I looked and listened to this goober, I’m like: Is this the dude that dissed Leslie Jones last year?! Dude looks like a rejected version Morph from X-Men Cartoons! Man, if this was back in the 1980’s he would have been beaten up in a school yard Street Fight. Oh yeah I said it! Back in the day, I got bullied all because of my size and difference. But sometimes I remembered saying this: sometimes you got to a fight back. Period. No matter if it was against some punk kid that kept harassing you all because you wouldn’t fight back. BUT HATERS BE DAM*ED! You will get fought back. Just wait.

I’m going to say this: Milo is a hypocrite. Yeah I said it. He, just any other person will go around and prance around thinking that all this talk poking fun per say is all about Free Speech. Sometimes that “Free Speech” will backfire. Folks who do all this “Shock Jock” comments is all for attention. 10 years ago, ex model Adrianne Curry had her Shock Jock moment when she wants blacks to get over slavery, and to boycott BET and Black History Month all for attention. Guess what? SHE FAILED! She’s not speaking now. She learned her lesson by not dissing black folks in a way of the verbiage “to get over slavery”. Sorry! Even I had a saying all that when Channel 6 here in Milwaukee had blogs!

Just as wise advice to summarize: Black History Month and BET are still alive. Like it or not.

So this Milo dude better be aware. (Warning Shot)

All that shock jocking he’s doing is going to fade out. And basically the best way do it is what Roland Martin suggested on Social Media: Ignore him. Oh yeah, Milo maybe winning the battle now according to those who agree with him per se, but HE WILL LOSE the war later! Trust me on that. And by ignoring this hater will do just that the most. And 10 years from now when I’m almost 50,  he’ll be nothing but a blemished memory that wasn’t all that anyway. Just like any other hater, or troll that will not matter. Not just in the schools, but also Online, at Work, in Church, at the Clubs, at Walmart, the Malls, Summerfest, or anywhere else. Even in the house!

Every now and then, I thought about the blogs I written in the past before “Stephen’s Spot” got started way back when. But I’m thinking about bringing in more Retro blogs that I writen when MySpace had Blogs. It’s been a minute, I’m about to go back. Way back when I wrote this:  One of them:  “It’s time for New Thoughts…..Again” from April 10th, 2007.

Hey folks, It’s time for some more new thoughts!!!!
New Thought: This is for the 19, 20+ year old ladies of MySpace:  Stop being fake</FONT>. I am so sick and tired of some chicks on myspace pretending to be near me. No you’re not! Like, Hello! I have not seen you in Milwaukee before! If you going to be real from your location, or where you’re from, &nbsp;put yourself on 1800USSearch or yellowbook. Ok your MySpace location is fine, but please be real!&nbsp; And take yourselves to church right now because some of you need Jesus!
New Thought: If you have more than one profile on MySpace, and you have the same pictures, and messages, “Hey..Just thought I would say whats up..I’m trying to figure out how to add music and video to my page.. I have NO CLUE lol…can u help? u got M-S-N or A-I-M? Add me on those, my info is on my page…I travel a lot and will be in ur area soon so hit me up on M-S-N or A-I-M..I’m just tryin to meet some new people 🙂 ur myspace page caught my eye… xoxox ” There is no reason to confuse the viewer about what you have on you, than against you. This goes for some chick or chicks named JuicyBella, HunnyBunzz, Sexxxie, BellaSexy, Jenny, Brandy, LilBrat, and Chickeee. Change your thoughts before the deep crap happens! – Could we say Patriot Act?
New Thought:Why is Nigeria scamming Americans? For years I heard over and over again that the country launders money to Americans to get a cut of “the deal”, and then the money goes nowhere! And why are they in Internet Cafes doing this? Folks, we don’t need Nigerian scams in America. Severe it at all costs! Protect your wallets, and your online profiles! This is also a thought for me to never visit there!

New Thought:  Keep Ald. Mike McGee, Jr in seclusion. I may not be one of the voters who decided to keep the Alderman in office, but I hope he, and his supporters got what he wanted, and not only that, he better be real this time. If he’s not, there are important four words to think about: Victory Offers Truthful Equality.
New Thought: Radio newscasters should stop using racial slurs. Don Imus upseted folks last week about his remarks about a female basketball team at Rutgers University. And said the “H word”. To add a stipulation for his two weeks from his show, have him to do community service, in the black community, in the central city by doing interviews of the poor. Hey, that firefighter in Waukesha, Wisconsin went through the same treatment. How’s he doing?

New Thought: I hate to say this but we need to stop complaing about Interracial Relationships. We are all God’s children. It’s a good thing that blacks and whites can come together in families in order to meet each other. Nothing wrong with that. And there’s nothing wrong accepting biracial children in your families either. If you oppose this “race mixing”, something is wrong with you.

New Thought:All Banks should stop passing out credit cards to college students. If you are a college student, or soon to be one again someday, and if you apply for a visa card, you think”jackpot!” You are also probably thinking, cool I can get some more cash! Free money for me! But, if you’re thinking about getting that “free money”, I got some words for you to share if you’re not working at a job: YOU WILL BE TRICKED!
New Thought:Since the holidays of the Fourth of July, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day will come at a fever pitch more often, really there not just days off. Know what the real meaning is before your pitch out your barbecue grills, days of from work/school, and watching sports on your satellite or cable systems.

New Thought: For the parents, (I’m not one myself) if you are at home, or in the mall, or at Wal-Mart, don’t swear at your children. No one in the store or in your hood does not want to hear you scream expeltives just to “hurry up and go” or “put that **** down! And by the way, this goes for those who think that they can handle the pressure. Here are some solutions: Go back to parenting school, get saved by God, and come back happy folks.
New Thought: Milwaukee must stop complaing about the new transit system. For 16 years, the city has saved up $91.5 Million Dollars for the potential new light rail system, and some residents complain that the buses are better. No there not! You know for the city like Milwaukee is behind other cities of amping transit, it needs to “build it now”. I remember that same quote about Miller Park years ago and what was happening, oh that’s right to save the Brewers from leaving Milwaukee!

And finally new thought: When at a cemetery visiting your deceased family member(s) and you see another person&nbsp;driving over another loved ones grave, tell them it’s disrepectful. There is no fun in this. What did that person lying six feet under did to you? Absolutely Nothing! When you take the dirt nap, it could happen to you, but then again you wont know anyway.

Going back to July 18th, 2007 with this retro Myspace Blog.

New Thought: Stay away from Primerica. I mean it. Stay Away!!!!! The 30 year old company called me last week to see if I was intereted in working by selling insurance to customers, or in this case middle income families. Yes, they would invite you into their office, fill out and application, have the semi-interviews, but in the end you might need to ask the questions of the company yourself. Other than that, Ripoff.com. or those whom have contacted by the company for the same issue. Other than that it is wise to have a company looked up to pay nothing for training than 200.00. I got the picture. Did you?

New Thought: Tell the truth. Last week in my MyFoxMilwaukee blog, I posted my story about how I got my BS degree through Distance Education. And I was commented that I shouldn’t mention it.Well, I know that it shouldn’t matter in all, but the thing is here is reason why: I have to mention it:  at an earlier age, my parents and those around me always told me to speak yourself. That was one thing, but the other just to save myself. I mention DE because I did not want to hide anything. That comes to say if you have filled out an application, and the question comes up: “Have you ever been convicted of a crime, or violation of an traffic law?” If you have, fess up. Speak now, or forever hold your peace. And an additional reason is because I had jobs in Milwaukee, while doing DE with UW-Stout. Happy now? Good. That why I do it! Remember these words: Whatever It Takes

New Thought: Martha, Adina, and any other “chick from Wisconsin” who thought I have a twin, or have been in their neck of the woods. Listen here. You have a MS page, but no pictures, why you want to meet me on your fling site? Are you afraid or are you a fake person that wants to get laid? Tell me something! I ain’t buying!

New Thought: George Lopez has to be the funniest latino on the planet. I checked out his HBO Special last week, and to me, some of the things he said was not only funny, but the truth.

New Thought: More Katt Williams and Chris Rock on DVD please. Need more pimp chronicles and bigger and blackers. Or Never Scared vids. I did like the lines that he said blacks should have some white friends. And vice versa. Life is too short. I still can’t over his comments about Michael Jackson!

New Thought: What’s up with black women with red hair? I know this is America. Land of the free. Home of the Brave. Freedom of Expression. But the thing is, sometimes expression, like keeping it real, goes to far. Black women, I love you like sisters, mothers, and aunts, but TONE DOWN THE RED HAIR!

New Thought: Harley-Davidson should invite black artists next year for the 105th Anniversary. Yes I have seen blacks artists on motorcycles, but hey, invites some r&b, hip hop, rap, soul performers next year also. Maybe the thought of Elton John would just go away from 2003.

New Thought: I am not a supporter of Michael McGee Jr. Never have, and now never will. I heard at one time he was a real nice man in a school. But what happened? Oh, we know what happened! Never mind. No, his father did not say he wants to come out of retirement. I don’t see that happening! ViAnna Jordan warned us, and we didn’t listen.

And finally new thought: Despite of the so called warnings from Al-Queda and Osama bin Laden, I am not going to stop being……me. That’s right. I can’t stop being me. As long as we have well trained military personal stationed left and right and protecting good from evil, I am not going to stop being me. As an American citizen, I can say that. To those who commit acts of Terrorism, you can flash all the warning videos all you want to. But the thing is, were watching and our troops, ready.

TBT: Here is one of my Myspace blogs from 2010 around Black Music Month.

New Thought: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! After many many years, Johnnie Walkers in Downtown Milwaukee has closed. I want all those to take a look at my profile pic and notice the blue suit: That came from Milwaukee’s Johnnie Walkers.

New Thought: I smell blood. True Blood that is. Time to fire up the DVD Recorders and DVR’s for a were/vamp/human connection all summer long.

New Thought: Milwaukee, stop tripping about having different “Festivals”. We have Asian Moon Festival, African World Festival, Irish Fest, Festa Italiana, Mexican Fiesta, Arab Fest, Indian Summer, etc. If you were on Facebook, and commented about this and being Americans, look. If Milwaukee had an “American Fest” would that be happy? You can still be a full-blooded American while recognizing your heritage. What’s wrong with that?! And besides, Milwaukee is known for being “The City of Festivals”. Duh!

New Thought: If any Milwaukeean felt noise prone in the Air, complain to the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels crew. Matter of fact don’t complain, because this is what they do in order to protect the country. I didn’t hate on their practices.

New Thought: Cholesterol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always know your cholesterol number. Cause if you don’t, it might kill ya! Wanna go through it? Just take a simple blood test. Then exercise more. I’m telling you this because I had mine done, and well, have to start losing more weight.
New Thought: Enough with BP, BP, BP! I am so SICK of looking at the footage of the oil leak over and over again messing up the Gulf of Mexico. Just plug up the freaking hole already! And plus, if I were President Obama, about the statement of “whose A** to kick?” it would be BP’s. And the TeaBaggers, and the so-called Congressmen who stood behind George W. Bush for 8 years with an unfinished WTC Center, Hurricane Katrina and flew on a Air Craft Carrier with a banner in the background stating “Mission Accomplished”. That’s right I said it!

New Thought: Who the crap is “Amber Smith?!!!!!” And why is this “Amber Smith” want to chat with me on MySpace?

And in conlcusion, New Thought: I’m not a fan of Soccer but Go TEAM USA! I can’t the help the fact that oh, Stephen is a soccer fan? Frankly, I am not a fan of players kicking a ball from one goal to another, and having a announcer screaming GOOOOOALLLLLLLL! Nope not me. And I know that there are countless Americans like me in the country that don’t really care about the sport. Sort of like Hockey.

But for the U.S. Soccer Team, I haven’t really paid attention to them lately. I know this is a dumb question but are there any well-known blacks play for the U.S. Soccer Team? I’m not racist, but just a thought out well rounded question in asking. Just want to know. If there are black soccer players on the U.S. Team, I might take an interest. Just want to know who they are and what city they represent. You feel me?

Back around 2002, I didn’t know a lick about Vonetta Flowers, you know when she won the gold medal in Bobsledding? Every Black History Month I bring up her name because of not only who she was, but that one moment that has escalated in sports history by becoming the first African-American Woman to get a Gold Medal in the Winter Games. So no excuses about blacks can’t get the sport on frozen elements. The same can be said for Tiger Woods. In 1997, he made history by winning The Masters. And he was dubbed the first black to do this. And the same can be for Venus/Serena Williams that made tennis watchable.

So the irony of it is, it’s not me being like, Oh he’s full of it. NO! I just want to know in asking who are the BLACK soccer players, on the U.S. Team? Are they well known? That’s all.

I needed to repost this blog from 4 years ago. August 2nd, 2012. Back then, it seemed that the hair haters of Gabby Douglas had opened up wounds about a hair. Now, yet again, the same hair haters had to comeback and say some smack about Gabby’s hair. ENOUGH OF THIS! Especially if you’re black. In an upcoming blog after the olympics, I’m going to go hard in which the hair haters must surrender. Right now, I’m on a break. But I’m coming back in a direct mean letter to all this hate of Gabby Douglas. Not just for the Hair Haters, but also for the “Overly Patriotic” and you know who you are!

Gabby’s Cool. Stop worrying about her hair!!

I don’t know if anyone had paid attention to this but…..When Gabby Douglas and her Fierce 5 crew won the Gold Medal in Gymnastics recently at the Olympics, there were some bashing of her in regarding her hair. Oh, really?!!! To those that bashed Gabby on that, you need to get a life! Stop It!

This kid just did something positive for the country and here it is that folks are worried about her hair! I mean when you do sweat, your hair is effected by that. What is up with folks, excuse me; Some black people who do this in a negative fashion? No matter in person or virtually like Twitter?

What that tells me that there are pathetic folks who are just well….here it is again “extremely sensitive” about stuff that they feel is well “offensive”. How is Gabby’s hair is offensive to Blacks in terms of what it supposed to look like? Talk about “GHETTO!”

What a joke. I say this, worry about your hair! Also what do we know about Gabby Douglas in general? Guess what. NONE of us never knew this kid before the name came out, along with her talent. The Olympics are not a fashion show. This is like “serious business” here. No I haven’t competed in a Olympic games but I respect the hard work and dedication to get to that point. It’s just like getting the WWE Championship. Sometimes you have to through folks like or dislike just to get the belt!

Don’t like Gabby’s hair? So what. Move on. Just do the thing of respect that the almighty has sent her do and to express her gifts as an Gymnast. Her hair is not that important right now. And by the way, she is competing in a Women’s category for Gymnastics, but she’s still a kid.

Grow up!

Back in 2008, Harley-Davidson was celebrating 105 years of its product. Here is my commentary from the old MyFox Milwaukee Blogs from way back in dealing with stereotypes and race behind the Motorcycle.

I saw the news footage this past Sunday about more of the coverage of Harley-Davidson’s 105th Anniversary. Mainly, the block parties. But the coverage that caught my eye, was summarizing the Martin Luther King Street Party, plus the viewpoints of African-Americans and Motorcycles. Or the “Motorcycles and Race” subject. No question, I’ll give my opinion about it, and I’ll be coming in peace on this. From my personal standpoint, I don’t think, nor believe, that there is nothing wrong with African-Americans riding on a Motorcycle, or getting involved in the Motorcycle Culture. Nothing at all. I see it all the time with any brand, make, style, or design. I see the different groups riding together, and just doing their thing, sort of speak. I’ve had family members that rode on motorcycles. My father and one of my living uncles in Texas, rode Hondas, the V-45 Magna brand, and the Nighthawks. And by the way, they didn’t have Harleys back when yours truly was just in elementary school in the 80’s!

There is no secret that there are black biker groups around. I know about the emergence of women motorcycle riders, but also the emergence of African-American Women are now tapping into the cycle riding. This reminds me of an article I read in last year’s Ebony Magazine. And if you didn’t know, Queen Latifah was on the cover with a bobber Motorcycle.

Ebony Magazine 2007 Queen Latifah

The featured article had summarized about the emergence of black motorcycle groups or the culture. It was called National Bikers Roundup. Anyone heard of this? – For extension of the Roundup, click on the name. As I was summarizing the article, “Speed & steel sexy: black bikers: the rides and the history”    the story recognizes the history, objectives and overall embracement of the event, and motorcycles. Don’t let the title fool you. I also read in the article that sometimes, black motorcycle clubs go overlooked. Partially it’s segregated at times. But now they are getting recognized. I also read that the all types of motorcycles: Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Choppers, and of course Harley-Davidson, are shown as if it was an auto show. Customized, and or pimped out. The article also states about the socialization that the black bikers get together and talk about their motorcycles, price wise and all, plus history of black bikers. Did you know that there was an African-American Woman named Bessie Stringfield, who rode cross-country during the 1930’s, eight times? The article summed it up. Also, another African-American motorcycle rider, the late Benny Hardy, created some of the “Easy Rider” Motorcycles.  He created them, but hardly never received credit for the work. So all those “Easy Rider” Motorcycles that were at the Harley-Davidson Celebrations, were an influence of Benny Hardy’s creation. This is also part of black history that I didn’t about because it was a hidden moment that was not mentioned before. Check the Youtube clip below.

I also read in last week’s Journal about the picture of the black woman model that was in the biker outfit. First I must say that whoever promoted and wrote that article and featured the model, I am impressed! The person who commented on the picture described in words like poise and grace of the model. And added inspirationally. Not only because of the look, but also because of African Americans in general, can now go out and learn how to ride on two wheels. Especially African-American Women. Just for review, here is the link to the picture. And to add, I too think it’s neat! And respectable.

Yes, I will agree that having a motorcycle (no matter which brand) does not dictate Race, Creed, Age, Class, Gender, Religion, Straight or Gay. (Yes I said gay, and that is not a typo!) Also being part of a Motorcycle Club, or part of the Biker Culture that relates to African-Americans should not matter as well. And I hope that the Martin Luther King Neighborhood continues to have Car Shows as well as Motorcycle Shows in order to continue to draw new interests. Especially with Motorcycles in general.

Back in the old MySpace Days, (yes I still at times go to MySpace), I use to ramble and blog about anything that comes to mind. Even about Wisconsin. And many others. Plus this blog was my commentary about Wisconsin, and Juneteenth Day. Which officially became a “State Holiday” in 2010.

Special New Thought: Wisconsin’s New Official Holiday – Juneteenth Day

In case any Wisconsinite didn’t get the memo: the state has a new official holiday, under Juneteenth Day. Despite of what most felt about it, it is now and forever a State Holiday. So I don’t want NO Wisconsinite of any color, including those who are just opposite of me getting an attitude about why the state needs to add Juneteenth to the Badger State’s calendar.

For those who want to know, this was made official last year by Gov. Jim Doyle. But the struggle of getting the holiday to be official, goes back to Milwaukee’s beginnings around 1971. But why it has taken 39 years? Oh let me see: maybe there were some in Milwaukee or Wisconsin felt that it shouldn’t be celebrated. Leave it to Texas.  Or it may not have a belief. Blah, blah, blah. But I have to say after 39 years making it an Official State Holiday, it was well worth it. Now it has to be kept real. That means all of us Wisconsinites can’t shut it down for no reason. Nor escape it. That means more history for us to learn from. For Wisconsin, it means no slacking up, like not enough retaining degree students from colleges.
Now I know what those particularly on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel comments are thinking. They probably are going to assume things with race, and how blacks are treated in public. Lord knows that is what I think the JSOnline has right now. Having commenters who still are stuck by who feel that black people are their enemy. And having a commenter like Eugene Kane leading the pack.  Let me tell you about what I think of Eugene Kane. Personally, I feel he’s a gifted columnist who has a reason to write whatever he wants. He has a decently and brilliance (ala President Obama) and more interesting, he has a direct approach on issues. As far as the issues concerning race, I may not agree with this, but I’ll say it – Milwaukee this for you: Milwaukee whether you like it or not, is a good place on a great lake, got a good basketball team, a huge supporter of the Packers, Brewers, euro centric arts, jazz in the park, Summerfest, the ethnic festivals, etc. Hell, even Lakeshore State Park is good spot. Gotta love the Mil.
But when it comes to be a “segregated city”…..guess what? Truth has just hit you in the face. When Bill Cosby was here in 2004, he had a quote that it was very truthful: “Milwaukee, you are city that has been put on notice. I didn’t do it. You notified yourself.” I hate to say it but Milwaukee is still segregated. Even though it has some nice areas and relations, but still. Some has said years ago that it’s fading out. Has it really? And why is Eugene Kane STILL  reporting this? Well first of all, it’s his job to report things like this in order to inform and summarize. I was writing a blog a month ago on my Fox Affiliate blog, Is there a place for Milwaukee for black people?” and oh, I got on blast. It was a direct reference from NBA Player Josh Smith who dissed the brew city in the sentence “There ain’t nothing to do in Milwaukee, Man. Everybody knows and they know that.” That’s what he said. NOT ME! And plus, another columnist, Mikel Holt went deep about his summary about how the entertainment aspects, jobs, and others don’t appeal much to black professionals. Excuse me, make that Young Black Professionals. And guess what, they move to other climates that they treat them with respect, and never looked back. I hate to tell my Fox 6 Milwaukee blog friends, but that is the sentimental truth in which that some nor most don’t understand. Do I apologize for saying this? Hell NO! But I did say in the beginning, “forgive me for writing this topic”. Have I been forgiven? Really? I don’t know. As for my spiritually, I was raised United Methodist, so technically, I’m a Christian. And I did not, I repeat DID NOT use my spiritually in a way to piss off those to be unforgiving. This topic has nothing to do with your spiritually in any way shape or form.
I was reminded of a quote that Frederick Douglass once wrote: A true patriot, is a lover of his country, who rebukes and does not excuse it’s sins. Let me paraphrase: A true patriot, is a lover of his or her country, who rebukes and does not excuse it’s sins. I was being a true patriot of my game. In similar fashion, I still love the Midwest atmosphere in Milwaukee, but I have to rebuke the segregation, being behind or a tail-end city, and lack of black professionals that is NOT AN EXCUSE! So I have a right to put that on blast, Fox 6 Bloggers. That’s right I said it. Not to hate those who went and lived in Atlanta in all, like I said. I don’t have nothing against the ATL nor those who were born there. I got kin folk living there, and I don’t put them on blast on anything. Nor I think that they don’t have anything against me just because what? I’m black, hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin? Born in the same city that Harley’s, Candice Michelle, The Crusher, Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, and now Danny Gokey?!!!! Get real ATL. And America. Don’t forget, this was the same state that easily voted for President Barack Obama.
In conclusion: Juneteenth Day is now real in the Badger State. So let’s just get with it, will ya?

One of my blogs from the old MyFoxMilwaukee 2008 Blogs in which I did a double take. Walmart, and a MKE weekly paper that was intersting to read. But was ended.

My “Double Take”: Fighting at Walmart and MKE’s Demise

I’m going on a “double take” of My Takes here on the blogs. But before I get into that, let me say welcome to Summer. Let’s just hope that this one is much safer and get involved in activities!
My first take is on Walmart. Oh, yes Walmart. On two separate occassions, and on two separate areas, I visted both locations on the Eastside and Midtown. Mostly to do some shopping and or looking up for a merchandise item for adding for the house or personal needs, like DVD’s. But here’s the thing that got me concerned and offguard: Fighting in the store. At the east side Walmart near Holton and Capitol, I witnessed last month two men having an altercation in a almost MMA/WWE brawl. One of the men was dragged and slammed to the floor near the entrance way in order to be restrained. And it was carried into the back near the security offices. It also turned out that the person was trying to get away with some merchandise underneath his clothes. When I first saw that, I’m thinking this Walmart needs to have some “improved” security measures for things like this to upbeat for the store. And I mean IMPROVED! Also this other fight occured yesterday at the Midtown Center (formally called Capitol Court). As I was about to leave the store, there was a loud reaction coming from once again, the entrance way. I thought someone might have fallen or collasped, but it wasn’t. It was an altercation between a man and woman. The fight spilled from the entrance way to the near side where the bathrooms and checkout counters are located. Mostly it got way out of hand for one of the clerks . I noticed that the woman was restrained by couple of men who was trying to make sure that she didn’t lay a finger on him. Plus, she was escorted out of the store. For the man in the altercation, he too was restrained but continued to walk away from the entrance way and into the store. Another thing that lead to the fight was about mostly the man in the picture gave a swipe to the woman. Almost like domestic disturbance. By the time I got to entrance way, and out of the store, the police were on the scene talking to one of the clerks and possibly one of those who were with the woman in the scuffle. I’m saying to myself asking “what is wrong with these folks bring their business in public?” It seems that there can’t be no shopping in peace and safety no more. Like the eastside, the security near the doors must be IMPROVED. I know Walmart has security on the outside but they have to need on the inside near the entrance way also.
Second take: What do the Hotcakes Art Gallery and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s MKE have in common? Both are disapointed in the idea of the Fonz Statue. I don’t know any of you, but I liked reading the MKE every Thursday. It’s a supplement of the Journal. My favorites are mostly the features, and the “When I was 30” articles. But now, if you don’t know, the MKE’s last publication will be July 10th. The Hotcakes Gallery (never been there) is closing around the 4th of July. I don’t get it. These organizations are just having a fit all because of a statue. Come on. It’s just being silly of them cowaring out of the city over the fictional character. Now me, I’ve said on other blog comments, I don’t care about the Fonz Statue. Never have. Never will. Unlike those I’ve mentioned, I got alot more stuff to worry about, like looking for full time work with an annual secure salary(which is must need for me!) , health benefits, saving gas and more. Now, hold your breath when I say this, but I’ll say it anyway: If it took Visit Milwaukee about $85,000 to raise in order to make the project happen for a statue, I kept thinking over and over again, how would my non-profit organization, my church, for example, could raise $85,000 for a worthy cause? Or how could any Non-Profit company could raise almost that amount to forward a worthy cause turned artwork or whatever? What did they do? How did they carry it out? What were the necessary steps to make this possible? And how could it benefit my company/organization to help those in need? Like getting a new improved transit system for the city without “fear” and “misunderstanding” coming from downtown. Had to put that in there!
It’s just like when Bill Maher said about the Krispy Kreme donuts three years ago: “New Rule: It’s just a donut!” In this case, “It’s just a statue!” Recently, I had a converastion with my Pastor in concering about one of my Men’s Day programs I made for my church. He said one on the members was acting picky of a picture of her late husband that I was mentored by. I had a lot of male mentors in the church. What got to me was the fact the church member is someone I knew since I was a baby, and also one of the ones who helped me along the way to manhood. Frankly, in my defense, (I would not say or end with a yes maam comment) I explained to my Pastor that I was trying to be positive about it. And I didn’t hurt no one. Not one soul! And I put my name on the booklet to show that one day for example, my baby cousins would grow up and see that their cousin Stephen did something cool! It’s individuals like them that once said: “You need to do something constructive or need more discipline”. I think I proved myself in those areas thus far. It’s just take encouragement. Can I say………. move on to what’s important, here?

For Hotcakes and the MKE, I don’t hate them, I just feel sorry for them. I feel sorry because, I think they probably never gave the statue a chance. And I can’t imagine in the next 20 or more years down the line, someone might come and say: “You quit working at the MKE/Hotcakes because of a statue?”

“That is so lame!” “What were you thinking crying over a statue?”

Don’t be surprised if questions like that are asked!

Yes, this is my “double” take. Right or wrong. Just my thought.
