This Sunday marks the annual tradition of Juneteenth Day. But yet, it’s also Father’s Day. Talk about a double whammy of epic proportions. For all the men who are fathers, act like the women are not at the party. Now surely there maybe those will sneak in or this or in this case that probably may just join their husbands and boyfriends and fathers and uncles and or grandfathers to celebrate their day.
But also this needs to be said: for all the women who telling all the men Happy Father’s Day, please don’t. That is just as ridiculous as saying Happy Memorial Day every May. Go figure.
There’s a reason why I’m saying this because not every man does not have kids. Not every man does not look out for kids every single day. Now if those women or if you one of those women who keeps saying “Happy Father’s Day to all men” then maybe you need to look at this from a different perspective. Let me ask, do the women say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Women who aren’t mothers? More on that later. Does any organizations or groups have an all Men’s Day event annually around Father’s Day? If so you probably may need to do that. And not only that, you need to look at another man’s day similar to Father’s Day, and it’s called International Men’s Day, which is in the month of November around November 19th. Check into that and see what you can do in order to celebrate the manual life every single day other than Father’s Day. And I know for a fact, that most of us in this country are just focused “more” about Father’s Day, than International Men’s Day. Get out more.
Now I’m not knocking Father’s Day. No question. I’m just simply saying you just have to be careful how you address the message to all the men particularly on a day like today. Now I know some may ask “are you a father?” If you say yes, okay then get the greeting. But if they say no, just kindly refrain and say okay. No need to say “Happy Father’s Day anyway”, because that will not count. Sorry. And also let’s be clear, if a man decides that he does not want to have children, or get married or both, that’s his right! Ladies, stand down. Let him decide or worry about his Legacy on his own.
And speaking of sorry, there’s a lot going on right now in the world. In America, the January 6th Insurrection ongoing investigations, reckless driving, a shortage of baby formula that will be easily fixed of course. Gas prices vs Electric Cars, an opportunity for addressing the concerns of our LGBTQIA+ members in the community especially with the church, and also many many other things that we have to talk about in which, we already know so far every single day. Including those who still think that Juneteenth Day is a joke in terms of people on social media feel that the holiday doesn’t live up to the hype. Also, there are the Midterm Elections in which these GOP folks are punks trying to undo Roe V. Wade, CRT, the John Lewis Voting Act, redlining, and did I mention that the gun laws are a still problem? Even after the school shootings in Texas? And the shooting in Buffalo, New York? As in background checks, age limits, and ect. Even blocking the ratings of President Joe Biden. While I put myself around some fathers that I know of, and others in general that try to devote themselves every day, I’m still scratching my head again…..
NEWSFLASH: There are men who aren’t Fathers. So let’s not kid ourselves, ok?
Who’s having the worst Father’s Day Weekend the most right now? Don’t just say Vince McMahon.
It is rare that Juneteenth and Fathers Day do happen on the same date. But yes, it happened in the past before the June 19th was made a federal holiday. Anyone noticed that?
Word on the street, that former Milwaukee Bucks player PJ Tucker is opting out of his contract from the Miami Heat. Can he help the deer again?
Who cashed in on the ACP Benefit from the government? This is for those who have a phone prepaid service. It’s legit! Might save you some money.
Is it too late for joining the fraternities or sororities after 40 or 45 years old? Dumb question. We know that answer, right?
Oh check this out: there are some black folks who feel that the Juneteenth Flag is offensive. Since when? 1997 when it was created by a BLACK ACTIVIST?! Do the homework please.
For all those on Facebook who have businesses: If you post an article on your page and if someone tries to share it, it’s a go. But then you remove it based on a decision. Why did you displayed the posting in the first place? Doesn’t seem right.
So what will be the actual reason why the Gas Prices are over $5.00 per gallon? Is it time to go Electric?
We see in conclusion that Walmart fumbled the ball with Juneteenth Merchandise. Yeah they did with the Ice Cream. Why is it that when some thing new comes along, here comes those who want to cash it in on marketing sales?!! But let us not forget, those will be temporary. The black owned businesses (and I mean BLACK OWNED) will continue to sell their merch year round! Just have to find them and support! I’ll do a Juneteenth Day Summary as a follow up.
We knew that Boston sucked. After the Golden State Warriors won the Larry. Wait….is this the same Boston team that beat the Bucks, Heat and Nets in their “Revenge Tour?” And having their coach saying “we pride in our teammates” in all? What does that say about this?
Next year in June: Us United Methodists have a decision to make. By the time the Annual Conferences comes back, we have to make a choice either by staying in the UMC, or going Global. As in the Global Methodist Church. And it’s alot of decision making. So what will be the overall choice?
Let’s get real: Colonoscopy. Age 45 or 50? And extra question: Cologuard or no?
Anyone feeling the USFL? Or Spring Football so far?
“Martin” turns 30 this year with a reunion special with a memory tribute to Thomas Mikal Ford. Who watched it?
When folks do a story about a person, place, or thing, do they actually provide the facts, or just blurt out what they feel without proof? I’ll have more to say about that.
It seems our Election Committees are welcoming back the poll workers after 2 years being sidelined with COVID. Are we doing it, or no?
So Kerrion Franklin was in some recent major trouble, but his father Kirk bailed him out of jail. Should this be a lesson learned? After all the feelings out from him from Childhood?
Most recently, the Milwaukee Brewers have caught up with the City Connect look. What’s your opinion of it? Keep in mind, it’s an alternative look.
It’s sounds to me that Nintendo Switch needs better games for those in the Madden, or 90’s feel. What’s really going on here?
How will Summerfest in 2022 go with the weekend dates?
Class of 2022, how does it feel to FINALLY graduate?
Lil Nas X felt snubbed after he did not receive a nomination for the 2022 BET Awards. Someone probably said, “Bruh….you think you’ll win every year?!!!!” And it’s not because he’s gay.
Wow, the Patriot Front morons are just that: Morons! More like Jacka$$es. Just like the Tea Party, the KKK, the Neo Nazis, the overly fake Christians, and the Insurrectionists of January 6th who are so pro life all because of the LGBTQ Community Folks celebrating Pride in June. Are your kids watching?
International Men’s Day is 5 months away. What is the non-forgetful plan, gents? Get together, men!
Who’s the artist to gain in radio rotation or to download in Black Music Month?
Has Elon Musk actually made the right move to buy Twitter?
When young men hear the phrase, “College is too expensive” or “College is not for everyone”. Exactly what is the motive?
Does Milwaukee need the RNC in the city?
When the poll workers go back checking in voters, will they need security?
Has any male worn blue for Men’s Health Month?
CALLOUT: Does Walmart have black executives that were AGAINST the products of the Juneteenth Merchandise before the pushing the idea?
The Northcott Neighborhood House in Milwaukee, is the main reason why the Juneteenth Day Celebrations still continues. You know the organization is a Wisconsin United Methodist Church institution? Yeah, research.
The 4th of July is coming in two weeks. Will Black America celebrate or not? Or will we hear Lift Every Voice And Sing by Vanessa Williams or Kirk Franklin?
And the last thing: this needs to be asked for real. Of all the events that are coming up in summer, why I don’t ever see the flags on Wisconsin Avenue leading to Summerfest? That needs to come back!
And now…this for the Fathers. Women, chill!
For all the Dads that are just now coming out, what will be your reaction for your OFFICIAL first Father’s Day?
For all the Dads that are still around kicking knowledge, what is your best advice for the new Dads coming up?
For the Men who are active as Father Figures, what is the secret that you know that most don’t know?
In Memoriam: For those of us who miss our Dads, this is hard as we know. How do we go through the storm yet again that our Dad’s memories will not die? No matter when and where? May all of our deceased fathers rest in power for eternity and in peace. Mine also.
What is up with this attitude that when Father’s Day comes around, females usually get angry? Oh, especially around this time of year? Do we get mad at Mother’s on Mother’s Day?
When church comes on Sunday, what will be the estimated percentage of Men coming for Father’s Day? It ain’t big for many!
How many Men have actually wore Light Blue for Men’s Health Month on Father’s Day like Major League Baseball?
I say as an idea: promote International Men’s Day ON Father’s Day! Can this be done?
Should all Churches and Community Groups have an “All Men’s Day?” At least for men whom are not fathers in all? Unsung, perhaps? Some actually do.
Ok, this needs to be asked: what kind of a man is an “Unofficial” Father? or an “Unofficial Dad?” You heard of Honorary Degrees that might be fake. Just saying.
Another question that needs to be asked: no disrespect to Father’s Day or Mother’s Day, but why we have slept on Children’s Day AGAIN? This is every second Sunday in June. Look it up. And don’t say everyday is a Children’s Day.
And………the final question of Father’s Day 2022: While many are just getting on the bandwagon, has every Father in the communities, especially Black Fathers, has finally getting the message to do more in the community than out of the community? What I’m getting at is about Voting, Jobs, Housing, Health and Wellness, Fraterntiy Memberships, Veterans Clubs, Church Groups for Men, Alumni Associations, Neighborhood Investments, Education, Virtual Communications and many other factors that Men and Fathers need to know. All in the name of moving forward. If not, get moving! Learn, study, ask questions, network, and pass the idea to other Men/Fathers that they can better themselves, the community, and for family.
For all the Dads that read my blog, ENJOY YOUR Father’s Day. Be blessed at it. Don’t let none of the disruptive folks hate the thought you got this day. If your Dad is still around kicking knowledge, hold him close! You never know when the day or the hour when it might be his last. And don’t ever shy away from him or what he did!

This Sunday marks the annual tradition of Father’s Day. All the men who are fathers, act like the women are not at the party. There’s a reason why I’m saying this because not every man does not have kids. Not every man does not look out for kids every single day. Or no man does not want to perpetrate as a father for a real father. Now if those women or if you are one of those women who keeps saying “Happy Father’s Day to all men” then maybe you need to look at this from a different perspective. Let me ask, do the women say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Women who aren’t mothers? Do any organizations or groups have an all-Men’s Day event annually around Father’s Day? Now I’m not knocking on Father’s Day. No question. I’m just simply saying you just have to be careful how you address the “message to all the men”, particularly on a day like today. Now I know some may ask “Are you a father?” If you say yes, get the greeting. But if they say no, just kindly refrain and say okay or I apologize. No need to say “Happy Father’s Day anyway”, because that will not count. Sorry. And also let’s be clear if a man decides that he does not want to have children or get married or both, that’s his right! Ladies, stand down. Let him decide or worry about his Legacy on his own.
And speaking of sorry, there’s a lot going on right now in the world. Reckless driving, mental health, shootings when it comes to Juneteenth, and, any black-related event with violent angles we need to clamp down on this YET AGAIN! This is not right! We also need to clamp down on everyday issues of DEI being eliminated from our Colleges and universities, the concerns of CRT being eliminated from conversations that mostly the White Supremacists (yes I said that) don’t understand, even all the banned books and poems that the so-called Right Wing didn’t even the homework. Oh, as far as folks who are so woke and confused, yes this is for the ADOS, FBA, and B1 folks, you are on my list concerning Milwaukee’s Juneteenth Day Celebration. Also, when the issues of employers are telling workers who are remote or hybrid at home, to come back to the offices, or they may face their jobs in jeopardy. The employers should be able to keep the Hybrid/Remote Jobs completely. The United Methodist Church, in full swing after their Annual Conferences is now in full swing about the post-disaffiliation regarding the split from the denomination concerning the LGBTQIA issues. Listen, that is the main reason why the UMC is in a concerned mess. And other issues that I may not name. And once again, the issues of Father’s Day and Men’s problems in all are still in the same boat when it comes to the day of Father’s being less than Mother’s Day. The same with International Men’s Day and Women’s Day.
While I put myself around some fathers that I know of, and others in general that try to devote themselves every day, I’m still scratching my head again…..
BREAKING NEWS: There are men who aren’t Fathers. So let’s not kid ourselves, ok?
Who’s having THE worst Father’s Day Weekend the most right now? Don’t just say, Donald Trump.
For all those Miami Heat fans that hated the Milwaukee Bucks, how does it really feel to end at 4-1? The same record you gave the Bucks in the first round of the playoffs. Oh, congrats Denver Nuggets.
Repeat from last year: who cashed in on the ACP Benefit from the government? This is for those who have a phone prepaid service. It’s legit! Might save you some money.
Is it too late for joining the fraternities or sororities after 40 or 45 years old? Dumb question. We know that answer, right?

Last year, we saw in conclusion that Walmart fumbled the ball with Juneteenth Merchandise. Remember the Ice Cream? Now, of course, many black-owned businesses are cashing in on Juneteenth items that many should have not avoided. Is that still working? Have we got it right? And unlike last year, there aren’t any Juneteenth merch in the stores though. Check Amazon.
Last June, we in the United Methodists had a decision to make. By the time the Annual Conferences come back, we have to make a choice either staying in the UMC or going Global. As in the Global Methodist Church. And it’s a lot of decision-making. So what will be the overall choice? And for those right now as the Annual Conferences had ended, who’s left to stay? And to be extra clear, this is not just United Methodists, every other denomination in some sort of comparison is going through the same thing. Let’s not kid ourselves.
CALLOUT: It seems that our Juneteenth Pageant Competition in Milwaukee had a bad reaction from these groups called, ADOS, FBA, and B1. For those who don’t know these groups, they are some organizations that are really stupid when it comes to black folks. They don’t read enough information, are always blabbing on Social Media, and have the ultimate option of disrespecting the winner of the pageant that was a graduate of Rufus King High School. Her name is Adaobi Nnamuchi, 18 years old, and has a future that would be great to follow for all young people of color as well as anyone else. She recently became Miss Juneteenth 2023 and already her name is catching on around Milwaukee. However, when it came to social media, there were mixed reactions both positive and mostly negative based on her native country of Nigeria in terms of slavery (in what they did apologize) and this is what the ADOS, B1, and FBA folks are aiming at on Social Media. I begin to wonder, what did she do? What was her crime?!!! This young lady DOES NOT deserve that reaction at all! And also all about this talk with her native country in all with slavery, what did she do to deserve this? We, adults, need to be better than this!
When folks do a story about a person, place, or idea thing, do they actually provide the facts, or just blurt out what they feel without proof?
Who’s buying Mortal Kombat 1 in the fall?
Star Trek: Picard Season 3 will be in the stores in September. Does this mean it earned respect?

Has any male worn blue for Men’s Health Month?
So there are those who are stealing Pride Flags, and ripping them off of veterans organizations areas. What are they really afraid of?
So, in South Carolina, there was a Juneteenth Day banner that had this:
What was the purpose of this banner knowing that Juneteenth is about freedom for African descent? KEYWORD: FREEDOM!
The Northcott Neighborhood House in Milwaukee is the main reason why the Juneteenth Day Celebrations still continue. You know the organization is a Wisconsin United Methodist Church institution? Yeah, research it and see why.
The 4th of July is coming in two weeks. Will Black America actually celebrate it or not? Or will we hear Lift Every Voice And Sing by Vanessa Williams or Kirk Franklin? Don’t be surprised if many put a diss rhyme about 1776. Or even an excerpt from one of Frederick Douglass’s speeches. You know the one that many don’t read the whole thing. (SPOILER ALERT!)
If you are on Wisconsin Avenue, when you see the BRT Buses rolling what is the reaction, or will be the reaction after riding them?
And the last thing: this needs to be asked for real. Of all the events that are coming up in summer, why I don’t ever see the flags on Wisconsin Avenue leading to Summerfest? That needs to come back! Any Milwaukeean should know what that means. If you don’t know what I’m talking about,
